Hi Jes,Nadine and the rest of the Texas party gang!!

OMG you all are making me laugh so much; all of you guys seem like you would be SOOOO much fun to hang out with!!!

Nadine, perhaps when Jes is finally able to come to NJ on the pretense of "business" you could come up with her as well.....the more the merrier, LOL!!!!:7 }( :) I could take you all to NYC and we could all paint that town red (then we could get together with all our fellow Catheites there and make it one HUGE get together!!)

I would so love to meet you guys!! You know I have always wanted to visit San Antonio......now how far is that away from you guys??? I need to do a lot more travelling as the farthest west I've ever been is Chicago:eek: !!
 
As far as food, I can eat anything, unfortunately. So Chamberlains sounds great. Maybe we should do just an hour or two of dancing to work off the meal, then head for a quieter spot. Of course, it's up to you guys. What I pictured was, that since we're in the Addison strip, we could look around and see which establishment appealed to us as far as bars or music or dancing, etc.


Another thought was, what will we ride in? Does anyone have a large SUV or should I rent one for the weekend. I think it'll be more fun that way & noone gets lost. Nadine or Shonnie, what do you drive? Otherwise, I'll go ahead & rent a large vehicle.

Nice jeans, a feminine nice blouse, and heels with a small purse is acceptable. A dress is always appropriate, too.

I drive a smaller SUV so I could only carry 5 including me. So far we have 7 "yes-es" and Pinky meeting us for dinner (hopefully) I won't be doing any drinking (for medical reasons--but I'm still fun I promise) so if you did rent something I'd be willing to be the Desig. Driver and could PM you my license # to be put on the rental. I also have a clean driving record and insurance (man I'm getting too serious!) <slap> :)

Dancing a bit after dinner is good for me too. As long as you all PROMISE not to make fun of me! I Remember the frog in a blender quip and at the time I thought "gee I hope that's not me!";) I just like to move! It'd be nice afterward then to go someplace quiter to talk some more!

Also I'm wondering if my e-mails might have been ignored by some people since I forgot to mention "Cathe" in the subject. DOH!!! Do y'all think I should send a follow up with a better subject line? Or am I being too...um..."retentive?"

Shonie-- It's amazing how "in-tune" we were with each other! Too Weird! I wouldn't be surprised if we did show up dressed alike! Umm I don't think my parents gave away my twin at birth, but...."Mom is there something you want to tell me!?!"

This sounds so much fun!!!! i think happy hour, dinner, a little dancing and then somewhere quieter to talk sounds fabulous!!!

Nadine: so far, this is the third post i have done to get a head count and you emailed everone( a big task! thank you again!) so i don't think you need to redo them. That, of course is entirely up to you though.

Marla: JUST a thought....(i am by know means being a diva!) but around here renting a limo for one night is about the same cost as renting a big SUV (i worked at Enterprise for a short whilex( ) i obviously know nothing about the prices in Dallas, but would we like to do that ladies? if not, then the big SUV sounds fine to me!!!!:D Either way, i'm just glad to meet you all!

Either of the restaurants is fine with me. I don't care much for seafood so I'll probably have a steak from wherever we do go. Didn't see any lowfat options so I also vote for at least a little bit of dancing. I promise not to make fun of Nadine and I hope no one makes fun of me! Remember the Seinfeld episode where Elaine danced at the party? :eek: Well, I don't think I'm quite THAT bad! haha!

Sandy - I LOVE NYC! The thought of all of us going up there together would be so cool! San Antonio is pretty close to me - I'm in the Austin area and it's only about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour depending on how fast you drive.}( If you ever do visit SA, let us know we could all meet up somewhere....

Nadine- I vote you email again with 'Cathe' in the subject line. I get a lot of questionable email that I just delete if I don't recognize the name. I actually got an email from a girl named "Cinnamon Rice" yesterday. I was about to delete it (thinking "That's GOT to be porn!) but then I found out it was an email from someone in our IT department. :7

Seriously though, count me in to help with the cost of a rental.

I just want to say how jealous I am also!!! This sounds like so much fun!! Hope you all have a great time and take lots of pics!! We'll be thinking of you!
 
Transportation: I drive an Acura TSX ... so can't fit too many people in it. I would also be up for renting something and have no problem chipping in for SUV, Limo, and/or male stripper (as suggested by Nadine). Otherwise, we could just take 2 cars. Marla, can you check into the transportation information (prices/etc) or would you like me to do it?

Sounds like an itenerary is forming and is something like:

Meet at hotel and check-in
Drinks/talking at hotel lounge
Dinner (Chamberlains -- with MEAT :))
Dancing (to work off some dinner)
Go to quieter place for talking (could be back at hotel lounge? Or some other place)

WOW...sounds like a full evening for sure!

I seriously doubt if I'll be able to make it. But, if I happen to change my mind at the last minute, what time are you all meeting for dinner? If anyone going could email or PM me their cell phone number, that would be great. Then, if I do happen to make it at the last minute I can call you.

Hi everybody!

Sorry it took me so long to chime in. Life got a little hectic on me for a while there. I'll be there!

I just made a reservation at the Westin Galleria Dallas for the 16th. DH will be joining me, we'll drive up from Houston that morning. All the plans look good - cocktails, Chamberlain's, dancing - I'm up for it all.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

ok, so the suv holds 8 and it's way cheaper than the limo. i think we will have just enough room according to current headcount!
