Wow (again)
This workout was no joke. I did not take extended breaks during the repeated 3 sets of tri sets. Would that be a tri set of tri sets or perhaps a mega tri set round?
Anyway, after I got done each round of tri sets I took a bit of an extended break for equipment exchange. I worked within each round without stopping except for the 60 second break between tri sets. Ok, I am sure I have lost all of you at this point with that lol!
Moving along...This workout was great. I liked the format - it was tough! I was wiped after the first round. I think that was the toughest by far. We had squats, then one leg elevated lunges and finally deadlifts. Yes, that was the toughest!
The second round was grueling, but a bit easier than the first. However, I was already fatigued from the first round. I am getting better with the paperplate work and that is nice. I plowed right through those plie squats with great form and power. I was proud of that. I liked the combo of one leg lunges w/ paper plate followed by static lunge. It was tough, but certainly just put the icing on the c ake of what were my quads and hams haha!
I welcomed the 3rd round because I was starting to twitch and tremble. I like the twitches because I know I am working hard. It was nice to do the side slide lunges in between the squats. I am still learning this move so I only did it with 5 lbs. I had done them during meso 1 with no weight. Next time, I am going for 10 lbs for these.
I did the calf raises a little differently than on the video. I tried that orginial way, but I was falling all over the place. Then I realized I set this up all wrong so I just went to the floor and completed the reps. I misread my notes, but I still got the calves exercised. I know what to do for next time!
All in all - great workout!
