HI Gals,

Lori- The full week date wasn't on the other thread so I figured we could start another one. I think your editing time may have ran out in order to put the date on the other one.

Anyways.. I am still up for the challenge. Why don't we move it up a bit. Say post our pictures on June 1. And I am not talking about in clothing either. Its gonna have to be in workout gear. I have really started lifting heavy the last couple of weeks and I am hoping to see some changes.
I didn't post yesterday b/c as soon as I went to a friend of mine came by and that was that.
I will check back later. I have to drop my child off to school. Today is cardio and GS Back,Bic,and Shoul. Sould be a good one.Last night I did GS Legs. I think I did that one before but I don't remember it b/c last night it felt like TORTURE. Boy, was it ever tough! And I am feeling it today.
We also played cards last night and I ate weigh to much so I really nned to concentrate on clean eating today.

I want to still continue, past May 18th!!! I need you ladies!!! I have been doing well on the eating. Plus, you are my friends. I weighed myself twice, and I am 1 lb. above where I was, and I am TOTALLY happy with that. I am still 8 lbs. lighter than I was, and if I can maintain this weight, and not diet, I will be very happy. I am really enjoying my new Joyce workouts. I am excited to see what they do for my buns. I am so glad we are continuing. :) June 1 sounds good. I have to wear workout wear? Oh NO!! :) :eek: ;)

LoriH, awesome job on lifting heavy. What kind of barbell do you use? I don't have one yet. I just use dumbells.

LoriS, Great job on maintaining your weight loss. I have to check out Joyce on videofitness.

Good! Everyones happy!:) I like checking in here. Even if we are not totally faithful....in diet:eek: ...atleast we have motivation.

LoriS- What kind of new workouts did you buy?

Lori-Workout gear....yep! So we better get serious! I use an ordinary barbell. Fo rthe first set I had 40 lbs on squats and for the second and thrid set I did 50 lbs. My legs were so fried. I couldn't have ran after, even if I had the time.

I went to my MIL for a coffee today and when I came home I got into cleaning. And I am into it to far. I am cleaning under things, moving things around, throwing things out,so its not even like I can throw it all down when I get tired of cleaning. I have to finish it;( Im just not into it.I need a full week off and do one room a week.I try to tackle it all in one day.
After lunch I plan on working out. If I am not to tired.I had broken sleep last night from the puppy.

I just got in form running 2 miles. I have some good music on my MP3 player, so it keeps me motivated. I just ran 2 miles today because I am doing MM, I am trying to get motivated.

Hi Ladies,

Well yesterday I didn't workout at all. I ended up sleeping in a little too long and then I had to go shopping on my lunch hour. Oh then I weighed in at ww and was down 4.2lbs. Mostly water I'm sure since the week before I was up 2.8lbs due to TOM. Then I overate at dinner since I was starving. A net loss of 1.4lbs is still good for me. This morning I did the Gauntlet and plan on running at lunch today. Hopefully that will make up for all the extra I ate last night.

I too would like to continue our challenge. The motivation and support you all give me is greatly appreciated. So lets just keep on truckin'!

Hi Girlies,
I just woke up from my nap:) Now I feel like putting an effort into my workout. Plus my other SIL just called and are comming into town so I have to get started on my workout in order to have it all done by the time they get here.They are leaving in 30 min so that gives me about 2 hours. That should be long enough. I have decided to run instead of HC Extreme but I am still going to do the same weight workout.
I receive my "package" this week from my other part-time job that became redundent:) Although it only $2400 (before taxes) I am having a hard time deciding what I should spend it on. Pay ot on a bill, by a new coffee table (which I need), buy clothes for myself:) then I figure out a couple of things I can do and I realize...."Ah, Lori Ann thats more then 2400" This year we really are concentrating on paying off small little things and we are doing well but in the beginning it just seems like you aren't getting anywhere b/c interest rates are so high. (like the STUPID bowflex) Which I may add, we sold.We took a loss but oh well, better then noth'in.
Now I am just babbling, I'll be back, the backs of my legs are really sore from the leg workout yesterday.

Its me again.
I just wanted to report my workout. I did GS B,S,B and a 5 mile run. 2 miles being interval running. I wanted to do 6 miles but my family showed up and I had to do things with them.Then we went and picked up KFC. So much for my workout but I didn't eat much. One chicken breast and a few fries no biggie. I am getting hungry now but I really want to cut out eating in the night time.
I will check in in the morning. I am hoping to get up bright and early and do my run, plus I want to do GS Tri and Chest. This heavy lifting is crazy. My whole body as been sore at some point.As soon as my UB relaxes I get it sore again and the same for my LB. I like it:) I haven't been lifting consistently in such a long time, I am wondering what results I will see.

O.k, I am going to check in for the third time in a row! Where is everyone else? JUst me, myself and I.
Well, I went to bed last night without eating and I am starving now but I am going to go for a small run before I eat. I am going to try and get a 30-40 min run in now and later I am going to do something else plus my weight workout. Probably after I have a nap this afternoon:) I have to work tonight so I have an excuse.
I am going to run uptown after I drop my daugther off at school and get a few things I need for the house. Little things that I have let go, like some new blinds for the basement,some paint for my bathroom and new light switch for the basement. So I am hoping to have a productive day. Wish me luck....

Good Morning everyone.....Lori H, I bought some Joyce Vedral workouts. She does not have form like Cathe, but you know good form from Cathe, so you just use it. She does alot of super sets, pyramiding, just something different. Her leg workouts are mostly what I wanted. She does alot of ankle work, I like her leg workouts. I am waiting to see what they do for me.

Eating has been good. I am very busy in my business this week, I have shows for 6 days straight this week, my first one last night. But, I will check in every day, I will try anyway!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Do you guys mind if I jump on board? I haven’t worked out since my BD 9/17 of last year duh! Yesterday, I started my fitness journey, I walked 11 laps at Bedford School track. Tonight, thinking of doing one of Cathe’s step workouts and Abs.

Starting this Saturday, I’ll be starting P90x I’m going to do the 90 day challenge but of course adding Cathe workout as well. Feel sooooooooooooo good to be headed back on the right track.

Oh, since last year I gained 12 lbs. I even started back with my WW.

Yesterday was a 2 mile run and MM. I can feel some soreness in my back and quads this morning. My stomach is growling. I don't know why, I ate a ton at girl's night out last night. We played BUNCO and there was loads of junk, you know the big spread. Chocolate covered strawberries, salads, cheese dips, cream puffs. Not to mention beer and wine! Wouldn't it be nice if I could report for an entire week that my eating was good. Just one week!! :) :)

Today is Imax3.

Hi Ladies,

Welcome back Teddygirl-haven't seen you around much lately. Glad to have you join us.

Yesterday at lunch I went for a 7 mile run, my legs are really sore today. This morning I did Bodymax. Still trying to hit the legs 4-6 times per week. The running seems to be helping the wt. come off a little faster, as well as ww. Shinplints may be on my horizon so I will be cautious of that.

Sounds like everyone has a plan and that's a good thing.

I just didn't have the motivation to do Imax3 today. I stayed up too late last night. I was feeling so sluggish. You know, the afternoon slump. So I forced myself to run 2 miles. It wasn't a long workout, but it was something.

Tomorrow I think I will do HSC. I love that workout. Or maybe I will do Imax3. Have a great evening.

Hi Everyone,

Teddygirl- Welcome! I hope you get back into a routine. There is nothing worse then getting out of working out and then trying to find the motivation to get back into it.Maybe once some of the weight starts to melt off you will feel motivated.

Lori- My legs were really sore from GS legs the other day. My hamstrings really were. It was a nice feeling though.

Diana- What results are you seeing with hitting the legs so often? Toning up , slimming down or both?

I had a good day, very busy. I ran for 4 miles in the morning and I did GS chest and tric in the afternoon. I think I am going to be sore tomorrow. Tomorrow is legs and some form of cardio.

Hi Teddygirl: I'm just coming back to after pretty much a 8 month hiatius (serious medical issues). So I can relate!

I did Imax3 tonight.... actually wasn't crazy about it. I'm not sure why. I only have LM, KM, and this of the new series. LM is definetely my fave fo the group.

Nice work out Lori. I hope to get back into running at some point.

My son had a GREAT visit with the specialist today and we don't have to see him for 6 mos :) This is huge for him. Pray it keeps up. We see the other specialist in July (after a year).

Yesterday did S&H LS. Still aiming for a 4 workout week.

Hope everyone has great workouts tomorrow.
 
Im bored and tired! I think we are going to take turns napping tonight. My co-worker is having his nap first and I get to nap from 3-6...maybe even till 7!
DH has been gone all week and I am only just starting to miss him.Normally I am good when he is gone but I wish he were home now. Not that I am there or anything.

Robyn- What Lori were you talking to? There are a few of us. If you were talking to me, I don't quit understand. I have been running for 7 yrs now. I usually get 5 runs in a week.They may range from 30 min to 80 mins. I like doing interval runs...the time just flys and it really gets your endurance up.
My chest is starting to get sore from my workout today. I didn't have a protein shake after but I did go to my in-laws for dinner and they had lots of choices of protein so I went with that.
I will check in tomorrow when I get up sometime in the afternoon. Hopefully I will have a good nap and the puppy won't wake me.

Robyn, that is great news about your son! :)

As usual I stayed up too late last night. Me and dh didn't go to bed until after midnight. We stay up to watch TV, it's terrible. I could always kick myself in the morning for not going to bed at a decent hour.

I am trying to follow Hal Higdon's 15K novice schedule. Today on the agenda is 3 miles and weight training. I did MM on Tuesday, so maybe I will run and then just do upper body. We have 2 swimming lessons tonight too, so I need to do something now, so I won't put it off.

Hi Ladies,

I am just gett'in on the go. And I am not moving very fast either. I had an awful sleep. I went to bed at 8:45, I just started to fall asleep when the puppy started whining, I get up and ler him out, finally I fall asleep but only until 11. Its the puppy again. I get mad at him and put him in his kennel. He was free to roam but right now he is the kind of dog who wants someone playing with him all the time and it wasn't gonna be me.Then he started whining in his kennel so I opened the door and so that he could get out but of course, he didn't want to then. So I fell back to sleep until 12:30. So I had about 5 hours sleep (counting when I sleep last night)
I am drinking my kick start and hoping that it is gonna give me a kick you know where! I am going to do cardio, I was leaning towards Imax3 but maybe I will do one from the HC Series DVD and I am undecided about legs. The other day I did L&G and I wasn't sore after. I want to feel like I worked. Yesterday I did chest and tric and today my whole UB is sore. Whats up with that?
Anyway, Im gonna get go'in and get my workout in.Hopefully I may catch a quick nap sometime this afternoon before I go to work.

Thanks Lori, I still can’t believe, it has been 8 longgggg months, since I worked out. I am/was a avid exerciser, usually workout 6 days a week. The longest, I think……ever taken off was a few weeks, then jumped back on the wagon. But 8 months eek! Sh## happens huh! Or should I say life happens.

Robyn, we are in the right place for help and motivation. I pray that all goes well for you and your son (((hugs)))\ Imax 3 you go girl! Imax 1&2 are my favorite cardio workouts. I don’t have Cathe’s new Series yet, because I brought P90x and they have been sitting a long time, so I figure I’d do a 90 day challenge with them, starting this Saturday. However, the four I did do I simply loveeeeeeed especially the Plyometric workout There are a few of Cathe new series I just have to have like kick max and Imax 3 seems like so much fun. And God knows I love Cardio Kicks.

Well guys, I have to say this “I am so very proud of myself” last night I did Step Intervals and it was a blast. This was my first real workout in 8 months, altho I had to stop several times to caught me breath it felted good to dance with Cathe again. Anyhoo, I feel like I’m definitely returning to my ole self. And it feels GREAT!

Tonight, I was planning on doing Leg & Glutes. But, honestly I don’t think its going to happen. I’m functioning on 2 hour or less of sleep. I couldn’t go to sleep last night to save my life. I was sitting at my computer up until 2:30 tis morning playing chess master. I think it was all the vitamins I took around 10ish, that is the only reasoning I can think of, that kept me up (NEVER AGAIN). Have this ever happened to you guys, could vitamins do this? I took about 7 . I never took vitamins so late before.

But, anyway, if I make it through today. I’m thinking after work a hot bubble bath and a good movie and sleep. And just maybe I’ll be able to get up for an hour run/walk on my treadmill. Will check in later. Have a great day everyone.
