Thank you for Fit Split!!!

I just completed Push and my muscles are singing!!! And cursing, but I love it all!!! The workout is quick and effective. This series is so timely for me because I'd been researching push/pull routines and trying to develop a rotation for January. I've decided on: push, cardio, pull, rest. Repeat. I love the variety that the new series (and all of Cathe's workouts) offer. I also supplement some exercises with weighted tubing because of elbow issues. I also like to superset with weighted tubing for back (straight arm lat pulldowns into face pulls).

When I started incorporating weight training into my workouts my body composition changed in a way that can not be accomplished with cardio alone. In 2015, I weighed 269.2#. I am only 5'. In less than a year, I'd lost 124# and then within 6 months lost another 20. Lifting heavy helped to reshape my body in ways that I had not imagined. Changing my diet and focusing on learning how nutrition and how foods affect my body and my daily life/activities was also key. Now, I focus less on the number on the scale (I don't own one anymore; it began to own me.) and more on how I feel about myself, how I look and feel in my clothes, and how my body feels in general. It's much less stressful that way.

This afternoon, I'm going to do Fit Split low impact cardio even though it's not my cardio day. I'm looking forward to it!! :):)

Wow... congratulations on your weight loss and fitness journey, StrongIsBeautiful! It takes a lot of effort to do what you did so hats off and keep it up! I also love what weight training does and am enjoying Fit Split's new strength workouts - they definitely pack a punch (in a good way)! :D
