Summer Fitness Challenge Mar 20-27

Good Morning,
I can't beleive we were on the other page and no where near the top.I think that means that we were not posting much yesterday.Shame on us.
I tried watching my carb intake yesterday and it went good.But with all the breakfast talk about Kashi Cereal I had to go buy some.I have been eyeing it for a while but never bothered.So I bought it, and the soy milk and I really enjoyed it.My plan was to workout first but I was getting to hungry and I knew what that meant.I'll end up picking at things that aren't healthy.
I didn't get to workout yesterday:-( We went out for dinner and I didn't have time in the evening.But today I am going to make the most of my day.I am going to do GS C&T and I am thinking about 1/2 Imax 3 and a 30 min run.
I have to work again tonight so I am trying to figure out how to work my food content today.I think I should save around 200 cals for popcorn.If not, I could end up picking at ice cream and cookies:-(

Hi everyone! Did you see the thread on the Firm BSS4??? All of the negative comments, do you see why I am embarrassed to say I still do them??? I am sorry, but the BSS3 cardio's are really tough, and I sweat buckets, and I like them. The incline box really works the "Thut" area, and I can notice a big difference when I do them regularly. I am going to do one of them every day until I go to Florida.

Eating has been well. Life is busy, as usual, like everyone!!!

It's grey and dull here today, with a chance of some snow later. WHEN WILL IT EVER END????x(

Last night I went for a really good run (lots of steep hills) and then did the weights and abs from Body Max. I was really tired but it felt good.

Tonight will be KPC. Or I might get adventurous and try Low Max!

Lisa, I am so impressed with your ability to stay on SBD!! That is such an accomplishment. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration!

LoriS, I didn't read the Firm thread, but who cares what they think. If it's a good workout for you, then it is a good workout.

Lorihart, I know what you mean about the scale. I am not weighing myself until next week. I am the same, no gain, no loss this week.

I can imagine my weight is up today because I had a terrible day yesterday. Finsished up the playset, went to lunch and the bookstore with my sister, kids and hubbies. I came home and had a dinner date with friends. So basically I ate a lot and didn't exercise at all yesterday. My lunch was Mexican, I came home and tried to run but couldn't. I was too full. So I justified that I would go out to dinner and not eat a lot, but I had 2 beers and Japanese. So what the he$$!! I had fun, but was discouraged because I am supposed to be training and eating right. Maybe I need to go read the Self Sabatoge thread. :)

I will check in later to report my workout.

Thanks Lori! SBD is not as bad as I thought a diet would be. I'm actually enoying it!

Don't be discouraged - everyone needs a cheat day now and then. Call it that and move on to the next day whe you'll do better. :)

I did KPC this morning but only 40 minutes worth - that's not bad for me considering I haven't worked out in a while. It felt great!

My hubby tried the Billy bands this morning and liked them so I'll try them again on Ultimate Bootcamp tomorrow - I want to like something about this new series so bad!

I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror after working out - my tummy looks a little flatter! Sweet!!!! Ithink I started off wanting to lose 69.5 pounds (yow that sounds like a lot! I can't, for the life of me, see that much extra weight on me. But it's there... somewhere...). 11.5 down - 58 more to go! Woohoo!

Hi Gals,
Just got back from the mall with my mother....its like christmas up there.I guess the easter bunny is almost as important as Santa.I was getting very irritated.People were cutting me off and other people would just STOP in the middle of no where.You know what we need to do to people like that? Just keep moving your cart.Eventually we will get enough people in the back of the heels that they will stop doing it:)
I did the workout I had planned today and eating as been going really well.
And I have to work the night shift tonight.Oh well...I think I am going to take a nap:)

Hi Ladies,

I'm still here and no I have not given up. I had a training class last week at work and am home with my boys for a few days of spring break. Anyway, I've been exercising and eating the best I can. The clean eating has been difficult since my kids birthdays are in the same 6 wk period, 2 are just 2 weeks apart. And today my oldest son is 17. We are going to dinner tonight and I plan on have a grilled chicken salad. mmm mmmm! Today I did MM, yesterday was MIC and Core max, mon-GS C&T, sun-off, sat-GS BSB, Friday-Leaner Legs and coremax #2. Well that is as far back as I can remember.

I see we have some newbies, welcome to the challenge.

Good evening!

Well, I was supposed to do KPC tonight, but I decided to do Low Max instead, for the first time. IT WAS FANTASTIC! What a lot of fun, and I even managed to get most of the combinations without too much graceless stumbling around.

It's snowing like a son of a gun here but I REFUSE TO SHOVEL!!!x( It's going to be 4 degrees Celsius tomorrow and sunny, so it can just MELT.

I am so embarrased to report that I had another day of not working out. I was outside all day doing yard work so that burned some calories. We had soccer practice and then a Pampered Chef party. I ate everything in sight. I am not making excuses but we have had 30 MPH winds, I couldn't run in that. I could of done LowMax, but I didn't. :( This cheating won't last for long. It's just been really busy and hectic around here. Tomorrow I will report something better. :)

Good Morning,
Soon to be good night for me! I managed to get a 30 min nap.That nap is whats gonna get me through the next hour.
I have worked at the airport for almost 2 years so I know a few people up here.Last night I was just getting ready for a little snooze and people start comming by.One of my co-workers from my other job stays for to long and finally he leaves.When I am at my other job we laugh and carry on and we are pretty open.And we say things, that sometimes, makes your jaw drop(but everyone is just joking)He was here last night and he wanted me to rub his shoulders....then he wanted to rub mine.I was A LITTLLLLEEEE uncomfortable.He is always doing stuff like that at our other job but he does it to everyone, and it isn't a big deal b/c there are lots of people around, but I felt really uncomfortable last night when he asked me to do it and we were alone.So I didn't.FINALLY.....2-3 hours later he leaves.It wasn't soon enough.DH would flip if he knew this.And I sort of felt guilty for some reason.I wasn't doing anything wrong but I felt like I was in a situation I shouldn't have been in.I was at work..I couldn't leave.Prehaps I should have asked him to leave.He was saying other stuff but iwon't go there!
Anyway,Im sure to him,it was no big deal but to me it felt weird.
Today I would like to do GS legs and a run but I don't think I am going to have time for both.SO it will just be a run if I can't do both.
I will check back when I wake up.

Hi Ladies......I am in such a good mood today, after being so blue for so long, it feels good.

The thing about the Firms is they were so easy for so long, and I have none of them. But, the last set they put out are very challenging, and I really like them. I still don't like the weigh workouts, they are always too short, and total body, I definitely prefer Cathe there, but those cardio's, like I said, very challenging, I love the incline box, and fun!!! When they come out with this next set, I will get the cardio's in that set too.

My eating has been good. I am surprised, but it has been very clean, and gone well.

I took my dog to get an x-ray yesterday to see how many puppies there were, and there are 3, possibly 4. I am so excited!!! In a week is her forst due date, so it should be in about 8 days and we will have puppies!!!!!

Morning all! I did Taebo get Ripped Advanced 1 this morning and I LOVED IT! This is what i want from Taebo - intense cardio! It was great!

I'm almost through with my first week of my second phase 1 of SBD and things are going well. Going to make that Balsamic chicken tonight with a grilled tomato topped with feta cheese. YUM!!!

Lori: Just reading about that situation made me a bit uncomfortable, so I can imagine that you felt that way being in it. Maybe you should tactfully let him know that what is approrpriate at your other workplace is not so appropriate at the airport one?

Tonight I'm planning to do Muscle Max in it's entirety for the first time. Wish me luck!

Im Awake! Man, what a beautiful day I missed:-( I went to get a coffee and I had to have the windows down in the car it was so warm in there.If I had gotten up earlier,I probably would have tried running outside today.Some spots would have been tricky though.
I had a pretty good nap.I slept from 8:30-2:30.I am going to have to catch a few z's tonight and not sleep so late tomorrow b/c of the party.I would also like to get a workout in tomorrow.
I couldn't resist and I weighed today.I was down 4 lbs.But I don't think they were real lbs.Maybe 1-2 the others I don't think were fat to begin with.
I sitll plan on working out.I have 3 hours befor work again.

Shelley-He will soon be gone.Everyone is moving so I won't have to worry about him visiting once a week.Like I say,we carry on at work, but everyone does, I hope he doesn't take me seriously.He wasn't gett'in anywhere last night anyway.He is a married man to, with a 2 year old.I don't think he meant anything serious by it but it was still werid and inappropraite.It would have been different if after he had said something he said"no,Im just jok'in with ya"But he didn't.He just kept it up.I hope the next time he comes in, I have planes and he as to go back to his office.I can't imagine being a cheater.It felt so uncomfortable.I don't know how people do it and then go home to face there SO.

LoriS-I use to do a couple of the firms first when I started working out.The covers use to trick me.It looked like you were getting a new video but the workout was actually old as the hills.Big slouch socks and tights.But it was an o.k workout.That was before my cathe days.

Diana-(i think)I am so glad you are sticking to it.How are your energy levels?You sound like you have lots of energy.

Good Evening,

Well today was very busy. I have the Spring Fever so I was out in my yard this morning, went to my son's school for a party. I came back home and worked in the yard all afternoon, then went for a 4 mile run. Wow, what a day, I am beat! The sad thing is the inside of my house is a wreck and I have a million loads of laundry to do. Tonight I am going to get some done while I watch some TV and piddle around.

Eating has been very poor. Cookies, candy, fast-food, the whole nine yards. It is atrocious. I feel so lousy too, physically. Why do I do it?? x(

Lisa, awesome job on the diet. Your meals sound great.

LoriS, your workouts sound great.

Diana, great job. Everybody is doing so well, except me! :)

LoriH, be careful with your friend. It sounds like he is flirting with you big time. You are cute as heck, so I am sure he is attracted to you. I always felt so uncomfortable when somebody massaged me at work. I found it extremely unprofessional. You probably aren't out in the public, but I was. So it was really tacky. I will shut up now, because you didn't ask for my advice. :)

Thats fine.Advice is great.Like I said, we do it at our other job all the time,but its not just me, its all of the girls.But you never get anyone saying stuff like that when it is just two people in the room.It was getting weird and I wished I could have disappeared.I am hoping with all the fooling around at the other job that he never ever took me serious.He is one of those weird people who doesn't like eating off of people, and he doesn't even let his wifes toothbrush touch his.So one of the girls we work with who is 40,(she is so funny and just likes to play around,her husband just shakes his head b/c she is harmless)She chased him around one night,trying to kiss him.So Im thinking,I never did that, so I hope you aren't taking anyone serious.Its all fun.And maybe he was just joking but I know he would have rubbed my shoulders if I had let him.He actually started rubbing my tricep and I pulled away b/c I said I worked out today and it was sore(which was true)but I good excuse.I think he was trying to get me flustered and actually thought he was getting somewhere.
I really think it was an ego thing.Maybe he thought that I really wanted his 6'5" 320+ lb body!Blah!!!!Not that a man that size can't be hot,hes not and I am so use to my 5'9" 140 lbs man.
Anyways,its over,hes moving,I won't have to deal with it ever week.i just think about how pissed DH would be if he knew.

On a brighter note, I had an AWESOME workout! I used my daugther MP3 player,which had some awesome tunes on it,and I ran for...get this....8 miles! 75 Min.I haven't done that in a long time.And b/c I have been deglecting my abs, I worked them before the run for 15 min.
It was a great run, nothing hurt.And I haven't eaten much b/c I got up at 2:30,ate a cookie:eek: and I brought some cereal to work with me.I have popcorn for later

Hi All,

Today I went to the rec. center and did 40 minute interval run on the elliptical machine and 200 mins. on the stepper. I was plannin on doing Imax 3 this morning but didn't get up in time. I'll try for that one again tomorrow morning.

Now Nurse Lori, don't be so hard on yourself. We all have those days where we eat everything in sight and then sit on the couch and watch tv. Just make sure there aren't too many of those days. We are all here to support each other. Tomorrow is another day, so plan your work (out) and then work your plan. You can do it!!!

LoriH, Awesome job on the 8 mile run!! And abs too! I am impressed. I want an MP3 player so bad. I think it would make runs much more enjoyable.

Lori H- 8 miles, WOW!!!!!!! That is a long run!!!!

Nurse Lori- Oh, I had those eating days last week. It will get better, and one good day of eating, and you will be back to your old self.

I think I am going to do L&G's today, and some cardio, tomorrow I will do Low Max. I haven't done that workout in awhile.

I took my daughter for Chinese yesterday. I think I ate good, but how do you know what they put on those dishes?? It was a buffet. I did not eat any rice, I just don't really care for it. I got 2 helpings of the green beans, which I love, but it tasted like there was some kind of oil or something on there. I also had some chicken and veggies. I had a ton of veggies, it was just the sauces I was worried about. But, I tried, what more can I do??

Im so excited! The scale is moving down!!! Last week I was 131-132,today I was 127.5 lbs:) Listening to your body sure does work:)
I am running again today.But it is going to be outside.Something else to be excited about.I haven't ran outside in a long time but the sun is shining and the roads are pretty dry.

Lori-Its bad when your eating is out of control.Mine as been like that to.Although I tend to pick sweets instead of a meal.Very rarely will I go out and order fries and a burger but I could pick all day at sweets.A friend of mine was having pms the other day and when she listed off what she ate...I was surprised she wasn't throwing up.Something else a man doesn't have to deal with.
LoriS-I haven't done L&G in a while.i was hoping to fit in GS legs but I don't think that it is going to be possible today.

How is everyone else?
Today is the day of the party.I have 5 1/2 hours before people start showing up.I want to go for my from 2-3, start decorating and cleaning up at 4.That should give me lots of time.I don't plan on doing a lot of cleaning b/c alot will need to be done tomorrow so whats the point?
