Just wanted to send out a shout out and a big thank you to all the veterans. Your service for the freedom of our country and others is greatly appreciated. So thank you to the veterans that protect our freedoms. If you are not a vet, but know one, please share with them that they are appreciated. Who knows what this world would be like if they hadn't stepped up to the plate and made a difference in all of our lifes. Also please remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our rights and freedoms.

Thank you,

Jean

ps I did a search, but didn't see another thread in honor of Veterans Day so I hope I'm not duplicating. If I am, thank you again.

GOD BLESS THEM ALL!!!!!! wish my pops was still alive so i can call him. if there wasn't a man more proud to serve his country during WW2 along with 4 of his brothers in the same war!

to note kids were so rude today b/c as cashiers we couldn't give change b/c the banks were closed(run out of change money we would have been SOL tomorrow). they mumbled about stupid banks(and us for sure LOL)and i just politely reminded them its veteran's day :D. didn't hear to much mumbling after that.

What a thoughtful post! :) Myself, I am a Navy veteran, married to an Army veteran. Plus, everyone in my family (except for one of my brothers who is disabled) has served:

Dad: Air Force Vet, 26 years, served in Vietnam
Mom: Women's Army-Air Corp Vet (that's what it was called in the 1940's!)
Brother: Air Force Vet
Brother: Marine Corps Vet
Sister: Air Force Vet

And thank you too to all the Veterans out there!!! :D

The last week of bootcamp we got to go to "Boardwalk and Baseball". .. an old amusement park that used to be in Orlando, Fl. I loved bootcamp and part of that reason is we had an awesome company commander! That's her below holding the stuffed raisin. :) That's me on the far left.
