STS Body Rockers week of October 16th

Wiggie:: I never thought to look for a coupon but I DID look for a better deal and couldn't find one! Go for it! It's awesome! I work out in a pretty confined space but even so, with the exception of a step work out or STS or something else that uses the tower, I don't even think I will ever be FORCED to collapse it if I don't want to! I can just leave it up b/c it's not a space hog! Actually, I can just put in the hall temporarily if I am doing a w/o that requires more space cause it's super light weight/easy to move! Couldn't be happier!:D
 
Good morning All!!

Thursday's workout was M1D9 Legs, I used the warm up from HIIT 40/20. I also did some abs afterward & this morning. Bicycle, the in out thing & crunches with your legs straight.

Wendy, I am going to order that dip station, I don't like using 2 chairs. I'm not going to order any more dvds right now & get my new equipment instead. My husband didn't volunteer like yours, but he is getting me the ugi ball for christmas, he just doesn't know it yet!!

Spinning this morning- she did her "Dark Side of the Moon" mix that finishes with 22 minutes out of the saddle, the last 2 minutes are a full out sprint to the end-pushing the heart rate to the limits! The final tune "comfortably numb" felt so appropriate. There is an older gentleman in my class- in his 80's- who HATES her Pink Floyd mix, but he is tolerant and endures anyway. He has run several Boston Marathons, and Iron Man Triathelete competitions, and I want to be him when I grow up!

Not sure what's up for tomorrow- if the new workouts are ready for download, may need to do one of them!! Aren't they coming out today?!?!

Wiggie- My hat's off to you- when I did STS, I rarely added other workouts to it- mostly due to time constraints.

Kiki- Terminator is still in it's cellophane prison- I got it around 9 years ago, and I have been promising to do Gauntlet as my post STS ya-hoo. It is on my list for tomorrow, but if the new ones are coming out today....

Katie- Hope your spouse is better- the blood, pus & infection goes right over my head- doesn't bother me (its the nature of my occupation). Hope he is on a good antibiotic

Wendy- I won't eat anyone new, just feeling the season! Enjoy your new workout toy!

Good Morning Ladies.

TGIF for sure! :D

I slept in a bit but still managed a short but sweet work out this morning! I was supposed to do the NO FEAR exercise challenge paired up with the first of the 2 I did below but something about the move wasn't "clicking" with me. I need to review it again and work on it a bit before I do it I think so I did the other half of my plan and paired it up with an oldie but a goodie instead! Short but not easy! :eek:

Bridget:: I do believe you are correct about the downloads. The DVDs are supposed to be delivered to Cathe today for packing/shipping and I think that is the point when they release the downloads for those who preordered them. There is a blog article about this I noticed. Go check it out! That's awesome about the older gentleman in your class!

Wiggie:: Using chairs was okay once I padded them up so they didn't hurt my hands as much but the dip station is sooooo much better! Also much more convenient for reverse push ups then the tower! Let me know when you get it! Yes, definitely ask DH for the UGI for Christmas! If I don't cave before then, I will be asking for a sandbag for Christmas!
 
Hi ladies!

No workout for me today b/c it's my (much needed) rest day!

Thanks for all the well-wishes re: DH. He is doing better, but is still in a lot of pain. I do have to take my hat off to all the nurses in the check-in group. One day at home with DH and I was about ready to give him away (just kidding of course)! I swear he did the complete opposite of every single thing the doctor told him to do. Are ALL "patients" that onery? or maybe I just lack any sort of bedside manner. By yesterday evening I was yelling at him to sit down, quit moving around, take his medicine and REST! MEN! :rolleyes:

Wendy: Hahaha - another great BR workout name! I'm going to have to start writing these down. You're on lady!!! Let's get this PUB abs challenge going! :) and i'm definitely not going to skip it this weekend because the thought of doing it TWICE makes my skin crawl. :p

Bridget: Great job with spinning this morning! That sounds like a crazy intense ride. Did you get Cathe's new spinning DVD? The dr did give DH an antibiotic but I can't remember what it is called (maybe starts with a T?). He did get a shot in the tush yesterday of an antibiotic the dr claimed was the consistency of maple syrup. I felt guilty but I burst out laughing at that description. :eek:

Kiki: I think taking your son to visit colleges now is a great idea! My mom teaches 6th grade and she takes her students on tours of college campuses all the time. You can never start to early! :) I have a plyo legs obsession! Ahhhhh! :p I think it's the combination of cardio and legs that I like so much - knocking them both out at once!

Wiggie: Great job with Disc 9! You keep doing all these fabulous ab routines and you're going to have abs of steel in no time. :)

I couldn't sleep - so up at 3:30 this a.m. :( Good news is though that Circuit Max was done by 5:30 a.m... :rolleyes: I did CCC yesterday a.m. - loving the post STS July 2010 rotation still - almost to the end now (just in time for the new series - woohoo:)

Barbara - Welcome to the group! So glad you're joining us :) Woohoo on the weigh in, that's awesome, love the happy dance! I do ww too - online - loosely right now, need to get back with the program!

Terina - Welcome! Really happy that you're here too! These ladies are so inspiring! I'm a former Firmee too:) I actually got remotivated into exercise after a (too long) break this past March or April with the new Firm workouts (Firm Express set) - then in May, I picked Cathe back up again:)

Katie - Great job with Plyo legs! Hope your hubby's getting around better soon! Poor guy! Enjoy your rest day! (and hubbies are the worst patients ever:)

Wendy - great BR workout! Glad you're loving the dip station:) I believe I will join you and Katie on the PUB abs this weekend :) I'm up for a challenge:)

Bridget - that spinning class sounds intense! Love the music - very descriptive I'm sure. Great job on HSC too - I did that one recently - ouch ouch! Too funny about the wooden "fanny lifter" - I had one too, not sure where it ever went - maybe my DH has it out in the garage:) I've had so many different Firm steps and other Firm stuff (some of it pretty decent quality - some not so much) - I think that's something that I love about Cathe - some workouts use alot of equipment, but it's not unique equipment that you can really only use well with a certain series of hers. Oh, and the fact too that Cathe doesn't charge you to use the website (never could understand that about the Firm).

Kiki - great job getting Disc 8 done! Your plan for your son sounds like a great idea!

Wiggie - Yep, got the core work in each day so far:) There was a little in Circuit Max today, planks, but I'll add in something more a little later:) Great job on Disc 9! I laughed sitting here about you getting the ugi for Christmas from DH though he doesn't know it - too funny!

Katie:: Most men want to lay in bed all day and act as if they are dying when in fact all they have is a sniffle! I think I would prefer a patient who wants to do TOO MUCH for himself rather then the usual man who wants to be waited on hand and foot. :rolleyes::p But all kidding aside, hope your DH is better soon!!!! Yeah, Zuzanna sure comes up with some crazy names for her work outs! I have one coming up in several days that's called "Sexy Supremacy"! :D PUB ABS...Oy. I have to think long and hard about when I am going to do this...what did I get myself in to? :confused: Me and my big mouth! :eek: LOL

Katie- Shot of....Rocephin? (maple syrup- did he whine?) T antibiotic- Tetracycline? Septra? Keflex? I work with crazy sick people all day, and have no problem with them, and their personality disorders. I have little patience for my family at home, however when they try to play the sick card with me- that is just wrong.

Kris- finished by 5:30?? You are the woman! You go!
 
EEK another PUB abs challenger - YAY KRIS!!!!!!!! Okay, who else is going to join the firm? Kiki? I know you wanna! :D Wiggie? You're going all those great abdominal routines, why not one more? :p

Okay this is my SIXTH time checking Cathe.com this morning to see if there is any news about the new series. I'm just so freakin' excited I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Hi everyone.... i just had this all typed out saying hi to everyone with comments and baby came a long and deleted ..uuuugghg! Anyway baby was up all night and worked a tuff long shift yesterday! So i am running on fumes.! But my plan is i must get my m1 d6 done! My plan is when hubby gets home he takes the boys out so i can bang it out! I barely ate yesterday because i was soo busy at work! So today i am really trying to keep it clean,,,,but maybe a sushi dinner and i will stay away from the yummy spring rolls! have a great one girls...
Fingers crossed for an update on the new series today!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool:
 
Lol. Y'all r ALL crazy! I'm checking in from my phone all morning (Friday is the day I run my son all over town :rolleyes: ), so I can't get into personals. But, I will say....

I am so IN on this Ab challenge...Lord knows I got nuthin else to do over here, while await the verdict on what damage (hopefully none :confused: ) disc 9 did to the Achilles... Idk when I'm gonna do it though, lol. Probably tomorrow night/Sunday?
 
Katie, I would love to get in on the ab challenge, but alas, I don't own PUB.

ok Brushing yesterday off! Hubbies taking kids out foodshopping so i can get my sts on! I never got to yesterday baby was just to clinggy. Do you think it would be bad to do another sts tomorrow? its not the same muscle groups. ITs just i love my spin on Mondays:cool: Ok off to get started. Have a great weekend

So excited that the new series should be in my hands soon! Woohoo:) This a.m. was Step Jam for me - and I did the PUB abs last evening! Wowee, that was tough tough, felt very accomplished afterward though:) I'll be doing some abs today too, since I committed to Wiggie to join her with them every day.:confused:

What are you all up to today? No big plans here (well besides ab work:eek:) - tomorrow I'm doing a breast cancer walk with my mom (she's a 13 year breast cancer survivor and we've done a walk every year since :)).

Hi Erin - yeah, wish I could help you with that so you could sleep - I was up again around 3:30 :( (not sure why lately - usual wake up time for me is between 4:30 and 5 - hopefully I can get back on track - getting up so early makes it so I'm exhausted way earlier than I want to go to bed...) I think it's ok to do the sts 2 days in a row - I think I had to do that at some point during my round of sts too.

As I type this, I am downloading the yoga workouts first- that would be a good way to start a Sunday morning- normally a rest day.

Although I considered doing a Terminator workout this morning, I instead did IMAX2- this is the first time doing it in its entirety that I was able to do most of it- and did not march through any of the blasts, or use the pause button once- maybe next time will consider doing IMAX-extreme...

Wendy- By PUB- I think you mean pyramid upper body- which I own, but cannot remember the ab routine, or remember if I should be afraid or not. If I have control of the TV today, I may take a crack at it.

Kris- Step Jam is a blast from the past- leg warmers? big NJ hair? (I've been guilty of both)

Erin- Hooray for hubby taking the kids so you can get er done.

Kiki- How did your achilles tolerate disc 9?

My workout so far today was Fire 55EZ & I did abs with Chalene also. Since I'm home all day I'll do some more cardio later, probably a BR workout. I worked a football game after work last night, so no workout yesterday.

Wendy, good job on BR workouts!! They look tough!!

Bridget, I got my shipping notice, woo hoo!!

Kris, I did a short ab workout with chalene, but I promise to do a longer one later.

Erin, your husband is so sweet!! I have friends who would have to resort to threats to get a break!!

Oh MAN!!!! I just typed out this nice long response and the second I went to hit "submit" the stupid laptop screwed up and I lost what I wrote. :mad: Not cool! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Anyway, here's the short version: Today I did Imax 3 with only one little cheat (had to take the puppy outside b/w intervals 3 and 4) and I did the PUB Abs Challenge. Woot woot! My pikes on the stability balls were looking a little rough at the end but I survived. :)

So glad Kiki is joining in the PUB abs challenge too! Take extra good care of the achilles. Fantastic workouts Wendy, Kris, Bridget,and Wiggie! Now Ms. Bridget, are we going to have to have a talk about these Terminator workouts. ;) Am I seeing a "Terminator Challenge" in our near future? :p Erin how is your little one feeling? Any better? Hi Barb and Terina!
