Suggestions re Where to Buy Fitness Equipment

Hello,
I am building a collection of fitness equipment from ground up. We have a Sports Authority and Dick's Sporting Goods in my area. Can you recommend other places to shop = especially on line?

I bought most of my dumbbells and weighted ball at either Wal-Mart or Target. Fitness stores wanted alot for the 8 lb. medicine ball (I can't remember exactly how much now), and I found one at Wal-Mart for only $15. Most of my videos I bought from either collagevideo.com or this website. Target also carries Firm stuff (I use their fanny lifter as my "high step", and the firm box as my regular step. Collage sells the green band for $7.95 and shipping is free! Good luck shopping!

I buy my dumbbells at Dick's. The basic hex type are $0.59 a pound. In fact, DH and I were out shlepping a pair of 20 lbers. to the checkout counter last night.

I bought my club step, high step and 6-ft. Dyna Bands at Fitness Wholesale Online. My stability ball and med ball were Christmas gifts - not sure where they came from.

My barbell was DH's, but I'm eyeing the Troy Lite at Fitness1st.com.

If new is not an issue, try Play It Again Sports. I don't know if there are any near you, but its a sports resale shop. I've been in mine a few times and they always have had a good selection of things. I normally buy my weights there. They run 40 some cents a pound. Also Target and Walmart seem to be good for commonplace items, like bands and weights. For my DVD's I get them from here or Collage video. I also recently got a barbell I love from MC Sports for only $50. Was going to see what Play It Again had, but I didn't feel like driving across town!! I wouldn't recommend buying weights online, the shipping will kill ya!! Unless you can find a really good price somewhere. Walmart will ship directly to some of its stores (none around here) for free. So you can buy online-only items and have them shipped for free!!
