Stupid Question , but oh well

Does anyone find that in the morning hours and early afternoon their stomach seems flatter than in the evening? Sometimes I'll get up and my tummy seems nicely flat in the morning and afternoon but come evening I feel like I've developed a small balloon down there. Its the lower tummy. I was just wondering, since we are all just sitting around waiting for the DVD's to come.

I personally have the Flat-Morning-Pot-Afternoon Tummy Syndrome. I attribute that to having been flat out during the night sleeping (or doing other horizontal activities which shall remain nameless in this oh-so-chaste forum), but doing a lot of sitting at my desk the rest of the workday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. And eating, and drinking.

Not a stupid question. No distracting question to keep us from self destructing while waiting for the Hard Core Series is a stupid one.

Yup, and me. If I didn't eat ior drink anything during the day, my stomach would remain flat. It seems totally natural to me. Your stomach is flat in the morning because it is empty.

Me too! I prefer to be more romantic in the morning.........if you catch my drift...........b/c of that fact ;-)

I am glad to hear that this is not a stupid question and it is not only me that this happens too.

Hi!

YES!!! I know this well! lol I have always attributed that to food and beverage intake through out the day and then by the next morning your body has finally passed all of the food/bev. through your stomach so it is flatter because it is empty again. JMO.:)

Have a great work out!

Okay, this is proof. I'm weird. It's not my lower tummy that gets poofy, it's my mid to upper tummy. I get a Buddha belly rather than a beer belly during the day. One bite of anything -- literally a cracker and water -- and the belly blows up like a puffer fish. It's been like this all the way back to at least age fifteen. I don't remember before that. I just don't get it.

When you eat or drink, you're not only adding mass to you're body but you're also swallowing a lot of air, especially if you eat fast, like me. Also, you have normal bacterial flora in your intestines that help digest the food & guess what? They give off gases off the food they are breaking down. Gas takes up space too. Hence the poufy stomach. Yes, I too am normal like the rest of you.

So, on special occasions when I really want to look "flat", I try to just sip water all day long. Slowly. I know I'm starving, but as I say, only special occasions. I just don't want to risk, getting so nervous, inhaling my food, & then I poufing out in the midsection.

I didn't know that, I'll have to eat slowly at special events I go to. It does seem as though I eat very fast during the day with running around alot so I'll have to remember that.
