HI:
I think you can safely interchange PS legs for the PLB tape, I often do and the PS legs tape has done wonders for my strength.
I would however encourage you to try again with the PUB tape. What is it you don't like about it? You don't have the worry of the barbell changes since it is all dumbells anyway. I have found that the PUB broke through a plateau for me on upper body strength. I was using MIS and Power Hour and had seen no improvement for months. I felt a total pune (puny body). When PUB arrived I leaped into it and do it now 1 or 2 times per week and it has made me soooo strong, I can do the 15 pound dumbell bicep curls with Cathe! I can match her on back , and am nearly there on chest too. I am working on shoulders and tris as my weak areas. I never would have thought it was possible for me to lift this much until PUB came along. I am an ecto, hard gainer and I can't laud PUB enough!!!!
I tried the CTX upper body tape last week and it did not get me that tired overall, even though I took each muscle group to fatigue on the individual exercises. With the PUB my upper body is fried by the end of the workout because it just keeps going and as Cathe says in the biceps section "oh my, it never stops!!!!". The next day and day after that, I will still feel a residual soreness which I love. This tape works.
Leaner legs and the CTX Upper body are endurance orientated, the Pyramid tapes are strength orientated predominantly. If you do swap them in, bear this in mind, that it will change the nature of your rotation from Strength to endurance blast.
You could try several weeks of each: one blast with CTX tapes subbed in for endurance, and another few weeks with PS legs and the PUB combo for strength.
Good luck!
