STS shock cardio delivery - Sept. 2009

I don't care what another poster claims. My husband has managed software projects for many years and has consistently met scheduled promised deadlines. Good engineers know how to estimate time and meet their deadlines. That's a fact of the industry.

meeeeeh! :(

I thought that the date estimate was so that when we initially pre-ordered, for me that was in March, we knew not to expect it before the end of September.

I mentally commended SNM for addressing concerns expressed in previous pre-sales from people that said they wouldn't have committed the funds if they knew it would be "X" months before they'd get the finished product.

This time, SNM came right out and said it would take no less than six months to complete and they still have unhappy/frustrated/disgruntled customers. I wouldn't have commented myself except for the reference to their business practices.

In my opinion, SNM is trying to learn from experience and change how the manage their pre-sales and the wording surrounding them. For this specific pre-sale, it would seem that they tried to give a reasonable time frame (which some requested), without overcommitting (which others requested), have provided updates and are progressing as anticipated.

I have loved STS and it was worth the wait. I have ordered STS shock cardio and understand late Sept. was just an estimate not a deadline. I preordered knowing I would get it when I got it.

But I have to agree with the writers that think the late Sept "possible" completion on the presale should be removed now that it is not possible.

I really do appreciate that they did try to estimate completion and hope they continue estimates for future projects.

This is how this forum gets a bad name...Erica should not be told to quit griping and should not be "scolded" for asking a reasonable question. Yes, SNM has the right to say don't preorder unless you are prepared to wait and they are doing a MUCH better job at answering posters inquiry's about Shock Cardio, but a paying customer should be able to come on this forum and ask questions about the product they have paid for months in advance. Thank you SNM for addressing and answering Erica's question.

I love my Cathe workouts and I don't mind the wait and I know it will be worth it but that doesn't mean everyone else has to feel the same way I do and paying customers should feel free to post questions/concerns without being scolded by people who aren't even part of the company.

I'm VERY excited for Shock Cardio by the way.....VERY, VERY excited!!!

I'm very excited about STS Shock Cardio, and I don't mind waiting, because I know it's going to be awesome, just like everything else Cathe does.

I don't like it when people get scolded on here either, but it seems like Cathe's business practices and her integrity are coming under fire, and I think that's what some people are taking offense to. I haven't been on here that long, but one thing I do know, is that is Cathe and her staff really care about all of us and want to put out the best product possible, and I for one don't mind waiting for that.

SNM wrote this on 6/28 about the Daytona trip in October:

"If things go as planned we will have finished the filming, editing and authoring of STS by then anyway and you might even have your DVDs."

This is another reason why I was asking about a delay. It seemed that, from the beginning, Chris expected to be filming before September. Back in June, when Catherine (fitfairy) asked if filming would take place in September because another customer said that Cathe told her that herself, Chris said this in addition to other things negating the September filming date:

"I would hope by now that everyone would learn to ignore negative rumors about our presales."

"If you see a film or release date posted on another site before it is posted on our site, you know that is just speculation and not based on any insider information."

Denise - I didn't question SNM's business practices in my original post. I asked about delays and why they were off on the delivery estimate for this particular project. Some of the responses mentioned how SNM is always late on their pre-orders and how that should be expected, so I addressed that in later posts.
