Taryn Rose shoes

Miss Lee

Have any of you ever purchased a pair of Taryn Rose shoes? I've read that they are supposed to be very comfortable yet fashionable, a combination that is hard to find. I believe they were designed by a female orthopedic surgeon. I'd be very interested in any reviews.

I have a terrible time with shoes. I recently ordered six pairs from Zappo's and had to return all of them:-( . I have high arches, a high instep, and Morton's Toe making finding shoes a total exercise in frustration. I have a history of plantar faciitis, too. I need shoes with good cushioning and excellent arch support. What I'm looking for now is something to wear with dressy slacks and a casual loafer to wear with jeans. Any recommendations are welcome.

TIA:)

I've seen Taryn Rose shoes advertised in the paper (NY times), but haven't really seen them in stores. The most comfortable shoes I own are Mephisto, which you can find at Nordstrom and some specialty stores. I, too, have a tough time with shoes... especially if I need to do a lot of walking... and I swear by my Mephistos. I can walk my dog, at a very fast pace, for an hour easily in my Mephisto sandals.

I also have a history with PF and have tried on Taryn Rose shoes. They seem very comfortable and supportive, but I just couldn't get past the price! I found 2 lines of good looking shoes that come in many different styles that offer support and comfort (found them at Designer Shoe Warehouse) and have a more reasonable price tag: Anne Klein Flex and Liz Claiborne Flex. I work in retail 2 to 3 days a week and even being on my feet all day, these shoes still don't make my feet hurt.

HTH,

Becky

Thanks Delfin and Becky!

Delfin, I've been wearing Mephisto's for years. I got my first pair of Mephisto walking shoes about 10 years ago for a trip to Germany and have had several pairs since. I love the sandals and wore them all summer.

Becky, I've never tried Anne Klein or Liz Flex but maybe I should. I know, the Taryn Rose price tag is enough to make your eyes bug out, but I'm so desperate to find comfortable AND fashionable shoes that I'm willing to pay big time--lol! I have several "functions" to attend and I need a nice pair of dress shoes. What I have now make my feet scream. I need a good, cushioned foot bed and that's hard to find in a dress shoe. :-(

Thanks again for your input. I really appreciate it.

Yeah, they're great, but even I wouldn't spend that kind of money on shoes.

There's a great brand of shoes on Zappos called Fitzwell--they're really cute & very comfortable. I've bought 5 pairs over the last year.
