Happy Monday everyone,

Hope that everyone had a terrific weekend. Mine was very relaxing which is exactly what I was looking for.

I finished my week of alternating Pure Strength series w/ cardio last week. Even managed to add in two yoga workouts which felt wonderful. Here's what I have planned for this week.

Monday- Kari Anderson's Hot Steps. Just got finished with it :) !
Tuesday- Hopefully some weights at the hotel fitness center. I'm meeting in SF for dinner and some shopping and will be staying overnight. If not, maybe Slim Series Mix It Up or yoga when I get home.
Wednesday- Some hi/lo cardio.
Thursday- Slim Series Shape It Up.
Friday- Kickboxing cardio.
Saturday- If I need to make up a weight day, then today will be it. If not, circuits.
Sunday- Yoga.

Hope everyone is doing well and that you'll check in periodically throughout the week. Big hugs to all!

Hello eveyone!

I have not worked out since Friday. We went to the beach this weekend. Saturday was a beautiful day, and we had fun in the water. Yesterday we had heavy rain. We played putt-putt at an indoor course, had a late lunch and left around 2 or so. The heavy rain and the usual heavy traffic caused us to have a very long ride home. It was too late to work out when we got back, and this morning I decided to sleep in. If I get home early enough this evening, I'll try to do about 30 minutes of kickboxing or step. If not, I'll just pick up with Slim Series in the morning.

I hope you all are doing well. I'll check in again later in the week.

Hello summer blasters!
I have finished my 4 weeks of circuit and interval training and now have moved on to the August rotation. The circuit and intervals were a help in that the workouts were not as difficult at the end of the rotation as they were in the beginning. I didn't use the scale or measuring tape as a measure of progress, but my clothes fit fine.

Have a good week everyone and stick to your goals:)

Hi Everyone...
Mind if I join AGAIN!?:) My life is so busy these days that I am lucky if I get to the computer.Even for 5 min! My sister is home, and my SIL with her baby, plus I work everyday of the week except for Sunday.I love summer but I can't wait for it to be over so I can get back to m normal life.
My workouts have been a little off and my eating as been terrible.Atleast 1/2 of my calorie intake comes from sugar.I feel myself craving sweets around 3 times a day.I also find myself thinking that I haven't had anything sweet in along time, but it as probably only been 4 hours.
So today I am starting off fresh. No sugar and I am also following Cathes Aug rotation.I will probably do more cardio then the rotation calls for but it sounds like a great rotation, doesn't it?
Anyway, today I am very crabby.I don't know if it is b/c DH has be ropped in to something I don't want to do this weekend (he wants me to go fishing, while I want to go into the city with my sister and he can't get out of it) or the fact that I haven't had anything sweet yet today,(and I won't either)I am going to have to warn everyone that if I snap at them, its not intentional.
I will check back later....if I get timex(

Good Morning all and happy Wednesday!

Well since last week I've been living a pretty hectic life LOL. My children all went back to school yesterday, and today I will start on the August rotation with IMAX1.

We had our 1st hurricane of the season and thankfully Alex was a gentleman just brought on tons of rain, high humidity and winds ...today will be a scorcher though.

My hubby is still on leave and when he is home from work his eating habits rub off on me in the worst way...I've been eating way more than I should x( but it's all good as I've been maintaining instead of gaining. I did have a yummy breakfast which is my fav of whloe wheat bread with banana , fresh peanut butter and a touch of honey.

I do hope that by next week when it comes round that I'm back on a regular schedule as far as my eating and work outs. Oh and yesterday I discovered Ben & Jerry's ice cream that has vanilla, chocolate ice cream with brownies and chocolate chip cookie dough...NIRVANA! esp. it being TOM for me :7 ugh bad I know but oh so good! LOL I gave the rest to my oldest who also has TOM too.

Hope you all have a great week . Hope to check in again soon, I now need to workout w/ our Cathe :)

Happy Wednesday everyone,

I did manage to get about 40 minutes of weights at the hotel fitness center yesterday morning. I really like when I can go away from home (and all my fitness videos and toys) and keep to my workout plans.

Today was CIA 2202 All Out Hi/Lo with Franny. This is just such a fun hi/lo workout which isn't as impacty as Cathe in stuff like MIC. I'll try to squeeze in some yoga tonight.

Great job with the circuits and intervals rotation Judy. Did you print something up? I'd love to see a copy of it for a possible month in my future.

Lorihart- You are always welcome here! I personally think summer is a really hard time to grapple with the sugar demons. There's just so much good stuff around. I'm having a particularly hard time with ice cream this summer. I just can't get enough (so I feel where you're coming from, Vilma).

Vilma- LOVE Ben and Jerry's!!!!! The grocery store that I shop at puts Ben and Jerry's on sale (buy 1 get one free) at least one week out of the month. I'm hopeless when it comes to saying no so wind up splurging. Like you, I haven't been gaining (but I haven't been losing either).

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.

Hello all! Lori, great to hear from you again, I conpletely understand buisy summers. Mine has gotten rather hecktic lately too.
Vilma, what took you soo long to discover Ben and Jerrys? I love that stuff! But I haven't had any for a LOOONNGG time. I don't even remember the name of my favorite kind it's been so long. Wow, I've been a good girl on that note. LOL!
Anyway, I was out of town yet again, so last week I got three days of cardio in and one day of L&G. Then we headed up north. Yesterday I finally got back to running. I haven't done that in, what, a month now? Yikes!
Today I think that I will do SJP. I need more cardio like I need a whole in the head lately, but I'm having fun. At least there are some weights in this workout!:)
Well, I've finally given in to my bad eating habits and decided to start trying to eat more cleanly. I'm going to miss those chips, popcorn, candy, etc... But if I want to get my body fat down I have to do it.
I was watching Opra, and her trainer I believe that was who he was, said that every morning you have to wake up and recommit. So, I think that every morning I am going to have to wake up and think to myself, "You can do this, no junk food." It's going to be hard at first. I think that junk food is my addiction. Some people have alcohol, some people have cigarettes, I have junk food.
Well, I will let you ladies know how it's going next week. Have a great week!

Hi ladies, my workouts this week have been disrupted after I pulled my son out of daycare and went "shopping" for a new school. He was no longer thriving in the old environment, and I had some serious philosophical and parental discipline issues with the director. My boy is now starting his first day at a Montessori school. I hope this kind of learning environment will work better for him.

Anyway, since my time has been so limited, I've been doing only strength workouts. I know I should be doing cardio again, but somehow I feel lazy. I know I will regret it if I keep postponing doing cardio.

I got to sample the upper body exercises of HST (finally!) last Sunday. Those one-armed tricep dips and cross-body push-ups are a KILLER!

I hope I can check in again soon...

Pinky, my son is going to Montessori. I noticed a differnece in his way of looking at things almost right away. He now counts all of his chicken fingers that I give hime, or his mini corn dogs, or what ever finger foods that he might get for lunch of breafast. He never used to do that! He just seems more intune to learn, if that makes any sence at all. I think that you will find Montessori a great thing for your son.
