Suggesting a series of 45-minute, weighted, 3 muscle gr...

Hello,

I have bought several Cathe workout videos and I enjoy them very much,
when I have opportunity to use them. However, there is one thing that
keeps me from being able to use them regularly. The length of time
required to participate in a full workout (most go over 60 minutes).

Because I am a very busy single mom, I have found it impossible most days
to realistically dedicate more than 45 minutes a day to a workout.
Additionally, I have found that having to regularly withdraw from a
workout without having been able to participate from warm-up to cool-down
a bit frustrating, even discouraging. So, for over a year now I have
frequented your website hoping that Cathe would put out a series of
45-minute, weighted workouts that include a warm-up, a cool-down and cover
three muscle groups. It would also be great if there were a 45-minute,
total body weighted circuit type workout. Perhaps a combination of step
and weights.

Is it possible that Cathe would consider this idea?

Sincerely,

Hi Rebecca. Have you tried Push Pull/Supersets? These are two total body workouts. Push Pull is 45 minutes and Supersets is 53 minutes from warmup to cooldown. Also, the CTX series has workouts from 45-50 minutes. I think Cathe made this series specifically for people short on time like yourself. Also, her Timesaver DVD from the Body Blast series has workouts from 38-48 minutes which combine cardio and weights. You should also consider that most of Cathe's DVDs have premixes so that you could do a shorter condensed version and still feel like you're getting a full workout.

Workout suggestions

Hi, Rebecca!
I like your suggestions!
If you want Cathe to see and consider this suggestion, you'd have better luck posting it in the "DVD/video suggestions" forum (near the bottom of the list of forums on the site).

RE: Workout suggestions

I want to chime in with a reminder to use the "premixes"! I will often use those when I'm running short on time!:)

There is such a workout! Its call High Step Circuit and it is only 48 minutes. You get step cardio, upper body, lower body, core and a stretch all done as a circuit and it rocks! Its not at all beginner as it says on the package. I would call it advanced intermediate, and you can pump it up with heavier weights or a higher step. It also uses bands in addition to free weights for the strength portions. Here is the link:
