Summer Fitness Challenge April 25-May 1

Hi Ladies,

Yesterday I did RS in the AM and Leaner Legs in the PM. This morning I did PUB and am heading to the gym for some cardio here shortly.

Lorih-I set up all custom foods with all there nutritional values and used those instead of the available ones fitday provides. It took a little while, but after about a week or two I had most of the stuff I ate all plugged in.

Robyn-great job getting back into your workouts. I'm so proud of you. You are doing great.

Loris-hope you start feeling better soon.

Terri-Still waiting to hear from you:) The weather is yucky today as you know. Are you planning on running in the Bolder Boulder? I was, but now I am having surgery on May 26th, so now it's out of the question. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Gals,

Everything is going pretty good here today. I went for a run in the a.m and I am going to do GS legs now.Im sure my legs will be feeling it tomorrow.
DH and I are going to go out for a couple of drinks tonight and some wings. I know....BAD GIRL...but my eating as been pretty good all day so hopefully I won't blow it tonight. You can only eat so much of that stuff anyway.

Can someone help!!! What a day....what a day, busy non-stop.

Last night workout: P90x Shoulders & Arms I really like this workout, set your own goal kinda thang. I did Ab Ripper or should I say Ab Ripper did me ;o) ;o) I did 8 out of 12, not too bad, huh! Next time I’m going to nail all 12 of those buggers. Tonight: P90x Legs & Back.

I have decided which ones of Cathe’s tapes that I’m going to incorp with BB. Legs & Glutes, Imax 1&2, Cardio Kicks and Ab hit. I think they'd work nicely together.

My upper body is very sore today, legs are to able to walk a little more but walking like a ole woman. So, I think a leg workout is in order. Okay, must go. I haven’t had a lunch break today, so this gal is leaving 1 hour early. Have a great day all ;o)

Did Imax3 tonight. I'm still not crazy about it as much as Imax2. Hooray I think I'll make 5 workouts this week -this will be the first time since my son's physical problems last July.

It's later here gotta get some sleep!
 
Diana-Surgery OH NO. Nothing to serious I hope. I have it on my agenda to e-mail you this weekend when I have more time to sit and write I would like to do the Bolder Boulder but I am going to play it by ear and see how I feel as it gets closer. Sheesh not that far off is it!

Good Morning Ladies,

Not feeling to energetic yet.We got home around 11 last night and while we were out I had around 4 drinks...and I could feel the effects of them.
Then my darling pup wants to get up at 5:45, then my dd gets up and says she is sick so I try and drift back to sleep but its just not working.Between the puppy whining and dd coughing.So I take the pup for a little walk and try to wear him out, which I think, may have worked:) Now, do I go back to bed or sleep this afternoon? I have to work night shifts all weekend so it could be tough.
Today is gonna be cardio for me and CTX UB. The cardio is gonna be Imax3.

Well, I am still sitting here feeling like a big, fat blob. I am not working out today, or most likely not tomorrow either. I will start over next week. Eating has not been horrid, but it has not been goood either. If only I could make this water go away!!!

Feeling a bit better now.Crawled back in bed for 90 min and now its lunch time:eek: Thats the worse. I have 6 1/2 hours before work and my workout is going to be 2 hours of it.

ICK night shifts! That would totally screw me up. Anyway I hope both laorihart and lorisax feel better soon. Mind over matter! HAHHA easy to say. So my workouts for the day will be Super sets and then 30 minutes of abs then later cardio. Thinking a run on the treadmill. TGIF!

LoriH-you amaze me with all your w/o and working nights. I guess you just get accustomed to it after awhile.
Robyn-great job getting all your workouts in.
Terri-The bolder boulder is a very fun run. Spectators line the streets almost the entire route. In the residential parts of the run, people sit out on their lawns and watch, some hand out cut up oranges and some put their sprinkler in the street so you can cool down if you need to.:) Ends up I need to have a hysterectomy so I won't be able to run for at least 6 weeks. If the weather would cooperate, I can at least run for the next 4 weeks.

Hi Gals,
Just finished my workout. I did what I said i was gonna do but I cut Imax3 short. I just didn't have the energy.Prehaps I drank to many drinks last night:) I don't drink much so it doesn't take much.
I won't get a workout in tomorrow b/c I get off at 8 in the morning and I have to write a 4 hour exam at 1:30 and be back to work by 6:30 so tomorrows rest day although it doesn't feel like it.

Diana- I have only been working nights shifts for a couple of monthes but being the new girl they stuck me with alot and I have grown to hate them.The only good thing is I always manage to get my workouts in.When I work nights I am the only person I worry about in my free time. Its not laundry,dishes,cooking...just ME!I have been really pushing myself with the weights lately so I am trying to get my workouts back to where they use to be.

Anyhoo....my workout went good.Not torn up about the cardio b/c I am watching my diet more plus yesterdays run was over an hour long.I went heavy with the weights...even heaiver the cathe.But I guess thats it when you've owned a videos for a couple of years, ya can't use the same weight forever.

Hellooooooooo....is there anyone home?

Well, its a nice saturday here. No rain,sun or snow..just clouds but I can handle that. You never know when there is gonna be snow falling here so you just thank your lucky stars.

Like I posted before, today is a rest day. I slept a little at work last night and I just got another 3 hours. We start writing our exam in 2 hours so that should be interesting. I sort of have bad belly.A little nervous I guess.
Tomorrow I will be working out for sure. i would like to do legs but I may only get time for cardio.My legs are still alittle sore from Thurs leg workout.
Happy to report that eating as been going well to:) Only one more month before pictures are posted! YIKES!

Hi ladies,
Washington was beautiful! We had a blast. This morning I ran a 5K on the beach for melenoma awareness. It was great. I ran slow, but that's nothing new. I am glad I did it, the weather was beautiful. I was going to bring my MP3 player but decided against it because I wanted to hear the waves. Anywhoo... I am thinking of doing the diet portion of Body for Life. I ate lots of junk in DC, so I am ready to get back to the clean eating. This evening I may do MM if I have enough energy, if not, I will do it tomorrow. Have a great day.

For those have done BFL, how did you get all of those protein shakes down? That's a lot of protein. I think I may scale them back a bit.

Hi Ladies,

This morning was bodymax. Now I have errands and laundry to do for the remainder of the day.

Nice to see you back Nurse Lori. Sounds lik you had a great time in DC. I have folloed the BFL eating plan before. The protein shakes aren't necessary as you can get the required protein from food. It's just so much more convenient to have the RTD's or you can whip them up yourself if you have time. Good Luck

Hello,

This mprning was 30 minutes of abs then push and pull. Later will be steadt state cardio and probably some more bicep work. Cold and dreary day here in Denver. What happened to spring?! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Hello Nurse Lori - yes DC is so nice this time of year. I've been a few times in April so nice.

I did KPC. I find I really have 4 fave cardios - KPC, Imax 2, LM, and becoming more IMax3.
I'm so happy I've done 5 workouts this week. If I get the urge I may also do PP tonight. This is the first time since last July with my son's health crisis. Nice he is lifting too.
 
Everyone sounds like they are doing well. I should be in church right now, but I am not. Thinking about myself, before God, and that is not good. I am going to workout today. I am going to do The Bathing Suit workout from Joyce, and some kind of cardio. My eating has been slightly off, but I am getting back on track.

Hi Everyone,

It is cold and rain/snow mix here in Denver. I have had 4 cups of coffee this morning and plan on doing SS lower body blast and MIC. I'll have to wait awhile for all this coffee to get through me before I start MIC, or else I'll have to stop for potty breaks and I don't want to do that!

NurseLori-where do you live that you get to run on the beach all the time? It sounds wonderful to me. That is exactly how I started running years ago, doing 5 and 10k's for fundraising (not on the beach though). I am so proud of you.

Robyn-you are doing great with your workouts. Sounds like you are feeling great doing them too!

Lorih-sounds like you are feeling better and have your eating under control. Great job!

LoriSax-sounds like you are feeling better too. I hate being sick and not feeling like working out.

Teddygirl-where are you? Sounds like p90x is really working for you.

Terri-I got your email and responded. So nice to hear from you.

Here's to the start of a new month. Guess we'll have a new post tomorrow to start of the week.

Hi everybody!

Diana, I live in the Daytona Beach area. That is how I have access to the beach. :) I live about 5 minutes away. Many races are held on the beach. I am running another 5K this Saturday. It's called "Save the Loop". It'a a beautiful piece of land with gorgeous trees and swamp land in the Tomaka State Park, that developers want.

I haven't started BFL yet. I am so leary, anything too restrictive and I go off the deep end about a week into it. So far today I have had steel cut oats with fresh strawberries, and apple, and orange, and some albacore tuna with low fat mayo on a piece of whole wheat bread. Tonight is broiled shrimp with dill and lemon, fresh green beans, corn on the cob, and boiled red potatoes.

Everybody seems to be doing great with their workouts!! I want to do MM today, or maybe HSC.

Wow Lori-I think it would be really cool to live by the beach. I am surrounded with mountains and it is really beatiful here in Colorado. Not complaining here though.

It already looks like you have clean eating down and don't need BFL. I to am a huge fruit fan. People think I am crazy at work when they hear I've eaten strawberries, an apple and an orange.

I am spent-just finished SS lowerbody blast, MIC and MM abs. Glad it's over....
