Sunday Nov 4,07 BFL Free Day!

HPLECTRA

Cathlete
Hello and Good Morning,

Here I am up bright and early. My cat woke me up at around 5am to be fed. I guess she isn't with it because to her it is 6am. ;-)

What is everyone's plan for today?

I guess I will be taking my DD and DS out shopping for clothes and shoes. Last week it was my DH.

I am going to add in a stretch and abs. I am feeling pretty tight from yesterday's GS C&T and iTread workouts.

Veronika: I like to plan my workouts by the time as well. At least I will know how much time I would need. I use the catalogue from Cathe which gives times for most of the workouts. If what I want to do is too long I can either use a timesaver or split up the workout (morn/even).

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Heidi, and all who follow!

Heidi, that was a KILLER workout you had yesterday! Good job! I'm actually a little sore from LIC. It's is obviously good to shake the routine up every so often.

Hope everyone enjoys their very much deserved free day. I'll be having the now infamous pumpkin muffin this morning, but then I'm back on plan for the rest of the day. I kind of fell off the wagon on Friday, so today will be one free treat for me, then BACK ON TRACK! I'm thinking I might try out BM2 today. Wish me luck!

Good Morning Jen,

I was just reading Veronika's post from last night and remembered that she said for yesterdays workout she did BM2 and she was totally wiped out from this one.
If your going to do this one today your going to really feel it tomorrow! But it is all good right?!

I haven't done this one completely for awhile now. I did do the timesaver cardio portion on thursday which was a really good workout but I haven't gotten the foot work down yet. I always get confused as soon as Cathe turns her back on the reverse V step.

My shoulders and legs are really feeling yesterdays workout today! }(

Have to go do some yoga stretching before DH wakes up. :)

Hi Heidi, it's funny you mention that reverse V step, because I've started BM2 a few times, get to that step, and then get discouraged and turn it off. I'm always afraid I'm throwing away precious workout time by trying to learn it and failing to get my heartrate up where I want it to be, you know? But seeing I got a good workout in yesterday, and it's not going to hurt if I don't max out today, I figure I'll take my time and work through this one so that I can utilize it to its maximum potential in the future. Bottom line, I don't expect to feel wiped out after it today, but I do expect to have fun!

By the way, you had me laughing about your DH trying the treadmill workout. That gives you some nice bragging opportunities ;-)

Good morning! I'm having my morning coffee before I go try Step Blast again. I'm using the FitTv version and it's not helpful to go back after commerical into the middle of a segment.

No free day for me today. One of my dogs has lymphoma and has been doing well with treatments. We ended tx 2.5 weeks ago and Friday night the tumor came back. So I had a few too many Smirnoffs and halloween candy to self-medicate x( and will use that as my free day. We do have a lot to be thankful for. She has outlived the six month prognisis by a month now and tolerated the treatments fine for the most part.

Sounds like I need to get this cookbook!! Are the recipes BFl-Friendly?

Jen: I always get discouraged if I have to try to learn footwork and take my time. But in the long run, I usually do still get a good workout in.

Heidi: I'm spatially challenged. I have a really had time any time Cathe turns her back to me. You see should some of the silly steps I make up to keep working until I get it.

Colleen

Colleen, I am so sorry to hear about your dog! I know how hard it is...our dog Hero is not doing so well. He is barely eating now and I am pretty sure he has cancer that has spread. Because he's hardly eating I don't think he'll make it to Thanksgiving. So big hugs to you <<<Squeeeezee>>>.

Well ladies, no LIC (not enough energy) yesterday but I DID get in some power yoga. I was really tired last night so I went to bed early. Of course I was then awake for the second half of the night (am I starting to sound like a record?). No rest day for me today. I am going to take a nap in the early afternoon and then later on in the afternoon I am going to get in a good cardio workout. My plan is to go to bed around 11pm and maybe between that and the cardio workout I'll actually be able to sleep all night! But I'm hanging in there and not giving up!

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Hey ladies. I've read all your posts today, but all I feel like saying or typing right now is that I'm hungover! lol We had the Halloween Party last night in the neighborhood and I had a bit too many drinks (beer). I'm not in BAD shape, just feel kind of wierd. lol

Today is my Free Day. We got home last night at 2am (AFTER the clocks were already moved back), BF left my house at 5am, and the kids were up at 8. UGH! lol Slow moving today.

I will most likely NOT be back on the PC today, but I will be back at it STRONG tomorrow with lower body weights.

SORRY SORRY SORRY to hit and run....my couch is calling my name! lol Now I remember why I stopped drinking so long ago! lol

Gayle

Oh Gayle, I've been there too many times myself! I feel for you right now. It's not bad enough that you had a few too many, but to not be able to sleep off a night like that is the worst! And yet, at the time the fun you're having seems soooo worth it...

Colleen, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I hope you can keep the poor pup comfortable.

I did manage to get a decent workout in, even though I was learning choreography. I just had to cut it short because it was taking me forever with all the rewinding. Doesn't matter though, because I know I'll have no problem getting it next time.

Jill, I really hope you get the rest you need.

Jen

Hi to all,

Hi Jill: Which workout did you end up doing?

Gayle: I agree with Jill. A one time splurge and you will be back on track tomorrow. Feel better soon! :)

Colleen: It is no-wonder you had that many drinks! Sorry to hear about you dog. It seems that you and Jill are having a rough go of it lately. I hope too that things will be more comfortable with your dog.

My DH and I just finished fixing a problem with the dishwasher. If it isn't the washing machines breaking down it is something else to aggravate me!

I ended up going for a walk with my DD for girl time today instead of stretching out. This was really good for me and her to be able to talk for once. She is always busy, busy with school and such.

We have planned and booked our trip to the Cayman Islands! We are headed out in early January. I am staying for a week and my daughter is staying on for the whole month. She really needs a break from it all. We have family down there and a place to stay so this will work out fine. All of us are going except in my oldest son who is 22. He lives away from home with his girl and works FT as a manager of a restaurant. My daughter will have her grandmother to keep an eye on too so she doesn't get into trouble. They both will fly back together which is good because my mother-inlaw shouldn't travel alone.
Now...I really have to work on getting myself in shape! Going to be seeing family and have to wear....a bathing suit?! I prefer my shorts of course. :)

Let us all get a goodnights rest and be back tomorrow strong!
Have a goodnight all. :7

Heidi, the Cayman Islands sounds fabulous! Ahhh, I can feel the ocean breeze :)

No workout this afternoon. I got sucked into watching Spiderman 3 with DH and DD. It would have been a much better use of my time to exercise, though, as I thought that parts of the movie really stunk. I am SO glad I didn't see it in the theater! Plus, it was just so darn long!

This week is going to be super busy for me, starting tomorrow. I've got to get up early and get in a work out at 5:30 if I can. I have to go to school a few hours early to meet my chem teacher during his office hours for some help. After school I will be taking DD to her High School Musical dance class that she is signed up for through the rec center here. Then a friend of DH's might be spending the night because he has a meeting in Denver and it's closer from here (1 hour from Denver) than from his house (2 hours from Denver). Tuesday is my long day at school because of lab and one of these days I want to take Hero in to the vet to get looked at and get him some more Rimadyl. And I have two exams next week that I really need to start studying for (I have 4 chapters to read before next week for one class and solubility constants and thermodynamics to understand for another!).

Heidi, can you pack me in your luggage? LOL
