Sunday check in TTC/Preggies

Mikki

Cathlete
Good morning all. Though I'd check in. Just finished brunch with the inlaws and dd and ds are running crazy through the house.
I am going to do BM 2 today, or as much as I can:confused:
Hope everyone is doing well today and I will check back later!

Good Morning!

I'm Danielle and I'm new here...just got a + result 3 days ago---due date on 10 April. This will be my 3rd. I have an 11 yr old boy and a 7 yr old girl. We're so excited for another! :D

I've been doing Cathe for about 3 years now and I also do marathons and triathlons. I actually just did a triathlon this AM! I'm hoping to keep up as much of my fitness as possible during this pregnancy and I am so happy to have found this forum!

Good Morning!

Mikkia, I hope you get your workout in. BM 2 is one of my favorite workouts.

Welcome Danielle and congratulations! I am 29 weeks pregnant with my third! It goes by so fast. I enjoy running too. I have never done a marathon but hope to do a 1/2 next September. I think I will have plenty of time to get ready for it since the baby will almost be a year old then. How did you do on your triathlon?

Kate, I do the blind shaving also. I can still see a little bit by lifting my stomach up. I would be way too embrassed to let someone wax me right now. I don't even want to look down there:D

I am so excited, I cleaned out the entire playroom that is now going to be the baby's room. I had some motivation b/c I bought the crib, dresser and changing table yesterday and it is going to be delivered sometime this week:)

I don't think I am going to get a workout in today. We'll see I might do some kickboxing later.

Candra

Good afternoon everyone!
Welcome to the forums Danielle and congrats on your pregnancy. I used to run a lot but it caused too many injuries so now i workout from home to cathe and other instructors. Im going on the Road Trip this weekend - excited! I am about 11 weeks pregnant with my first and i'm due in mid feb.

good luck with body max 2 - thats a toughie for sure!

Today i did 4 day split bootcamp and the bi/tri weight on it. Then i did the weights from LIS and HIS so i had a good long workout, mostly weights. I needed it after last month and not working out much.

No plans today except get some cooking done, watch the dogs and pick up my dad from the airport tonite. EArly bedtime tonite since i have to get up at 530am tomorrow. blech...

hope everyone has a great sunday!

Mikkia, You're amazing to get your WO's in with company over! I always feel wierd doing that. BM2 is so much fun on a Bosu!

Danielle, Congrats and welcome!
Props to you on your tri this AM!! I'm jealous! Do your kids know yet?
I have a 6-yo. girl and a 4-yo. girl. Our third girl (!!!!) is due Oct. 18.
Candra & I actually have the same due date!

Candra, Good for you getting so much done! I've been trying all weekend to get DH to help me start clearing out this office to make it the baby's room. As soon as I'm done typing here, he's gettin' off his duff! (wicked grin!) Looks like blind shaving is the majority rule around here! Guess I'll try it out tonight!

JenM - Kickin' butt on the WOs!! Good for you! I haevnt' done BC in a long time! Kinda scared to! But I guess I made it thru an hour of Cathe BC at RT - I should do it tonight. Get some rest tongiht- you have a busy day!

---------
We're going to some friends for dinner tonight. I hope she makes somehting clean! I hate not being in control of my menu!

Will do some cardio after we get home tongiht. And I'm going to pressure (kindly!) DH to lift. He hasnt since before we left for our fam vaca.

Hvae a great day!

PS - sorry for all the typos - too lazy to fix em today!

Hi everyone!

I never did make it back yesterday. Some relatives of dh's came in from out of town unexpectedly, so that made the afternoon go quickly. I really like these people--better than much of my own extended family

Dh and dds had a really good time at tae kwon do camp--it's very family oriented. Very few children were there without a parent and many family members came who don't do tae kwon do. It's fairly reasonably priced, so next year, we all may go and hang out.

My workouts are sucking big time. I did 3 45 minute sessions on the stationary bike and some shoulder, bicep, and tricep work whilst gettind dh 13 (almost 14) set up on his weight training program.

+++++
Danielle--Welcome! :D You sound very fit! My injury prone body won't allow for either marathons or triathalons, but boy do I admire those who can do those things. I am expecting a girl as well. She is due in a couple of weeks. This forum is very supportive.

Kate--LOL on the grooming issue. I am so there. I haven't seen my nether regions in months, but they feel hairy and gross. Dh does do a bit with scissors, but I'm really nervous having him do it--I'm afraid he'll snip me. Plus, I like to really have it looking even, neat and trim--he just cuts off the excess--who knows what it looks like. Sigh...... proper grooming will come soon.....but not before everyone in the labor and delivery room sees my unkempt parts....but then again, they probably see all kinds, so why am I so stressed about this?

JenM--If I were going on the road trip, I would definitely splurge on something extra cute and comfy--I mean road trips don't happen every day! When do you leave? Oh and I start showing as soon as I know I'm pregnant and when I get around to posting a picture, you'll see why :)

Candra--have fun registering for your baby shower! And enjoy your alone time--I always enjoy having a bit of time to myself.

Jen--I get winded so easily, it's hard to believe that just a few months ago, I was able to complete an hour, sometimes more of hardcore cardio--I know I'll get it back, but still....it's kind of depressing.

Mikki--How long are the in laws staying? Sorry about the painting woes--I freshly painted a bunch of stuff last year and now it has been marked up with various artistic media (I wash it every now and then, but then they seem to think--look! a blank slate!--it's just a season, it's just a season, it's just a season.... )Oh and we live in Portland, Oregon.

Lisa--good work on the weight gain and the workouts--you are in the 3rd trimester now--how exciting! Have you had trouble with your glucose test before? If not, I'm sure you will pass it.

Kristan--a swim sounds heavenly--cool and weightless--what I wish I was right about now. Instead I'm hot and heavy and not in a good way :p.

Hi Anne! Hi Susan! Hi Morris! Hi Trish! Hi Stephanie!

Maggie :)
37 weeks, 6 days

okay, inlaws have gone to San antonio, I am going to do my workout right now, okay in a minute. I touched up all of the paint in the house now and the trim, i have been working at it all day. Then the kids and i made Runzas, which is some kind of german/polish recipe, but they are so good. You have to make homemade bread dough, which the kids think is so much fun. then you cook ground beef, then add a head of shredded cabbage, an onion, garlic and cook for ever until it is all gooey, then roll out dough and put mixture in and seal and bake. So yummy, and the kids think it is so fun(thought it takes at least 1/12 hours to do. So we having them for dinner.
Danielle-welcome!! I am due with #3 in january. I was supposed to do a half marathon in November(no way now!). Now I am settling for modified cathe workouts! We are glad you are here!
kate-my dh is planted firmly on the couch, with his honey do list on his chest, its been there for 2 hours. I am also chiming in on the blind shave, its got to be better than nothing.
maggie-I think towards the end its hard to workout, you can't breathe! I am glad camp went well. Still laughing about dh and the scissors.
candra-what color is the baby's room? How exciting!
Jenm-your workouts are so good. I did 4ds bootcamp last week and my arms ached for 3 days.
ok, now I am off to work out. Or try or just watch Cathe do it for me.:p

Hey Girls!
Dh and I are back from taking Haley to TN. We had a nice visit. I held baby Abbey too much though...my neck is all sore now! Bad on my end..I knew better. Anyway, it was fun.
According to my calculations I should be ovulating anywhere from today through Friday, so with DD gone..Im fair game any time, any place!
Welcome Danielle!!
Kate-your shaving crisis cracked me up. I have got to be the hariest woman alive, so this is a concern of mine too. With dd i basically just let it go and that was NOT a good idea. I probably scared the dr! I would try the mirror for guidance.
HI Mikkia, Candra, Maggie(any contractions?) Jen, Jen, Anne, Melanie (hope you are feeing better)
Guess I better get unpacked..I am a bit lazy though. I dont HAVE to make dinner or HAVE to play a game...so I can be lazy for a few!

Hi all, just checking in today. Started doing some double workouts on the weekend since my second job is done. Trying to do cardio in the morning and weights at night. I usually get preggers when I'm finally back in shape, so hoping it works that way again. In the 2WW now.

Melanie - Wanted to send you prayers and let you know I'm thinking of you. I pray you find peace soon and can find happiness again.

Susan - Good luck catching that egg! Then you can join me in the 2WW!

Kate - Hilarious about the shaving. Funny thing, DH always wants to try shaving me there...is that weird or what, I hope not...I think he just wants to prove he can do it better than me! Not sure I can trust him not to knick me! It's hard enough myself...

Mikki - Sounds like you had a busy weekend with all the painting and cooking. Sounds yummy!

Maggie - You're 37 weeks! You should be happy you're still doing workouts, nice job! Don't be so hard on yourself...

Danielle - Welcome to the forum and congrats!

JenM - Nice job on the workouts!

Hi Candra!

Hi Lisa!

Nothing new here. Plan on a short week this week. I'll be heading back to WI for the last half of the week to visit mine and DH family. Like a mini vacation and maybe spend some time at the 'family' cabin. Looking forward to time away from work. Should make the 2WW go a bit quicker!

Take care!
