K girls off to spin this am..have plan b of cycle max on my ipod ready just in case. Ive got hubby doing pullups before work lmao! I am motivating him to move=) I hope he get into p90 x too=) I cant believe i am up to last work out of meso2 tomorow! ok off to drop kiddies and gym:cool:

Hey girls!!!

Long time, no check-in, eh? :p

Things got all crazy over here, and I'm hoping they'll be slowing down a bit now. We had company come in Thanksgiving week, so I was all over the place w/errands and such crazy cleaning which included DH renting a Rug doctor "for me" :rolleyes: and I ended up w/a sparkly clean house, freezer stocked full of food (I prepped all my Thanksgiving dishes on Monday and froze them), super bright/white carpets, and lower back pain that hasn't ended since :mad:

So I was able to finish up all of M2 w/the exeption of the last two back wo's :(. I did the last Chest/Leg wo's on Tues/Wed (subbing out stiff leg deadlifts on leg day), so I'm just gonna go ahead into a rest week (which is technically next week). If I happen to feel better by the end of the week (the pain has been here since last mon/tues), then I may give one of the missed wo's a whirl, but I don't wanna chance it. So if I don't get them in, it'll will end up being a 1.5 week 'recovery" depending on how I feel then :confused:

I'll try to check in later. But I did want to say congrats to Wiggie on getting the spin bike, DH went out on black friday and bought me one too. :D He felt so bad about my back :eek: , so he went out, got it, set it up and everything. Now it just taunts me every time I walk past it, lol. I just wanna ride it! :eek: But, unlike you, I did NOT order Cycle Max w/LIS :rolleyes: (what are the odds, that I turn down a prisoner?), I just never in a million years imagined we'd be able to afford or fit it in that room (the latter is still up for debate - it hasn't technically been assigned a home yet, lol)

Good morning...okay technically afternoon!

I completely missed checking in yesterday (oops :eek: ) but yesterday's workout was HiiT Pyramid + Stretch Max #3 and today's workout was High Step Challenge (great minds thinking alike Bridget :p ).

Things are crazy around here right now. We had our second and final meeting with "homestudy" adoption agency this morning and, once they finish writing up the homestudy we move on to the "placement" adoption agency. This process is moving fast which is very exciting...and very scary. Plus i've had some crazy cases at work lately (sexual abuse of a 10 year old child, blasting at a construction site blowing up a person's home, etc.) so i'm feeling the stress a bit.

Spinning this morning- she was on a blues kick, ugh- there is a place for the blues, but it really doesn't motivate me to spin. She did finish with Pat Benetar Promises in the Dark- which was an improvement.

Took a rest day yesterday- worked a 12 hour shift, working one again today.

Still DOMSie from High Step Challenge on Wednesday- a nice healthy ache in my muscles- feels pretty good!

Erin- how does that work doing cycle max at the gym on the iPod? Do the ear buds stay in? Do you short circuit the iPod with sweat?

Katie- sounds like you are making progress with the adoption, that is so encouraging! What are you doing for workout on Saturday may I ask? I'm looking for ideas.

Kiki- congrats on the spin bike! Your achilles will thank you for it!

Wendy- love the heat that AB produces in my backside! No P90X for me thank you!

Good Morning.

Rest day for me today. :) I expected to be sore from AB and with my crazy BR coming up tmrw I figured I should relax today. A little disappointed though cause honestly, I'm not sore at all! WTH!? Guess I need to heavy up on the weights next time! ;)

Kiki:: Did you say WHITE carpets? *GASP* You are brave!!!!:eek:

Katie:: Very cool that the adoption process is moving along nicely. So excited for you!:D

Bridget:: LOL so why no X for you if you don't mind my asking? I wanna do it again just so I can stare at Tony! ;):p
 
Hi ladies,

Just wanted to do a quick check in - I've had a very sad few days. On Tuesday my sweet 14 year old brittany that I've had since he was just a 8 week old pup got very sick suddenly and we had to put him to sleep. I'm heartbroken, obviously knowing he's getting older and it would happen eventually, but I'm still devastated. I barely slept Tuesday or Wednesday night and didn't have any desire to work out. Last night, I took Tylenol Pm and got some sleep so this afternoon I pushed myself to do AT. (at least my calf is not bothering me any more, the week + of no cardio hopefully paid off - it felt fine through AT)

I'll check in tomorrow for personals, just a quick look through looks like everyone has been busy and some great workouts.

I knocked the BR 1000 Rep work out out of the park this morning! Very happy with how I did.

On to the rest of my day now which is going to be busy. Lots planned!

Hopefully I'll be back later with personals once the craziness is over and I can rest. :p

Hello friends!

Just finished showering after IMAX3- I feel better NOW- didn't feel so good after the first interval blast- but I did it and it felt good.

Going to a light up party tonight, there will be food. Pray for me!

Wendy- just not that interested in P90X- I got another beach body workout- Turbo fire, and never got into it. It is still sitting in my workout cabinet.

Kris- we have a 14 year old Springer-Brittany mix who is a very good boy, I am so sorry. My husband loves to take him hunting, I don't even buy him heart guard 6 months at a time anymore- we will be crushed when he goes. My heart goes out to you both.

Katie- I didn't see your Gauntlet challenge until after IMAX3 was over- oops! It kicked me hard last time I attempted it, I need to be mentally prepared to do that to myself again!

Friday night I did IMax 2 what an oldie but goodie...some of Cathe's best.

Tonight I did Meso 1 Disc 10 Chest, Shoulders & Biceps. This is a good workout.

I can't wait to finish up Meso 1 this week, have an off week and start Meso 2.

This afternoon I did:

Cardio Supersets: 5-8 premix + IMax 2 Intervals 1,3,5 and 7. This was an awesome workout.

Tomorrow is STS Meso 1 Disc 11

Hello All!!

Had a busy weekend, Hubby & I decided to go out of town at the last minute. I love spur of the moment trips!!

I still managed to get my workouts in, Friday was AB premix 1-5, Fire 55 in the am & spin that afternoon & I finished up Meso 2 with disc 24 today. Since this is my rest week, I'll try to do some bodyrock. I like it but it is time consuming to watch the workouts, write them down & then do them. It's just so easy to pop in a disc. But when I get more familiar with the moves I'm sure it will get easier.

It's late so I will be back tomorrow for personals.

Good morning All!!

Katie, the first 2 times I took a spinning class I had some doms, not bad but I could feel that I worked a different set of muscles. The seat at the Y made my butt hurt, & I am happy to say the seat on my bike doesn’t. CM was fun, it felt just like I was in a live class. So happy the adoption is going well!!

Wendy, great job on the 1000 rep workout!! I am planning to try that one day this week after I get a look at it. Congrats on the BF!! You work hard & it’s paying off!! I wouldn’t mind doing S90 with you but I still have Meso 3 to do.

Kris, so sorry to hear about your pet, I don’t have any but I have friends that do, & they are just like a member of the family, so sorry for your loss.

Bridget, you are so right about exercise after weight work helping with doms. I almost always do a little cardio after my weight workouts!! Congrats on the weight loss!! I don’t weigh myself until rest week, I know from experience that I don’t lose while I’m lifting heavy, & seeing no loss discourages me, so I just wait. Good job on Imax3, I haven’t done that one in a while!!

Kiki, congrats to you too for the new spin bike!! I hope your back heals quickly so you can ride it!! I’m always so excited when I get new equipment, right now I’m always on it, it’s my add on to whatever workout I’m doing that day!! & I am kinda surprised you didn’t get CM, but I highly recommend it!!
