Suggestions for a workout shoe

Can anyone please recommend a good workout shoe. I've read that regular tennis shoes really don't provide enough support for aerobics/cardio workouts. What should I be looking for? I know there are running, training and walking shoes, I just don't know what is best. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

I bought Ryka's core strength XT. I have found them to be my favorite Ryka's of all. They are light weight and have great cushioning and support. You can find them on Ebay or I know of Scheels sporting goods carries them. They are around 65.00. Lori

If you have a Bob's Store in your area, check there! I got my Ryka's (I also love these shoes) for about $40!

I just bought a new pair of Crosstrainers. They were Asics GEL-150 TR. I chose them because I really like my Asics running shoes, and I need a wide width shoe. I really like them. I got them at RoadRunnerSports.com. Good luck with your search.

For aerobics, you want a "studio/dance" should with good lateral support. If you are running for your cardio, get fitted for a running shoe. If you are walking, buy a walking shoe. For kickboxing or weight training a crosstraining should would make sense I think.

I just bought the same Asics Pam mentioned. I love my Asics running shoes, so I'm hoping they deliver a quality crosstrainer as well. So far, I like them. :)
