STS BodyRockers - August 2012

Hi all!

This morning's workout was HiiT 30/30 + Core Max #3. I actually enjoyed the CM workout (for once, lol). I still struggle on most lower ab moves so I just did those without any additional weight. I barely survived, but I made it! ;)

Wendy: Yay, glad you had a wonderful, relaxing, fun-filled vacation! I wouldn't worry about those few extra pounds. They will be gone in no time! If you ever want to have an "Intensity Virtual Class" let me know! ;) I've been enjoying cake making so much I think my sister is going to get me a cake decorating kit for Christmas. :D Just want my body needs, another reason to eat cake, icing, and ice cream, lol! :rolleyes::p;)

Wiggie: You better not chicken out on the mud run! I'm counting on you girl! ;) I'm going to run my first 5K in October and i'm nervous! I'm not a good runner. I think later this week i'm going to hit the treadmill, jog at a slow pace, and just see how far I get! Have fun with Cathe and the crew during Intensity today!

Ok, after tons of stalling I finally picked and did a work out!

KPC/L&G Kickbox and Strength Circuit + Abs (61 mins)

YEOWZERS! I sure know how to pick the "good" ones!!!:eek: LOL :p

Time to shower and get moving. Been online looking at jobs all morning so I've gotten nothing else done so far...:rolleyes:

Hi there ladies!

Sorry for my lack of checking in! I have just been lazy, no excuses :( But today I pushed through the laziness and made myself do Gym Styles Legs - that is a good one! :eek::confused: We'll see how I feel tomorrow:) Planning on doing CTX the rest of the week.

Wendy - welcome back! I'm impressed you got in the exercise you did on the cruise! So glad you had a great time. Yay for you for getting back into exercise quickly and on your healthy eating plans!

Katie - that cake is adorable! Great workouts this weekend! Way to go! Intensity is so tough.

Wiggie - so did you do Intensity too? That is a great one! Glad your extra time was quiet!

Well, I did Intensity last evening(Mon), I forgot how hard it is!!

Kris, glad you're back, we missed you!! Good job on GS!! I love CTX!!

Katie, that cake is too cute!! I agree with Wendy, I would have preferred to see yours! :)
Good luck with the 5k, when is it? The mud run is on Oct. 13th, I'm nervous too!!

Wendy, I've done that premix before, it is a goodie!! Good luck with the job search!!

Morning!

Today's workout was TBT: Lower Body Split + Core Max #2. I hate the Core Max workouts...they are so stinking hard! :eek::rolleyes::p I don't think i'm going to the YMCA Bootcamp class today after work. I just need a little break. :)

Kris: How are those legs feeling today? A wee bit sore? ;) GS legs is a toughie but you did it! My legs always ache for days afterwards. I keep forgetting about CTX! I need to find those DVDs...

Wiggie: Yeah I always forget how hard Intensity is too! :D The 5K is on October 26th (it's called the "Black Cat Chase" so it's always held near Halloween). It includes a looooong hill so hopefully i'll survive! :eek:;) I'm going to go to the gym tomorrow morning and see how far I can run (I bet it's laughable...). :p;)

Wendy: How's the job search going? Find any good ones yet? I've got YogaWorks: Body Slim planned for Thursday. Care to join me? :)

It's after 5 and still no work out for me...:eek:

I feel like a zombie :( and I'm sore as HE!! from y'day's work out!!!:eek::eek::eek:

Originally I wanted to run and do yoga. Now I'm down to yoga only and thinking even THAT may not happen! :rolleyes:

Katie:: Thursday for Yoga Slim? Sure thing girl! :) What else do you think you will do?

Wiggie:: Nice job with Intensity...you ladies are going to "force" me to do it this week with all of this talk about it. :p

It only (ha ha) took until AFTER dinner for me to get motivated enough to do a work out. It also was not what I intended but it's something and far more then I was thinking I would end up doing so I'm happy enough...

Tuesday's workout was 30 minutes of Step 2 Success & 30 minutes of KPC. I need to do yoga today. It will probably be short since I have Bible Study tonight.

Wendy, that looks good to me, any workout is better than none!! :D

Hi ladies!

Today's workout consisted of 30 minutes on the treadmill (5 minute warm-up, 24 minute jog, 1 minute cool-down) and 30 minutes of weight training (back/triceps/shoulders).

Wendy: Nice job getting in that workout last night! I'm very impressed. Are you feeling any better today? Yay, i'm excited you are going to do Yoga Slim with me on Thursday! I'm also going to attend the bootcamp class at the YMCA and (hopefully) focus on chest, biceps, abs, and wee bit of cardio.

Wiggie: Great workout this morning! The run was okay. I ran exactly 2 miles and could have run longer (if I'd had more time). I'm just really slow, lol! I need to get running shoes. I recently bought Ryka Transpires and they are killing my feet (too much arch support). :(

55 mins of Kundalini Fat Free Yoga is done! Next up is a run at the gym when my DH gets home from work!

Wiggie:: Nice work out! Hey, a short yoga is better then no yoga!;)

Katie:: You mentioning your bootcamp class reminded me that I need to investigate the schedule for those TRX classes I bought the groupon for! That was such a great deal! I don't want it to go to waste! Yes, I am feeling a bit better today. I'm sure I'll be back to "normal" (whatever THAT is!LOL) by the weekend! Thanks for asking!:)

Well, bowling is on the agenda today for me and DS so I better get a move on!

Yesterday I did CTX - Step and Intervals and today was CTX - All Step :) Oh yeah, my legs were/are sore sore from GS Legs :eek::confused::eek:, but I made it through the workouts anyway.

Wendy - Great job on the run and yoga! Hope you had fun bowling :)

Katie - Great workout today! I love TBT Lower body! And yeah, I'm with you, Core Max is hard!

Wiggie - Great workouts for you too, how was yoga after KPC and Step 2 Success?

Good morning!!

Well, yoga didn't happen yesterday(Wed), I ended up doing Speed & Agility from The Asylum with Shaun T. My daughter got it from a friend of hers. It's mainly sports drills, hard but fun.

Wendy, nice job on your run, glad your doms is better. :)

Katie, you are doing great with your running, you are gonna rock that 5k!! ;) I haven't even started running yet!! :eek:

Kris, you made it through CTX with sore legs? That took (quoting Katie)guts & guile!! :)

This morning I did YogaWorks: Body Slim. After work i'm going to go to the 30 minute bootcamp class at the YMCA and (hopefully) focus on cardio, chest, biceps, and abs. Can't wait!

Wendy: I thought I was rocking the 2 mile run and here you go showing me up with a 3 mile run. *grumble, grumble* :D:p;) I really enjoyed this morning's yoga class, especially the instructor. Thanks for the tip about the workout!! If I do it again, though, i'm going to do a short cardio workout (20 minutes or less) before I start the yoga practice. I always have this problem when I just do yoga because, unless i'm really warm, my flexibility sucks. :eek:

Wiggie: Wow, Speed & Agility in place of yoga. That's one heck of a swap! ;):) I wish I could test drive some of the Insanity and Asylum workouts. Maybe i'll check Netflix! Hehe, I love the "guts and guile" quote. For most workouts I need a little bit of guts and a lot of "skillful deceit" to convince myself i'm going to survive Cathe's butt-kicking no problem. :D

Kris: Nice CTX workouts! I'm super impressed you did those with sore legs. GS Legs usually has me hobbling for days. :eek::rolleyes:;) I'm a big baby and hate to workout with sore legs. I need some of your strength and motivation! :)

Good Afternoon Ladies!:)

This morning I did Body Blast Timesaver #1 warm up/weights (chest/tris)/stretch only (25 mins). Then this afternoon (just finished a few mins ago!) I did 30 minutes of Kundalini Cardio + all of Yogaworks: Body Slim. Good stuff! :D

Kris:: I recently did CTX KB. I really like it too! Ever kickbox with weighted gloves on? If not, you should try it!;) I will never forget All Step b/c it was such a subject of frustration for me for such a long time. I just could NOT pick up the choreo for the life of me! I FINALLY figured it out but man it took forever!:rolleyes:

Katie:: I hear you-I enjoy some cardio before yoga myself hence the Kundalini cardio I did today!:) LOL re the run. I guess you'll just have to run a little further next time!:p

Wiggie:: So you will be making up that missed yoga work out right, missy?? ;) So I must tell you that I sold a work out of mine to a friend whom, as payment for it, is having TWO new Kundalini work outs shipped to me from Amazon!!! Sooo excited!:D:D:D

Ok, must hit the showers and get dinner going. Bowling tonight!

Well, I didn't make my bootcamp class yesterday. A wreck closed down part of the interstate so my usual 35 minute commute turned into an almost 2 hour commute. I was secretly glad I missed class. :eek: I'm starting to feel a little burnt out. I've got two weeks left on my current rotation so I think after that i'm going to take a full week off and do nothing but yoga, stretching, and maybe abs. I need a break! :)

Wendy: Nice mix yesterday! You had a little of everything in there. ;) I can't believe i'm asking this, but what's your favorite Kundalini yoga workout DVD? If i'm doing a week of nothing but yoga I've just got to get a new yoga DVD...right? :D:p

Kris: Great job on CTX Kickbox! I've only done that one once but really enjoyed it too. :) Then again I love almost all kickboxing. It's probably my favorite from of cardio. But I don't do that often because i'm so dang picky about my kickboxing workouts. :eek: For example, I love KPC but really don't care for MMA: Fusion or Kick Max. :rolleyes::D
 
Good Morning Ladies.

I am going to do another BB TS weight segment this morning. Not quite sure what else though so you'll just have to wait to find out!:p

Katie:: Hmmm...that's a tough question!:p The Kundalini dvds I have are these- The Body Electric, Bootcamp, Cardio Stretch & Strengthen, The Warrior Workout, Fat Free Lose Weight and Feel Great and Bliss Hips. I enjoy them all but The Warrior Work Out is my least favorite. Bootcamp is the hardest! Cardio Stretch and Strengthen is different b/c it has a lot of cardio on it along with the yoga which I like. Fat Free is a goody-lots of ways to mix it up and get a different work out every time! The Body Electric is the first one I bought and it's very good too! Bliss Hips is good but it's been a while since I've done it so I'm having a hard time remembering the details of it. :confused: Wiggie has Bliss Hips though so maybe she can help too! ;) Heed my warning though-this style of yoga is quite wierd if you aren't accustomed to meditation, chanting and the like. I almost tossed my first one without giving it a chance! :eek: Let me know what you decide!!!:D
 
Good morning All!!

Thursday's workout wasn't yoga,(Wendy I promise I'll do some this weekend:eek:), I ended doing a mish-mosh of the tapout xt workouts. The core workouts have you rolling around on the floor, so I'll need to get some knee & elbow pads before I do it again.

Katie, enjoy your yoga week, I probably need to do the same thing!! ;)

Wendy, you scored two new KY workouts, I'm jealous!! :p

Kris, I see you are still enjoying CTX!!

Good Afternoon Ladies. :)

I should be exhausted today due to being up for 3 hours again in the middle of the night :( but somehow I'm not really tired so I guess I shouldn't complain. Plus while I was awake I got out of bed and folded laundry and washed dishes so I didn't have to do that this morning! :p

Work out - check! It was Body Blast Timesaver Biceps/Core work. I skipped the cardio and did Slide and Glide Cardio instead.

Job hunting - check!

Food shopping - check!

Wiggie:: I already got my new KY work outs today! The girl sent it with expedited shipping! She certainly didn't have to do that. Very nice of her! Can't wait to dig in! I'll keep you posted on them!!! ;)
