Sweat hit the TV!!

Okay so I just had to post this here because only the ladies here could appreciate it. I have been on very long hiatus from working out due to a combination of laziness and bursitis in my hip (translation - sitting around on my a*s).

My copy of the 4-day split arrived and I sat staring at it still wrapped in the plastic for days wondering if this was going to be what motivated me. So today I came home and got right into my workout clothes still not sure what my intention was. I mulled through my dvd's while holding the new Cathe in my hand, I even pulled out a yoga dvd saying to myself "I'll do yoga and just watch the new Cathe after". I am not sure what motivated me but I thought I don't need to learn the kickboxing I could just do that...and I did!

I was moderately grossed out and strangely proud when during the upper cut & hook combo sweat flew off my arm and hit the TV. Oh the power of Cathe! I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow, but it was worth it. My heart rate monitor said 639 calories burned, avg heart rate 146, max 183 (almost dead I think).

I previewed boot camp and did get scared, so hopefully I don't lose my nerve to continue on and see if I can get the sweat flying again.

ZOWIE! Is going up to 183 ok?? I forget how old I am sometimes...I'm 46, so just 174 would be 100% of my upper range!:p My heart rate monitor starts going crazy when I hit 155 (90% of my range!)

I know what you mean though about sweating....yesterday I was drenched. I'ved used the FIRM in the past, and still will (I'm getting back into exercise) but I've just discovered Cathe, and don't remember ever sweating this much before!

I have a weird heart rate thing where it goes up super high, super fast, but also comes down quick. I tried to use an elliptical machine at the gym that once that uses your heart rate to set the program and the thing was just yelling at me telling me to slow down, but I was practically crawling on it. I bought the HRM after I did IMAX 3 once and was bright red just to see if I really was gonna drop...and pretty much I was. It just seems to be my normal state. I'm 32 and about 15lbs overweight for my frame so maybe it's just my hearts way of complaining about having to carry my a*s around!
