STS Meso Cycle 1 Question

Hi Cathe:

I am completing my last week of Meso Cycle One and have noticed that my arms and legs are "thicker" than they used to be. I have always had big arms and legs but now they seem thicker or bulkier than usual. My question is, will they become more toned and defined as I continue the STS rotation? I am eating clean (most days) and am doing STS cardio on alternating days and am thinking about adding a 30-60 minute power walk on strength training days. I rarely weigh myself because I get discouraged if the scale doesn't budge. I judge by my clothes and since I'm feeling and looking thicker, my shirts are a bit snug around the bicep area and pants in the quad area. I am down a size and am glad about that but I just want to know if I am doing something wrong or should I just continue and trust tone and definition will come in time?

Hi Chris! It sounds like your body is retaining water as a result of tissue repair which is very normal and very common. Be sure to continue to eat clean and drink extra water to help flush out the water retention. You should especially do this during your upcoming recovery week. I am sure you will see a difference by the end of your recovery week if you continue to eat clean and drink lots of water. :)
