STS will work each body part 1 time per week, true?

I keep reading about how important it is to work each body part 2x per week so I am assuming those folks are not working each body part for 30 minutes each time and that's why STS is each body part 1x per week. Does that seem right?

Right now I try to get through 4DS 2 times per week - just the weight lifting portion. and that's about 12 minutes per body part and when I'm lifting heavy I'm just about recovered in time for the next go.

So, what's better? A combination? 3 months of STS followed by 3 months of 2x per week per body part?

I'm excited for STS but when I read that you really should work each body part 2x per week well, ..... I wonder.

I like total body workouts 3 times a week.

I like 2-day splits (upper body alternated with lower body).

I like 3-day splits (back/chest, shoulders/legs, bis/tris/abs).

I like 4-day splits (chest/back, shoulders/core, legs/core, bis/tris).

I like 5-day splits, too (Timesaver but that has cardio). I've never done a 6-day split 'cause I only workout 5 days.

Total body and 2-day splits are best for beginners, 3- and 4-day splits are more challenging; they work each muscle group VERY hard.

It's ALL GOOD, tried and true methods. :7

I wondered that too but I feel confident that Cathe knows what she's doing....she said the only committment for STS is 3 days per week.

I do total body (except for core which I combine with cardio 4x weekly) 2x weekly. I'm tall so I have to work a bit harder to get that muscular/toned look. Everyone is different.
