suggestions for my next purchase

I have been using Cathe's videos for just under a year and I would like to purchase my next one to add to my collection. I currently rotate through IMAX 3, MIC, Body Max and Body Fusion. I am looking for just a good hard cardio workout (still trying to lose pregnancy fat after almost 2 years--sweet tooth!!). After doing some research, the ones I have in mind are Interval Max, IMAX 2, Low Max and Step Blast. Does anyone have any opinions on these or suggestions for something different that I have overlooked? Thanks for the help!

I have to say that I really dig Low Max. As Cathe says "Low impact, high intensity."

I personally don't care for the IMAX DVDs--too much jumping and leaping which I am sure my first floor tenants would not appreciate. However, I know many would highly recommend them as well.

I normally would recommend the original IMAX. It is a good bang for your buck with 3 workouts on 1 DVD. But since you already have MIC (which is on the DVD), I am assuming you are using VHS.

Therefore, I too recommend LowMax. It gives you a really great leg workout during the blasts. With Lowmax, MIC, and IMAX 3, you could rotate these harder, more intense workouts every other day and have the others on the days in between.

I love Imax 2 and LoMax...to me very different videos. IMAX 2 is a similar format to Imax 3. Strictly a high impact interval workout...I graduated from BM and BF to Lomax...it has longer step routines with low impact blasts mixed in. This is a much more dancey video and took me longer to learn, but it also keeps my interest still. At first I had to use a lower step with lomax, but now I raise my step height to keep my heart rate up. Step Blast is an even cardio workout...Your heart rate stays about the same throughout. Also a good video, but I like lomax better. Imax is also a great video, but I personally enjoy 2 and 3 better. Good luck on those last couple of pounds!:p

I'd like to suggest a Kickboxing workout since you already have mostly step. I really like KPC and KM. I'm not so crazy about Cardio Kicks.

Imax 1 - I avoid at all costs, it's wicked hard and not as fun as her newer workouts.
Imax 2 - An easier version of Imax 3. Really fun, and nice to have when you're not feeling you have it in you to do Imax 3. I choose this one often. If I am recovering from a break in my workouts, an illness or injury etc, and I am trying to build back my cardio endurance Imax 2 is nice to have in a rotation.
Low max - A fun option that is a little easier on the joints, but still challenging it's a little bit longer 68min something like that.
Step Blast - A great step workout, dancy and fun. Just your basic cardio.
Of the above considering what you already have, I would probably choose either Step Blast or Low max. I am assuming you are using VHS and you don't have a high step and probably somewhat limited weights. Is that right?
If you're talking DVD's Step Blast is coupled with Step Jump and Pump, which has mixes and both workouts are good. Then that would be the one I would pick.

I'd vote for Imax 2 b/c you would get a great, fun interval workout with good music and premixes and you get Cardio & Weights - a nice cardio/weight workout that may also help you in your weight loss efforts (WU, 6 sections consisiting of step, compound weight work, and heavier upper weight work). You also get a very nice ab workout at the end of C&W.
