SUNDAY 6/13

macska

Cathlete
Well, good afternoon ladies...

Where is everybody?:) :)

Good start for the day for me:

20 min row
Terminator - Viper
Kenpo -- first 20 min

While doing Viper today I came to my own conclusion that P90X is not necessarily harder than Cathe but it's very DIFFERENT from the usual Cathe moves -- and that's a big deal for me.

Enjoy the rest of the Sunday girls!

I agree completely Mari, P90X is alot different, which for some of us could be something we need....:)...I did KPC abs then a 10 mile trail run by a lake here. Took a jump in the water about 9 miles into the run, very refreshing! I might do the stretch DVD later. This recovery week should be fun. Are you able to read some more of Eat to Live?....:)...Carole

Day off for me that is where I am LOL!!! RESTING!!!

See you tomorrow for my workout post!!:) :7

eat.

Hi Carole

Yes, I've read some more of it and I truly like it.
I do have many nutrition books, I love to get all sort of information from them.
I'm pretty bad to stick to only one though.
My whole family had diabetes, even I had diabetes when I was pregnant -- not now thank God. But my blood sugar can be all over the places if I don't pay attention to what I eat. Protein is very helpful for me since it tends to stabilize my sugar -- but to eat a lot of fruit is not such a great idea. I realized that we all need to eat more veggies for good health. Actually inspired by the book I had a veggie burger (instead of the usual turkey) for dinner with a huge salad. YUM.
Unfortunately I also like (need) to eat more frequently during the day as opposed to 3 larger meals -- still the even blood sugar issue. But I learned a lot, and I will really try to eat more veggies than before. And it's nice to see that you can have your protein from veggies too.
So.... this book is definitely on my favorite list, still have to read the recipes.

Thank you for calling my attention to it.
:) :) :)

RE: eat.

Mari, glad you liked reading it. I didn't quite know how someone diabetic would deal with the fruit? When Dr Fuhrman says he has helped his Type 2 diabetic patients get off their insulin by following his diet I wonder if he has them back off fruit a bit? Nobody in my family is diabetic so I don't know alot about the disease. I don't just eat 3 meals on this, if I get a bit hungry I have some more fruit or some beans which doesn't happen all the time. I also had some trouble with not thinking I was getting enough protein because I still have the "Zone" ingrained in my brain! Which is why I use the whey protein, so I can get more. I was only really tired the first week and now I am really feeling good. I also feel like I am helping my body. I would really like to eat this way forever with occasional cheating. But, I thought that about the "Zone" too...:)...Carole

I'm here!!!!!!!

Hello girls! Today I did PCircuit (cardio and back), 10-10-10 (triceps), Winsor Pilates (Advanced Body Slimming) and 10-10-10 (stretch) :)

I want that Kenpo DVD x( , but I don't want to buy the whole P90X set I wonder if that's possible...

Take care everybody. Have a nice week!
