STS DVDs & Fat Loss

Hi Everyone,
I am new to the forum. (Not new to Cathe's site or dvds) Although I have exercised for quite a few years,the last 5 yrs I haven't exercised consistently and have lost much muscle tone and gained 10 lbs. Naturally, my current goal is to lose the weight/tone esp legs. I have read the literature on the STS DVDs. QUESTION: Can someone share with me what would be the best way to use these STS DVDs for fat loss? Meaning, should they be used in order--Mesocycle #1 using the entire 12 DVDs? Then use Mesocycle #2, etc. etc.. Then use Mesocycle #3? OR should I be using her older DVDs for my goal of fat loss/muscle tone? Thanks for your help with this!
 
Since the new DVD's have not been filmed yet and all we know of them is what the tentative description says, I would definitely check out the rotations forum for some ideas on using Cathe's current videos for fat loss. I know there are several good rotations out there specifically for that goal. :)
 
I just had a great rotation with 4DS. It's the November 2007 rotation. I added in two extra days of cardio in addition to the 4DS, used the weights that suited me and saw some fat melt off as well as saw some exciting strength gains (had to buy 12#, 15# and at the end 20# dumbbells). I didn't lose any weight, but I lost about 3/4" off my thighs and another inch or so off my waist.

Now I'm doing a rotation based on Cathe's August 2004 rotation for legs, glutes and fat loss and it's chiseling away at my thighs some more and I'm getting comments again about having lost some weight (even though the scales haven't changed much, my body is).

I wouldn't wait for STS to get going on that aspect. Get moving now and then use STS later! ;-)

Thanks to both of you for your input on the fat loss rotations!! What was I thinking? Need to get my fanny moving NOW to start losing the weight!

I agree with above posters, but bear in mind that you don't have to have lost all your fat/unwanted weight before being able to start using the STS program. If it arrives before you reach a target weight, don't worry about it, just leap on in. The STS program is the program that will help you lose that weight! And when it arrives, just use it "as is", following Cathe's instructions to the letter (mesocycle 1, then 2, then 3, then start again when ready!). You'll get the best results that way and have to think less about it!
