Summer Fitness Challenge March 11-15

The scale was nice this morning. I am down another pound. So I am down about 3 pounds since starting the fat loss rotation. I am not counting the 5 that was bloat and gained from before I started the new challenge.

I think the key for me is to not deprive myself so much at dinner. I have a normal portion, with normal food. I am not starving at night so I can eat around 5:30 or 6 and be done for the night.

Today I am going to McDonalds for a playdate. I have my kids on milk and apples, and a hamburger, no fries, no soft drinks. They don't mind one bit. I don't like going to McDonalds, but I do love their California Cobb salads with the grilled chicken--it's da' bomb as Randy would say. Does anybody watch American Idol? This is my first season tuning in, it's very entertaining.

Today is a run, and one segment each of CM, and SM.

Well, it sure doesn't look like summer here, but I'm hoping that this snow is the last of it. It's a bit depressing.

Today I'm working until 1 o'clock, then getting pampered at the hairdresser, home to do Kick Max and then going to see "Bride and Prejudice" with a girlfriend. I'm going to try my best to avoid eating anything at the movies.

I'm so glad the weekend is here. If I didn't know better, I'd swear I have PMS.x(
 
Good Morning Ladies....I am going to finish out the week doing Firms, and then go back into Cathe. I have been so tired and achy lately, I think I have been overtraining. I am NO WAY going near a scale yet. After all of that bad eating, I can feel it in my stomach. YUCK. Oh well, have a good day everyone.

hi ladies - i'm still here, just not ehccking in as much because my life has taken over my fitness goals at the moment. I think I am finally broken of my urge to not care at all about diet and eat whatever the heck I want, and I am still accomplishing something workout-wise (but not as much as I'd like). I think I need to find out where my fiance and I will be next yerr (now its looking like Mobile Alabama) - I can't think straight without knowing!

Will be away this weekend then back with a vengeance. Don't give up on me!
 
Hi Ladies,

We went to dinner for my sons 15yr birthday, and I ate way too much. I had a grilled chicken salad, but it was huge and I'm definitely feeling yucky today. I drank plenty of water too.
I plan on doing GS BSB and PLB tonight. We are having a party for my son tomorrow and it will be a challenge to stay away from the brownies he's asked me to make.

Good Afternoon,

I was supposed to run today. My dh is working, so I didn't know if I would be up for it when he got home tonight. So I did high step challenge. It wasn't on the rotation, but I figured it would get my heart rate up. I will run tomorrow. I am supposed to do MM tomorrow, but since I did HSC, that might not be wise. I may try to go for a little walk when dh gets home if I am not too tired.

Eating is so-so today. I had too many pieces of red licorice and some saltines-too many! I am making spaghetti for dinner. I am a glutton for punishment. I shouldn't make it, but I have all the ingredients on hand and not much else to make for dinner.

Lorihart, where are you? I hope you aren't sick. :(

Last night wasn't such a great night.I found out that my boss took very little out for income tax last year and I am going to have to pay through my nose!She never use to give us pay stubs so how was I to know? And then she didn't even have nerve enough to call me today.Not that I was awake b/c I slept until 3:30.I was depressed about it for a little while but I am over it now.If I have to pay in,I have to.There is nothing I can do about it.
DH is out and wants me to join him.I am not so sure that I do.I have to pick up my daugther in 45 min and then I may workout.
Eating as been in control on my night shifts.I figure if I can go 13.5 hours without eating (in the night) and not be hungry,then I don't think I need to eat in the night when I am not working.make sense?

Morning everyone!

I love Saturdays!!! Today I'm going shopping with my sister. I'm on a quest to find some new workout bras. So far, the Champion ones I'm looking for have been elusive.

Last night I did Kick Max. I LOVE that workout. I managed to make it through all the blasts except for a few of the plie jacks and a few lunges. My quads were screaming but I was proud!

Today I'm going to do Imax 3 (along with Cleanmax;).

Eating yesterday was okay. I had a few too many crackers, I think.

I found Champion sports bras at Target. I got a gray, and a black one for 6.99 each, on clearance. This was a couple months ago.

KM is a good workout. I don't know what I am going to do today. I switched things up yesterday. I need to run today. I think I will do a segment each of CM, and SM, and run when dh gets home.

I am also doing more cleanmax. :) I was up until 11 last night washing floors and cleaning. I have more to do. I am going to tackle my bathrooms and laundry.

At work today.I didn't workout last night.DH wanted me to emt him for drinks so I did.And we are going out for dinner tonight with work.I am planning on running when I get off at 4.Should be a good workout b/c my pants are feeling tight:-(

All right, today I did Shovel Max (I can't wait for Shovel Max season to be over!) and Clean Max, and followed that up with Imax 3 and the abs from KPC.

So far, my eating is okay. I did have a date cookie, which was delicious and just made me want MORE date cookies.:)
 
Hi girls. :)

Tonight's dinner was horrible. I made chicken fried steak with homemade gravy, mashed potatoes with tons of butter, and broccoli. I was feeling so guilty I went out to run. I could only run 2 miles because I was having a side stitch that I couldn't get rid of. I came in and am vowing to run tomorrow instead of using my rest day.

It just wasn't reasonable for me to make that. I was flipping through my Southern Living magazine and I found the recipe, and I was like oooohhhh..... I have all of the ingredients for this!! Oh well, it was absoulutely delicious. Tomorrow is going to be really light!! It has to be!

I have decided to weigh myself only once a week. The scale is driving me nuts. I definitely won't be weighing after tonight's fiasco, but for now on I am weighing in on Monday's.

I dunno about horrible, Lori, that dinner sounds DELICIOUS!!! But I can how running after all that would be a hard slog. Don't beat yourself up. You enjoyed it. We have to let ourselves go occasionally

I'm not supposed to weigh myself at all, but I'm going to try to go with once a month and see how that works for me.:)

Had a horrid sleep last night filled with weird dreams. I'm going to run this morning and then do Body Max weights and abs later on.

SO is home today and wants to go out for a long walk/hike somewhere and then to our fave Vietnamese place for dinner.

Thanks for the encouragement Shelley. :) The hike/walk sounds so romantic. I wish my dh would suggest something like that. His idea of a good time is sitting in front of his big screen, wathcing the latest dumb flick. :)

I am drinking coffee, contemplating what I am going to do today. I need to do more laundry, and there is always cleaning to do. My boys spilled strawberry milk on my matress the other day!! x( I didn't know they had it in there. I have to scrub it down with lysol or something. I thought I got it all up, but I didn't because I could smell it last night. :( I don't know if it's going to come out or not. Sorry I am rambling about a matress, but it is so distressing.

I am working in my yard today, and then running when dh gets home. Have a great Sunday!!

Good Morning Ladies,
Sounds like you two have been up for a while,while I am just getting my lazy backside out of the bed! I went to check in yesterday after my workout but there was something wrong with DH"s computer and my DD had this computer tied up,playing a game.
When I got home yesterday I did a 5 mile run on the treadmill and some abs.Then I got ready to go out.We met for drinks around 8.I had some sort of pork and noodles for dinner but I didn't eat a whole lot of it and thennnnnnnn, I had some cheesecake:9 See,Lori, no need to feel bad cause I don't. Other then that my eating was great yesterday.I only had a egg and a whole wheat english muffin around lunch time.Then we went out for more drinks until 2 in the morning and DH let me sleep until 12! With all the work I have been doing, I really need to catch up on some Z's:eek:
Yesterday I felt huge.The night before, before we went to bed DH ordered these oven subs and I ate 1/2 of one.And my pants felt so tight yesterday it was gross and my belly hurt to.I ate it and then went right to sleep! I could feel it going on my hips and belly:(
So my friend e-mailed me yesterday and she was whining about the samething.She wanted to tone up(she already as a beautiful figure 5'7" 128 lbs)So we made some diet rules, are throwing $2 a day in and starting today.If someone cheats the other gets the money, if no one cheats,we spend it together later.

Shelley-We haven't had any snow here in a while.Thank God! Halifax was getting some yesterday so I thought it was gonna come this way but we are getting freezing rain today.The weather as been pretty good here considering that it is Newfoundland.

Lori-Sorry to hear about your matteress! We just put new carpet in our basement and i have been a bag of nerves.I won't let my daugther drink down here b/c I know exactly what will happen.And the carpet is a off white color so it will show anything.Milk is the worst though.It gets so sour.

My workout is going to be tonight when DH goes to hockey.I think I will do a bit of cleaning now.

I spent the morning in the yard, pulling weeds, and planting seeds with my kids. We went for a walk, then a bike ride. I came in, cleaned like a mad woman. When hubby got home, I was not up to working out. I just wanted to have dinner, a shower, and relax. I don't feel guilty about it either! :)

Tomorrow starts week 3 of the fat loss rotation. So far, so good, considering I missed a couple of things-mainly just coremax and stretchmax segments. I am looking forward to working out tomorrow.

Lorihart-your challenge with your friend sounds fun. I read your post on your weights that you use for upper body. Very impressive. :)

I'm SO JEALOUS!!! I can't wait to get out into my yard and start pulling weeds and planting things. I guess I'll let the foot of snow melt first thoughx(

This morning I went for a run. About 7K. It was snowing when I started but by the time I headed back the sun was out and it was brilliant. Shovelled the walk and driveway AGAIN (please Mother Nature, I beg of you, NO MORE!!).

This afternoon my SO and I went for a long walk (about 6K) down by the Bay and looked at a lot of ice. Then we went for dinner, which was nice. This evening, I did Body Max weights and abs.

I baked today. Pumpkin scones and pumpkin cranberry loaf (are you sensing a theme?).

I hope everyone had a nice Sunday. Tomorrow is the start of another new work week. WHOOT!! Okay, well, not so much with the whoot.
 
Good Morning, we were awakened by the smoke alarm going off this morning. There wasn't a fire, just time for a battery check!! It was around 5 when it went off. Then the whole family was up at 6:30. Dh is still snoozing. I am up with the kids trying to drink my coffee in peace while I type this.

Shelley, you must get a great workout just shoveling snow all the time. How long does it take you to shovel the driveway/walkway? Your baked goods sound divine!

I think HSC is on the schedule for today. I need to muster some energy. I was up late last night. I think I will workout when younger son is napping. I will check in later.

Lori-I can't beleive you are pulling weeds!Do you even get snow where you live? Not for very long obviously.

I didn't workout yesterday.I kept putting it off and you know what that means...it never gets done.Eating was good so I didn't feel to guilty.I had planned on doing cardio but then it came to my attention that my 8 yr old is having trouble with her subtraction.So I had to sit down with her until 10! She is never up that late but I had no choice.It is just as much my fault as it is hers.We left the homework for the last minute(again) instead of doing it as soon as she comes through the door.And it probably wouldn't have hurt to look in her school bag,then I would have known she was having trouble.I think she as a btter understanding now.We are going to have to practice every night for a little while.
Today is cardio.I think I am going to do something from the HC Extreme DVD.But I would really like to try HSC again.If I plan it for this afternoon it may not get done and I start work again tonight.
