i looked on the Westin site and check in is at 3pm. Rooms are $140 on Expedia for 1 king or 2 doubles. Anyone found a better price?

Which Westin is it? I live in the North Dallas area (Flower Mound) -- would it be a far drive?

Hey Pinky --

It is the Westin at the Galleria. I'm actually planning to move
to Flower Mound in the next few months (after I sell my house in Coppell). Hope to see you there! I'd say it's probably only a 20-30
minute drive for you (depending upon traffic...but that goes without
saying).

BTW, I'm officially checking in.

Hi jdoll and Shonie, thanks for letting me know. What time is dinner? The 16th is a Saturday; I could probably arrange something. IF I can make it, I won't be able to stay long, but it'd be nice to put faces to the names I see online.

Shonie, it's funny... we used to want to live in Coppell but couldn't find a suitable place. We're in Wellington. Hope you'll be close by.:)

Maybe we should book the hotel by this weekend. I don't mind sharing with 4 or more girls, if the hotel is alright. I'm very flexible. But it's less than a month ahead so I don't want not to be able to get a room. Shonie, what do you want to do? Girls?

Jes and I were PM-ing and she said she thought it'd be alright if I shared a room with you 3. Is that's ok with you and Shonie? If so I say go ahead and book it! I never like to leave things till the last minute!

And yes, Debbie, we'll be taking pictures! I'm going to take my digital and hopefully someone else will too.

I'm really looking forward to this shin-dig! Finally getting to "meet" everyone is going to be great!

Marla -- I would love to see your lovely face on your posts. I'm starting to see equate you with a nurse with big hands and a slapping glove. ;) I remember you did post a picture once and you're gorgeous! Where's that pic? :)
 
Marla, You're funny. I guess I do need to change my gif. It's just hard finding one the right size & I don't take too many pictures either.

As for the room arrangements, maybe we can get together this Friday evening or Saturday & work this out. I don't know how many people are opting to go, but 4 people to a room would be perfect.

Actually if it's only five of us, sharing a room is alright with me, as long as the hotel doesn't have a problem. Otherwise, we can sneak someone in! Tee Hee!!}( :7

I guess I'm gonna show a little of my "high-maintenance" side here when I say that 3 to a room is about all I can handle -- mostly due to the shower situation in the morning.

I forgot about the shower thing--running out of hot water is NOT an option! :) My husband likes to take long showers and we kept running low till we replaced the water heater with a bigger one!

HEY LAURA , you want to share a room with me? We can ask Kelley (whom we're picking up in Waco-if she's coming) if she wants in too. I'm gonna book a room this afternoon/tonight.

EDITED TO ADD: I just made a reservation for 1 room 2 doubles/2people is $139.00 + 15% tax. 3 or 4 people is $25 per person more. For the King room it's 3 people with the 4th $25 extra. Roll-away beds are another additional $25. She might have been running low on doubles as I had to get a smoking room (ewww!) I hope that's ok with you Laura--I figure it's only one night

I told Jes that I have a list of people who were interesed in January and I'll e-mail them in case they haven't seen this thread. They have to quit exercising sometime to at lease check their mail! :) Hopefullly we can get a less rough head count. I'll let you know.
