The problem is it is nearly impossible to paint a picture in your mind with words about what our new set looks like. Yes, we could take a picture of it and post it on the forum, but it will not look anything like what you will see on the DVD until the lighting director has finished his job. Unless you have video or broadcast experience you’re not going to realize this. Thus, we feel showing the set now is not a good idea at this time."
Posting a picture of the new set, even without professional lighting, is a GREAT idea. Posting details of what's happening behind the scenes, despite how mundane it is to you, is exciting for us. As far as updates, we just want to be a part of this experience. It may seem like boring behind-the scenes details to you, but to us, Cathe's fans, it brings us a little closer.
Have you considered giving Cathe a blog? One with closed comments or a section of the site where she or a staff member can share some of those fun memories or pictures with us? Just some place where we can see how very real this production is. A place where you can share with us what it takes to bring us these videos. I don't think that's too much to ask. Like I said, it doesn't even have to be Cathe. We'll take anything!
I hope I'm not out of line suggesting this, but I really want Cathe and SNM to understand that we just want to know how things are going. We just want to know what it's like to get these videos out into the world. If nothing else, it could very well increase pre-sales.
