Sugar! To eat or not to eat?

I couldn't find a good, natural source of Stevia locally (only Truvia - which is very processed and has other nasties in it) - so I grew my own! It's very easy...I grow it in a pot, from seed. It needs to be in a pot for me, so that I can bring it indoors during our cold, damp British winters. It's not unattractive as a pot plant, and I know I'm getting an organic product, plus it's cheap and convenient!

After reading Carol's post, I may dry some, just in case I manage to kill off my plant!

If you are finding that you don't have much energy, you need to figure out the right balance of soluble and insoluble fiber that your body needs to make full use of the food you are eating. We are all different and we all need different ratios of the 2. I found out that I mostly need a lot of soluble fiber.

Thanks so much for pointing this out Soapmaker. Energy slumping thoughout the day and it is driving me nut!
I shall get to the bottom of this:(:(:(

My pet peeve. Try to find a ketchup without sugar. It is in all of them. When did this start to happen? I do remember when there was no sugar in ketchup. I don't really eat the stuff so no,problem but still it just shows that food manufacturers are putting sugar in everything.
The book Fat Sugar Salt is a good read and can get you to give up processed food immediately.

Yep, same with barbeque sauce which is why we started to make our own. Although, here in Canada it is usually 'liquid fructose' listed in the ingreds, which even you do not have sensitivities or suffer hormone issues due to sugar will make you feel like shite in three hours. I love Thai food, but so many restos use fructose and sugar laden sauces that I just stopped looking for places that cooked it from (mostly) scratch cause it makes me feel terrible.
