STS BODY ROCKERS WEEK OF 12/12

No work out for me today. It's my rest day. I ALMOST did a short BR but stopped myself! :p

Wiggie:: Thanks for the info. I am considering a bag sold on Amazon. It's only the shell on sale for $40.00 with no filler bags b/c I have bags from my old weighted vest that I was going to use.Can't see why it wouldn't work....? When will you get the bag? Can't wait to hear your thoughts! :D

ETA::...Um okay well I guess typing that to you about the sandbag CONVINCED me to buy it cause I went right back to Amazon and ordered it after I finished the original post! LOL It won't come in til after Christmas though so I won't feel so guilty about buying something for myself a few days before Christmas!! I can pretend I waited now! ;)

Hey girls!

Phone check-in's suck! :mad: But that's what I'm reduced to lately. I'm rarely at the PC, so whenever I get ready to check in via phone, something goes wrong, or I talk myself out of it (y'all know how I like to ramble :eek: , and I just can't do that w/the phone...). Needless to say, it's taking me outta the loop.

Anyway, I finally tackled the last two wo's of M2 (back and bi) that were hanging over my head, and then started M3 this week. Yesterday was D24 and today was Intensity.

All of this talk of new fitness toys is tempting me, to say the least. But with all of the crazy fitness purchases that DH keeps making, one of us need to be in control.... Did I mention that he is TAKING OVER my gym. :rolleyes: OK, well, technically it is his gym too, but I've grown quite accustomed to having it all to myself all of these years, and I'm being a bit selfish about it, lol... On the bright side, the stuff that he's buying can be used by both of us. I suppose I'm just being picky about not choosing the stuff myself, lol...or maybe because I'm not the fitness nut of the house anymore :p .....Darn that STS!!! ;)
 
hi long time no post lol. Well a quick hello gots to take the kiddie to school in a min. Today i think is plyo legs=0 I am waiting till after christmas to make my fitness purchases. I wil be getting cash and you guys will help me decide which to buy=))))) Ok i am off :p
 
Good morning All!:)

My workout for Monday was Insanity Cardio Abs & Plyo X. Tuesday's workout was disc 28. I haven't decided about today yet.

So Wendy you caved pretty quickly!:) I don't know exactly when I'll get my sandbag, it just said 5 - 7 business days. The day I get it I will do something from BR. I'm going to the hardware store today to get some sand.

I finally figured out how to get the smiley face & sad face in my post, how do you get the others?

:D Today's work out :D

PUMPED UP KICKS-routine #1 of the 12 Days of Christmas BR included an interval circuit (16 mins) and an ab routine (3 mins)

GET IT ON HOT STUFF-routine # 6 of the 12 Days of Christmas BR -Sean's bodyweight work out-all burpees (4 mins)

BR STYLE STRENGTH & CARDIO CIRCUIT-1 round only (6 mins)

Yay it is so great to see everyone posting again! I agree with Wendy, it's been REALLY quiet around here lately!

This morning I did Plyo Legs (Disc 35) + 15 Plyo Jacks (MFP challenge) + AC: Medicine Balls Abs (just the first 10 minutes, not the partner stuff). Man my legs are sore. :eek:

Wendy: I must admit, i'm kinda glad you are back to BR workouts because i've missed the awesome workout names!!! "Get It On Hot Stuff" might just become my new fitness motto. :p Keep rocking it out!

Erin: Woohoo for plyo legs! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. :p ;)

Kiki: Hahaha! Our best laid plans come back to bit us in the butt. You finally get DH into STS and then he takes over the gym. :p I'm sure the yummy muscles he is building/sculpting is worth it though. ;) :D

Wiggie: Nice workouts! What did you decide on for today?

Terina: LIC is one of my favs from the new series. Great job!

Katie: Your legs are gonna fall off :eek: ! Crazy woman. I'm coming up on my first Leg wo of M3 soon, and I'm so torn about whether to do SRL like I planned or PL, lol. PL would be harder on my Achilles, but SRL may not be so good for the back? Ah, so many injuries, so little time :rolleyes:

Wendy: Nice wo! Love how you even mish mosh the BR wo's to suit you. ;)

Terina: Nice job getting in those cardios. Whatcha got in store for today?
 
Forgive my absence- in addition to Christmas, crappy stuff with my work hours being imposed upon me less than a week before Christmas, our beloved dog, Spike was put down on Sunday. We weren't surprised, he was a brittany-springer mix, 13 1/2 years old and a very good boy. He was born a week before we were married. I was wrapping presents and found the giant rawhide bone I had purchased- that my chihuahua mix will have to attempt alone.

Losing weight slowly, still spinning- difficult to pop in a video with all the Christmas stuff in the living room- thank goodness for the Y.

Good Morning Ladies.:)

This morning's work out was a BR called The Girl with the Dragon Abs -routine #2 of the 12 Days of Christmas BR work outs! It's comprised of a 4 minute weighted interval circuit, a 4 minute body weight interval circuit and a 3 minute interval ab routine. I did the weighted and body weight circuits 2x thru each-back to back + the ab routine once and then added on a 3 minute glute squeeze routine that I "stole" from another BR work out. Awesome work out. 22 minutes of KICK AZZ for sure! :D

Bridget:: HUGS to you. Sorry about your doggy. So sad wether it's expected it or not. :(

Kiki:: So was it in fact D26 that you did y'day? :p Too funny about your DH "running away" with your home gym! My DH started drinking weight gainer shakes a couple weeks ago and just joined a gym. I'm so excited! I hope he sticks with it! :D

Katie:: So come one! I'm still waiting for you to do that no timer required BR style work out, missy! ;)

Wiggie:: Yes, I am known to cave fast! No self control here when it comes to new fitness toys!:eek: Let us know when you get your sandbag! I'm so excited to get mine! I hope it works out ok for me with the weights from my vest! :D

It's almost Christmas...woohoo! :)

After much debate :)rolleyes:) I decided to break out Cardio & Weights this morning. I haven't done this workout "as is" in probably 6 months and i'd forgotten how much I enjoy the workout. Last time I did it, I still wasn't able to match Cathe in weight amount and reps but I did this morning! :eek: I know C&W is considered an "easier" Cathe workout but i'm dang proud. :)

Wendy: Awesome combo this morning! I'm working the circuit into my January rotation. PROMISE! :)

Bridget: Awww so sorry to hear about your dog. :( That's sad. Nice job keeping up with your spinning despite all the holiday hussle and bustle. I hear ya about Christmas decorations impeding your workouts. I almost fell into my Christmas tree this morning. :D :eek: :rolleyes:

Kiki: So how did the hunting trip go? Are the boys back yet? Any deer for your eating/viewing pleasure? :D :p Plyo Legs v. SR Legs...hmmmm....well, your achilles injury seemed the more serious of the two (not that your back injury wasn't serious...oh you know what I mean), but it has also had longer time to heal. Which do you think is more prone to re-injury? Your back is also getting quite a bit of strain/work from the upper body workouts, so you may not want to push it on leg day. What about Plyo Legs with modifications (if needed) for some of the higher impact moves. Like, instead of doing the 1/2 turns jumping do them with a disc like Cathe does in Cardio SS (if that makes sense). Okay, I really have no clue...it is obvious? :D
 
Katie:: Wow, I haven't done C&W in ages!!!!! I am going to be paying close attn to your rotation come January! I want to see that BR style work out or a real BR in there atleast twice missy! ;):D
 
Wendy: ROFL! I'm so glad you're here to keep me in line. ;) :p I'm at work with nothing to do (soooo booooring) so I went ahead and mapped out my January rotation. As of now, i've got the BR-style workout scheduled for Thursday, January 6th. Woohoo! I plan on following it up with a GSL premix, so I modified the BR workout by (1) removing one set of squats, (2) replacing the deleted squats with 30 butt-kicks, and (3) increasing the number of reps for the remaining set of squats to 10 (the original workout had 7). I think i'm also going to add a two sets of oblique crunches.... now i'm REALLY excited! :eek: :eek: :eek:
 
Erin- Excellent- go for the BSN! I'm a big believer in it- there are so many avenues it can take you if not now, then later on when you are ready- good for you!

Wendy- I here you on the echoes on the website-just the holiday season keeping us all busy. I looked at S90- not my cup of tea, but glad it is working for you. Like "the girl with the dragon abs" I'm sure you've got 'em too!

Kiki- are you up to M3 already? Seems like you just started... Are you doing the plyos or the rack stuff with your achilles? (I'm thinking NOT the plyos)

Katie- I love C&W- don't like hearing that it is an "easier" workout, still works me out. I don't think there is a video out there- aside from her beginner-int's that I can match Cathe weight for weight.

Wiggie- a pink sandbag? What do you do with that?

Terena- good to hear from you as well!

Wednesday Muscle MaX-the last time I did this one was Jan 23 of this year,it was great to see improvements made.
Today- I woke up early to do Athletic Step but my legs were to fatigued from yesterday,plus I think also it had only been about 12 hrs since yesterday workout and I only had about 4 1/2 hrs of sleep.=0 I went from a 6" step to 4" step to just the floor and just was way to sore,I should of taken today off:eek:

Bridget-I'm so sorry to hear about you're dog:(,I know how they can become part of the family

Katie-I have Cardio & Weights and I don't think I've ever done it,its never in her rotations.:eek:

Wendy-go girl on those tuff BR workouts!!!

So both boys are home...... going to the gym to hope to make it into a good spin class but have my cycle max loaded on my ipod if needed! I plan to take the full 2hrs today at the gym, work out shower dress....helps break up this day! my little guy is driving me nuts about opening gifts so i need this distration break at the gym:eek:

Spin Spin Spin this morning-full house- not a bike was vacant at 5:15 this morning. She played a Christmas mix of music, most of it I didn't recognize, some Manheim Steamroller stuff- if Jack Black or Meatloaf did a Christmas song though, I'm sure it was in the mix.

Signed up for tomorrow morning's class at 9 (that's like sleeping in to me!) and Monday morning's at 5:15- it is my day off, I can always nap during the day if needed. Must get those workouts in!

Christmas is coming, Christmas is coming!

Hi everyone, so sorry I've been away, I think everyday that I need to check in and the day gets away from me.

Bridget - I'm so so sorry about your dog:( I cry everyday for missing my guy - I'm just a memory or a word away from tears it seems. ((( Hugs))) I hope the good memories you have help you - I can smile when I think of some of ours now. Great job getting your workouts in - they do seem to help.

Wendy - so glad you're back with BR - saw the one workout (non BR) you'd posted that was something about Ball(s?) and thought it was a BR...:eek: Love hearing what you get done in 30 to 45 minutes!

Terina - Great workouts! I did MM this week too, really enjoyed it - went fast, but I was sore too:)

Erin - great plan to have your download on your Ipod in case!

Katie - great job planning your January - I am going to try your December rotation you'd posted still, didn't feel that I was up for the challenge this month:)

Kiki - I laughed too about your DH taking over your exercise area - I don't think I'll have that problem ever - my DH does joke though about joining me... don't see it happening though :eek::confused:

Wiggie - Great workouts for you too! Way to go!

This week I've done CSS with the Step part,Hiit 40/20, Low max, Muscle Max, a KPC PM, Hiit Pyramid, Afterburn and today is a rest day:) I've also been walking my dog quite a bit. This weekend I have Intensity and Body Max 2 on the agenda:)
