20 minutes of jump rope intervals + Yoga for the Warrior...DONE!

Great work out! :D

What did everyone else do?

BBL or tmrw!

Happy Monday!!

Whew, what a crazy busy weekend! My beloved UK Wildcats played twice in the NCAA tournament and (thankfully) made it to the Final Four. We now have to play our arch-rival Louisville (which is also a Kentucky team). I actually live directly between Louisville and Lexington (where UK is based). I watched way to much basketball this past weekend, lol! :p

I went and saw the Hunger Games with some buddies on Saturday night at the Movie Tavern. Awesome movie! Loved it! The Movie Tavern is a movie theater where you watch a movie and eat dinner at the same time. So yummy but very unhealthy food. Oh, and it serves beer. Lots of beer. and wine. Needless to say I did NOT workout yesterday. Instead I nursed my self-inflicted pain by drinking a gallon of Sprite and eating every carb in sight. :D

Wendy: OMG I'm so excited for my package to arrive!!! WOOHOO!!!! I've got another month of STS but then i'm definitely going to incorporate BR workouts during my cut phase. Actually, your review of Bob's yoga has me very interested! In my mind, yoga is supposed to be easy and relaxing so when I get a hard yoga workout I rebel. But, with that said, Bob's yoga workout sounds very interesting. I think if I go into the workout KNOWING it is tough I won't immediately dismiss it (if that makes sense, haha). Wow, that interval workout you did on Saturday looks tough! Yikes! ;) Have you got everything panned out with the unemployment office?

Waves to Bridget and Wiggie! I hope you gals had an awesome weekend!

Good Morning All...

Tonique: Cardio Mat (60)
Booty Barre: Upper Body (30)
SS Express: Cool It Off (stretch) (30)

DONE!:D

It was one loooong work out as you can see by the times in parentheses but I don't feel like I over did it b/c of the type of work outs they were. Good stuff. ;)

My shoulder is still a bit rickety as evidenced by it's complaints during the shoulder work of the upper body work out I did this morning so I will not do anymore weight work with it until maybe the weekend when I am supposed to go to the gym with DH. I will try out a shoulder exercise then but if it's still bothering me I'll just skip them and move on to the next body part. I think he wants to do a full body weight circuit that day. :)

Katie:: Glad that you are still excited for the pkg even after it took me soooo long to get it out to you. Sorry about that. Umeployment is supposed to call me on wed between 1 and 3. I gather they will ask about the issue I was having. I was able to file but I guess they want to know what happened there since I couldn't give any explanation during the filing process online. Just a PITA red tape thing I am sure but if I don't take the call then they COULD possibly deny my request unemployment. It was be @ssanine to do such a thing but it is what it is...*sigh*...so I gotta put life on hold until they call that afternoon. Wow I can't believe you are now actually interested in Bob's yoga work out! Talk about a 180! I guess I am a better enabler then I thought I was!:p I am planning on doing it again tmrw along with a short interval cardio from BR or myohmy. Fun times ahead! ;) Congrats on your team making it to the final four! Hope they win it all! :D Anyone who has seen The Hunger Games loved it from what I've read on the forums and FB. I never read the book or saw the movie. I have absolutely no clue what the book/movie is even about. Not one single solitary ioda of an idea. I am sooo out of the loop!

Good morning All!!

My friend’s funeral was Saturday, just want to thank you for all your thoughts & prayers. They really do help.

My workout Friday was JM Shed & Shred workout #2, Saturday was More Cardio Strength(my new one by MD), Sunday did that one again because my daughter wanted to check it out & Monday was High Step Challenge.

Wow Wendy, congrats on being back at goal!! :D I guess less stress equals weight loss for you, & great workouts!!

Katie, good job on becoming stronger!! The only down side to that is needing to buy more weights!! Good of your friend to let you”borrow” his gym!! :p Go Wildcats!!

Bridget, I’m sure that salt is the culprit!! :( You’ll get your groove back when your spin instructor gets back!!

Have a great day All!!

Hello!

Today's workout was Disc 22 (shoulders, chest, and triceps) + STS Extended Stretch (the whole thing for the second time in a row, woohoo). The push-ups and drop-set shoulders about did me in. Whew! :p Fingers crossed I have DOMS tomorrow! :D

Wendy: No package yet..maybe it will arrive today! Do you have any BR favorites you'd recommend? I know you've done so many that it's probably hard to remember them all. ;) I wonder if Bob's yoga workout is on Netflix.. i'll have to check this evening. That way I can try it before I buy it. ;) I love the Hunger Games (the book that is)! It is an easy, quick read but very captivating. Two thumbs up! I'll warn you it is slightly morbid though, so be prepared if you decide to read it!

Wiggie: I hope the funeral went well (as well as a funeral can be of course). Are you hanging in there okay? Nice workouts this past weekend. What is your opinion of JM's Shed and Shred? I'm not a huge JM fan, but i've heard good things about this workout as well as her Six Pack Abs workout. Cathe is my 100% favorite, above and beyond all other instructors, but I want to start diversifying my workouts a bit so i'm *attempting* to try other instructors (hence me buying RapidFire Results a few weeks ago).

Bridget: I got Cross Train Express!! Did you get yours?? I'm going to work a few of the cardio segments into my rotation next month.

Hello.

Late check in for me because I did my work out late. I didn't feel good this morning so I waited it out to see if it would pass before working out. Thankfully it did!

I ended up doing 4DS kickbox + heavy legs but I did the weights first premix. It uncluded abs too so I got everything in! I finished off with STS Extended Stretch. :) My legs are a bit sore from Tonique y'day so I wasn't sure how heavy legs would go but it worked it out well. Now I may not be able to walk tmrw but that's what we want right!?!? :D:p

Wiggie:: Glad our thoughts and prayers help you get through the funeral for your friend. Great job with your work outs! Shred is yet another work out I would like to revisit and just haven't fit it in yet. So many work outs, so little time....*sigh* :( Thanks re my weight. I KNEW that job was bad for my health! ;) LOL

Katie:: I hope you get your package soon! You definitely should!!!! I'll be so sad if it doesn't make it. :( I've never investigated the work outs on netflix too much. I should. Let me know if you find Bob's yoga on there! Great idea to try before you buy but then it will be too easy for you to say "oh hell no I'm not doing THIS again! What is Wendy thinking!?!?!" LOL :p I watched the trailer for The Hunger Games movie. I definitely won't read the book cause I'm just not a ready. May see the movie though..speaking of movies, I am definitely going to see TITANIC in 3D! I can't wait!!!! So excited!:D Watching the ship sink in 3D on the big screen will be worth the price of admission on it's own!

Ok, guess that's all for now..time to get a move on...still have things on my list to do b/c all I managed so far was food shopping and a work out since I wasn't feeling good this morning ....The non busy-ness of of my day today kinda reminds me of being at work!:p LOL

BBL or tmrw!

Hey gang
forgive my absence- CTX came on Friday night- haven't had a chance to do- on Fri night DD (10) & I went swimming at the Y for lap swim. I never swam with my daughter before, and it was fun- she suggested I use fins, and they really helped with buoyancy, and I was better able to do laps- I could do sets of 2 freestyle, 2 backstroke- 10x!

I discovered my HR monitor works in the water- I got a decent workout there!

The weekend was taken up by a conference I went to in Providence- had to get up wicked early to drive there.

And...joy of joys, my spin instructor has returned! My HR monitor is happy now!

Will check in with you all later- gotta run

Bridget

Morning!

Today's workout was Drill Max Cardio Premix + AC: No Equipment abs. Man, I haven't done drill max in forever! I can definitely tell my cardio capacity has decreased during this bulk phase. I'll have to pump it back up soon!

Wendy: Don't forget about your phone call today from unemployment! From 1:00 - 3:00 pm right? Not that you would forget, lol! :p My package came yesterday, woohoo! THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I haven't got a chance to play around with it yet but, don't worry, it will get LOTS of work. ;) Titanic in 3D sounds awesome!! So much fun. :)

Bridget: I haven't tried any of the CTX workouts either. Let me know if you try any! Did you have a good time at the conference? So glad you're spin instructor is back! The stars have re-aligned! :p :D

Good Afternoon.

Another busy day...9am tax appointment. By the time I got home it was like 10:30 then a snack, work out, shower, lunch, a little fart around time and then I was busy cooking dinner ahead of time for tonight since we have something to do so won't be able to eat until about 7-I don't want to have to cook but wanted real food. I made chicken enchiladas from the Skinny Taste site. They look yummy!

Today's work out was BM2 upper body only, Intensity hi impact HiiT only and the yoga/stretch work out from Beach Body called Awaken The Body. All totaled it was about an hour work out. The yoga/stretch was the longest segment clocking in at 27 mins. Felt good. Tomorrow it's back to Bob's killer yoga! :D

K, this is just a quickie..want to wash the dishes before heading out. Be back to catch up with personals tmrw most likely!

Good morning!

Today's work out was :: Zuzana Light - ZWOW #4 2-9-2012 - YouTube , a ten minute breather :p and Bob's Yoga for the Warrior.
Tough stuff! I completely underestimated the amount of push ups in the Zwow and my upper body is pretty sore from BM2 upper y'day so wow, she almost killed me and I was modifying most of the push ups and even skipped them completely in the last round of burpees!!! It took me about 27:35 to complete this work out. I definitely took my time. I HAD to!

Katie:: DM cardio has always been tough for me! Doesn't seem like it should that hard but is always more of a challenge then I am expecting! Could it be because I rarely do it? OMG, I feel like such a dummy! I was getting ready to pick up my son from school yday and hadn't heard from unemp yet so I went in and changed my contact ph# to my cell phone so that I could leave the house (at 2:45) and not miss the call. Well just as I was going to walk out the door with all of my paperwork in tow just incase they called, something made me double check the scheduled date of the call and I'll be damned, I had the wrong date!!! It's not until next week!!!:eek::mad::rolleyes: My fault completely but UGH! Oh well. Nothin' I can do. In the meantime I put a call into them anyway b/c I realized I made a mistake when I filed so I need to correct it before I claim benefits next week. Wait time was under an hour and I called at 10:35 so I should hear back from them soon! Hoping it's an easy fix! So did you mess around with the timer yet? Get yourself on BR or check out the ZWOW's on youtube so you can have a work out picked out to do when it's time! :D

Bridget:: Glad you had a good swim with your DD and yay for the return of the famous spin instructor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D Have a chance to try out any of CTX as of yet?

Hello Body Rockers!
WW yesterday- down 0.6
TRX this morning, signed up for spinning tomorrow yay! as Katie said, the stars have indeed realigned.
Very busy with work- getting ready for Easter- my parents are coming to town, must clean house, contemplating brunch on Easter Sunday...

Wendy- killer yoga is an oxymoron- shouldn't yoga not kill?
Katie- no, I haven't had time to do CTX yet- I like the flexibility of them though. Hooray for getting stronger!
Wiggie- sometimes good to get back to your normal routine after a death. Makes us appreciate our day to day living.

Take care all...

Bridget

Bridget,

Yay for the weight loss. :D The scale has gone back up a bit for me the past couple days though else has seemed to change. Hopefully it's temporary none-the-less...
Some yoga is geared towards mostly stretching and relaxing while some yoga is geared more towards strength and is much more challenging while still having the stretching and lengthening aspects to it. Bob's yoga is definitely a challenging one. Killer is probably not the proper word to describe it :p but it's not easy either! Definitely not the yoga routine that I would use as a relaxing stretching routine after a tough Cathe or spin work out! ;)
Would you like me to come clean your house for Easter? I am getting quite good at it now you know! :p
Ooh, more TRX! So jealous! :D

Hello All!!

I am in Myrtle Beach, SC this week for a emergency care symposium. We go every year, always informative, always fun

Bridget, congrats on the weight loss!! I didn't get to go to my meeting because of this trip, but I'm pretty sure I didn't lose anything.

Katie, there was a time when I didn't care for JM, but she has grown on me!!:p

Wendy, great workouts!! You are really getting into yoga!!!

I've been doing some new workouts I bought called Mama Wants her body back. Weird title, workouts are very travel friendly, all you need is a band that comes with the dvds. They only cost 12.98, so I thought why not?

Be back tomorrow, make it a good one!! :D

Hello again...FINALLY:rolleyes:...and I don't even have very long at that! It's amazing how busy one's life gets once one is no longer employed at a paying job! :p

This morning's work out (while my sauce was cooking) was the following (my original plan morphed into something a bit larger lol)...

Slide n Glide: Warm up + Cardio + leg conditioning
STS D3: firewalkers, front and side paper plate lunches using dixie cups in lieu of weights + the 5 exercises in the bonus.
BL Yoga for Weight Loss: 30 minutes (levels 1+2 but omitting ab segment)
STS Extended Stretch

Be back tmrw!

Good Afternoon.

Hit the gym with hubby this morning for something different. 15 min on the elliptical and then a full body weight circuit in push/pull fashion. I omitted shoulders to give my tweaky one rest and did abs instead. Lots of oblique twists on a machine and knee and leg lifts on the roman chair for lower abs. I think my abs will be feeling it the most tmrw!

Hope everyone is having a good day! We are off to a Birthday party for DH's niece soon so I won't be back until tmrw!

Toodles!
