Substitution for Body Fusion

Hello Friends,
I am a new Cathe fitness video groupie. I just bought Cathe Basic Step on ebay because it said "Basic Step + Body Fusion", and it is just "Basic Step". I really don't know when I will learn not to buy shizzo on ebay:(... but anyway, does anyone know of substitutions for the "Body Fusion" portion? Or should I just go ahead and buy it? Thanks and I look forward to joining in on the discussions and bonding about how sore I am, etc...

Welcome, Lisa! What other Cathe DVD's do you have? Body Fusion is a circuit workoout: step alternated with weight work. Any other circuit type WO would be a good substitution. I think I saw on your blog that you have Low Impact Step? There is a circuit premix on that one that you could use in it's place.

It should be on the same disc

If it isn't then you were scammed and got a pirated copy. I got the odd one with my little pink Susan G Kommen step but I think its supposed to be on the same disc. Its on my dvd. First in the main menu there is Basic Step, then Body Fusion then Low Impact Step.

That is so weird. Try the disc in a different dvd player (like your computer vs the one with your tv.)

Becca, thanks for the suggestion... I am paranoid and so went ahead and bought the basic step and body fusion. I did the basic step and was very pleased with it. I can definitely grow with it. I plan on doing the Cathe recommended beginners rotation. My family is going to hate hearing the clomp of my feet on the step at 5 in the morning, but they'll get over it :). Rapidbreath, thanks for sharing my outrage at ebay, I checked and the DVD definitely has only the basic step. What rotation are you currently doing and how is it going?

I'm new too

I'm about 2/3 of the way through the beginner's rotation. (Much thanks to Cathe for making a rotation for us newbies.) Its going very well. My rotation is slightly modified. I do more cardio and I've been practicing yoga for a while so I like to do that too. Not all at once!

My rotation looks like this:
M Walk/Run about 40 minutes cross country (major hills!) Interval style- 1 min intense 1 min recovery unless it is straight uphill and then its all intense lol! Core Max 1
T Body Fusion, Stretch Max 1 (I like the others but something is wrong with my pilates band its just too short. And I need to re-inflate my stability ball.)
W Walk/Run Steady state 2.2 miles OR Kathy Smith Kick Boxing. (don't laugh.)
Th. Body Fusion, Stretch Max 1
F Walk/Run 3 miles
Sa. Alternative step workout (any of the other workouts I have with two risers)

Somedays that I would like to be a walk I just don't have the weather to allow me to go outside. We get bad air. I know its not exactly Cathe's rotation but I'm going through the workouts as she has suggested. Next week is Low Impact Step. I will do that for three weeks.

I'm eyeing the intermediate rotation but it incorporates some things I don't plan on ordering until October or November. Of course there is always Christmas.
