Substitute DVDs for January?

As much as I would love to have every Cathe DVD I don't (yet!). I'm doing the January rotation and the following list is the DVDs I don't have. I was hoping that someone would be able to let me know some substitutions for what Cathe gives us in the Jan. rotation.

SJP
CTX cardio only
Kick Max (intensity drills and leg cond. drills)
Step Blast
Max. Intensity Cardio
Boot Camp

Thanks in advance for your help!

---Pain is weakness leaving the body---

Imax 2 Cardio & Weights
Imax 3
Low Max
Pyramids
all 4 new ones
Core Max
Muscle Max
Gym Style C&T and BSB
Low Impact Step
Basic Step
High Step Challenge

I would LOVE to add to my collection! If there are any that you can't live w/out I'd love the recommedations. I was just reading about SJP/S.Blast on Collage's site. They sound like a lot of fun. Just banked our year-end bonuses. Hmm...it just might be a little smaller when husband goes to get his allowance!

I do not have SP&J or Step blast either so I was trying to figure out what to substitite as well.
I was planning on using High step training for SP&J
and rhythmic step for step blast.
Think that would work?

What a coincidence! I just logged on quick to see if anyone had responded. I was thinking about doing High Step Challenge to substitute for SJP tonight. I think I might order that DVD though. From the write-up it sounds like a lot of fun. And you can never have enough Cathe's! In fact my husband and I were having a friendly debate about the # of workout DVDs I have and my 4-yr. old daughter Gina chimed in "But Mama NEEDS Cathe!" Score one for the girls!

For SB it looks like 55 min. of solid step, so maybe a combo of Body Max 2 and Low Impact Circuit. Those 2 are so much fun! I was disappointed there weren't more of the new ones in the rotation. Oh well, she can't include them all.

I don't have Rhythmic Step - Is it one of your favorites?

Just try to substitute a weight circuit for a weight ciruit and stead state cardio for steady state cardio. You just may come up with some wonderful mish-moshes!

Okay... I'll take a stab at this....

SJP - use C&W, LIC, or HSC

CTX cardio - any 30 or 35 minute cardio will do the job.. Use any of the time saver cardio only premixes from the new ones, use the step only premix from IMAX3, or LIS.

KM intensity drills (15 minutes) - you can use the all 10 blast premix from IMAX3 which is 24 minutes or the blast off add-on from LIC (9 1/2 minutes). You can always do this one twice.;)

KM leg conditioning drills (18 minutes) - LB only premix from MM - 23 minutes. The LCD's are standing leg work.

SB - use any cardio (55 minutes), any of the premixes from the new ones... LM step premix I believe is 44 minutes long, you can always add a combo one of the new ones or do one the combos on LM twice.

MIC - oh boy - 70 minutes of all out high intensity cardio IMO... starts out with hi/lo (26 min) I don't see any DVD's you have that have hi/lo.. you could do some of the drills from DM that don't require equipment to sub for hi/lo, then step aerobics with a blast on the end (33 min), use any steady state cardio step and add a blast at the end like the blast off add-on from LIC.

Bootcamp (60 minutes) - use the bootcamp premix off of BM2 (78
minutes)

Before I completed my Cathe collection, I use to peruse the Cathe Compendium and come up with subs....

Thanks so much for your help. I just finished HSC in lieu of SJP. Always lots of fun. Man, are those calf raises killers! I'll be sure to check out the comp. in the future...thanks for the tip!
