STS chicks Thurs Feb 5

I have cardio to do tonight???? I am really tired my son (2 in march) has been getting up during the night I think his ears are infected... So I need easy cardio...
Barbara/Nan I thought my triceps died too but then I my son in his carseat and they yelled at me!

Phyllis I also go through the motions sometimes especially if I am tired I don't give it my all

Therese disc 3 legs scares me can't wait to hear what you have to say

Kathy I was planning 6 months and repeat the weeks but I keep going back and forth I am lovin these workouts sooo much I can't wait to see what is next. I might end up repeating mesocycles

Hello Ladies:

I really thought my tris were going to horribly sore today from disc 2 .. but they are not .. my lower back is sore (think I went too heavy on the dead lifts) .. I am sore in between my shoulder blades .. which is really hard to get me sore there .. so I was pleasantly surprised!

Today is my plyo/no weight high reps LB/core w/sliders class.

I am planning on doing legs (disc 3) Sat .. from the looks of it .. it does look like a KILLER ... woohoo!!!

all this talk of the abs on the floor no equiptment has me wanting to do it .. think that will be a goodie for tommorrow!! :)
 
I just finished Disc 2 and my arms are shaking! Is anyone finding that their 60% target weight to too high for some exercises? I was hitting failure before the set was over for a number of exercises. I wonder if I was just having a weak day or if I screwed up with my 1 rep max testing cuz some of the #'s were pretty high for endurance lifting:confused:!

Anyhoo...looking forward to legs on Saturday. I hope I'll be able to do them after KPC. That W/O usually gets my glutes and hammies big time;).

I'm having to lower my weights from the 1RM on some exercises. I finished #2 today. I'm loving these workouts!!! They are TOUGH!!! I'm thinking of completing Mesocycle 1 and then repeating it. Since I had Tues, Wed, and today off, I decided to get my STS workouts done. Next week I will follow the every other day rotation.

I love KPC and will do that tomorrow if my arms let me. Otherwise I might do Low Max since I can't do any impact because of my knees so Imax 2 is out.
 
Tracy, ok I did this work out this morning since I am off this week from work...LOVED IT....some new moves that get you good...did the extra at the end too. Lack of better words my legs feel tried.... I am expecting to feel them tomorrow.

I really am soooooooo happy with STS....I debating doing week 1 again next week but I am like a kid I want to see what on the disc....and do them too.... Still mulling it over.

Thanks for the replies, I think I'm going to repeat meso cycles too instead of repeating weeks. I previewed the rest of meso 1 and it looks so good I can't wait to try them all, lol!

Yeah, the no-equipment abs was great! I'm really enjoying the "controlled" movements in this entire set (including the abs). Each move seems to be deliberate and you can really put some effort into it, which I really like! :)

I did KPC today and what a relief to not have to drag out the equipment! I don't think I'll ever be able to do those pikes. My body just doesn't want to do it.:( Oh well, I guess just trying to do them works the same muscles.

I just printed out my card for tomorrows legs. I'm betting on lots of soreness on Sat! I haven't previewed this disc at all.

Phyllis - My body is just not very limber but I found that if I put a yoga block down (or you could use your step and adjust the height), I can do the pikes. I kept thinking that I was not strong enough but got the idea to try that and discovered I was stronger than I thought, just not nearly limber enough...I mean, I am like a stick figure - I don't bend ;)

It sounds like everyone is moving right along with the rotation.... nice work!

Today was 4DS-LIS and abs. I was surprised that I didn't have any soreness today from Disc 2... it was a really good workout. My legs are finally back to normal (from Sunday's Disc 3 workout).

Looking forward to starting the second week on Saturday.

Good morning everyone! My triceps are on fire! I did disc 2 last night by the end my triceps were failing. After my workout I had to clean the kitchen from dinner, well my arms were sooo sore I could barely wipe the counter, I felt like I had spaghetti noodles for arms. Note to self....clean up before workout!! LOL I am glad legs are Friday I probably won't be able to walk til Monday!!

I still have to finish doing my 1RM and I will do that over the next couple of days as well as review some of the DVDs. I will probably fool around and do a couple of discs here and there but I think I will actually start the rotation the same week as Cathe - February 16, 2009, so I can benefit from the tips, etc.

Tracy, I know the feeling and will try to remember to do the clean up before.. lol!!
