I just realized how there are no advertisments or other pop-up boxes that appear on this web site. THANK YOU!! (Isn't it the case that we often take good things for granted, but notice the things that annoy us?) Jeanne

Wish I could say I never had popups on this site. I just had "Visit Great Sites IEP" pop up on me. It lists 5 site links for other, what at first appear to be, fitness related sites. One is for treatments of eating disorders--whatever! Another is for DietDivas.com. The third is for weight loss products cheap. PULEASE!

Debbie must be right. It must be my server at home! Because now that I'm reading the forum from work, I'm not getting those annoying pop ups. I am going to have to complain to comcast!

Sometimes pop-ups are timed to pop some five-ten minutes after you open a site. For anyone who is interested, there is a free pop-up stopper utility that I use, which you can disable when it sometimes won't let you open links, www.panicware.com. It's called Popup Stopper. I love it. Also, lavasoft.nu has free software to clean ads out of your registry and hard drive.

I agree! I hate those pop us! I used altavista.com for years as my main search engine, but when they added the pop ups they made me insane so I switched to google.
However, I want to say that the little banner ads Cathe has at the top or sometimes at the bottom of the pages here don't bother me at all.
