Cathlete
:D In anticipation of Cathe's possible filming in 2 months here are my suggestions!
Step kickbox ( Step, Jab & Thrust)
S&H 2 & or Pyramids 2 or how about another total body weight workout?
Imax 3
Circuit Training (Cardio Pump)
Choreographically challenged step! (Challenge Step)or how about Step Fever (with some disco tunes!)

Athletic Moves - this would be a cardio workout featuring the med ball and would consist of sports flavored moves like basketball jumps, speed skaters, ski hops, etc. It could also incorporate soem lower body moves, such as explosive lunges, explosive plies, plyo squats while you toss the med ball, etc. No upper body circuits. Finish with a med ball ab routine. (Kind of like Boot Camp, but more cardio oriented).

Upper Body Max #1 chest, shoulders, triceps - this would be 2 workouts doing HEAVY upper body work using older, stand-by moves (kickbacks, bench press) and newer moves (inverted shoulder presses, flies with legs at a 90 degree angle) 2 to 3 sets per exercise done in a controlled manner. Somewhere between Pure Strength and Slow and Heavy.

Upper Body Max #2 back, biceps, and core - this would be 2 workouts doing HEAVY upper body work using older, stand-by moves (bicep curls, bent over rows) and newer moves (preacher curls, supermans on ball) 2 to 3 sets per exercise done in a controlled manner. Somewhere between Pure Strength and Slow and Heavy.

Interval Mix Max - this would be:
12 to 15 min consisting of 3 hi/lo intervals.
12 to 15 min consisting of 3 kickboxing intervals.
12 to 15 min consisting of 3 step intervals in typical torturous Cathe fashion.

Cardio and Weights II
Instead of step and upper body circuits, this workout would be step and lower body circuits.

Step Kickbox or a workout of half floor kickbox/half step kickbox at a higher intensity level the whole time.

Hi Cathe -- I really love that Kung Fu Fighting segment in SJP, so I think it would be fun to have a Kickbox Step workout (Even if it was a ciruit like 10-10-10 or Power Circuit). (Although I do love that CK and KPJ don't have a step because sometimes, like today, it's nice to do cardio w/o a step when my little ones are up so they aren't climbing on the step while I'm trying to work and avoid them at the same time!) So I like it both ways.

I also would love a Rebounding workout and if it were all cardio -- on the same DVD with a weight workout so it could be programmed to be either all cardio or cardio and weight circuits.

More stability ball! Just can't get enough of your stability ball work (love the Pyramids, SS, and PP). Maybe a lower body stability ball workout?

I'd love at least a 30 min. stretch/yoga routine too. I often combine your stretch segments at the end of a workout (I did this once on the CTX dvd and got a really long wonderful stretch :) ), but it would be nice to have a slow complete stretch for my rest day. (Not as long as Debbie Sieber's Cool it Off, but more along the lines of her Slim & Limber -- that could be either an add-on or a complete stretch). I really love the progression of style that your stretches have taken with the Intensities and Body Blast -- more yoga influence -- love those mermaid stretches too -- ahhhhh!

I also really love that 4th hi/lo combo on SJP where it's mostly low impact with those hops that keep the HR up -- very fun, but not too taxing on the body. Actually, I really love all of the hi/lo this time around (I thought I would never say I loved hi/lo, but you've finally convinced me).

Back to the rebounding -- It would be fun to have a rebounding interval workout -- jogs and jacks and twists with high intensity kickboxing and who knows what else for the intervals.

If I think of more, I'll be back! :D

I just thought of another (well someone mentioned this on VF and it got me thinking too):

It would be fun to make use of the high step at a lower height (maybe 6-8 inches) for step cardio. The FIRM uses it this way, but lately their choreography hasn't been that interesting. Maybe this isn't your cup of tea, but it sure would be fun to see what you could add to the smaller step. Maybe a circuit workout with lots of leg presses in between the cardio? I just did the KPJ pre-mix with the Kickbox and High Step - - wow, what a Heart-rate riser!

Renee,

I think your idea isn't too far-fetched. In fact, if I remember it correctly, Cathe said she will be doing a cardio workout with the High Step when the High Step pre-order was taken. I'm sure her choreo and intensity will be great!

Oh good and I agree -- I was just thinking about it and Cathe could bring a whole new element to the lower small step and it would accommodate those with smaller workout spaces.
