STS Body Rockers - September 2012 :)

Hi there ladies,

Today Wendy and I must have been on the same wavelength - I did Terminator: The Gauntlet - tough stuff, but time really went fast, love that! I didn't mix it up, it was tough as is  .

Hi Wendy - great job with the Itread and Viper! And, no, never got the phone call - it was a technical support call for my work computer, and they couldn't figure out how to fix my trouble, so he said he'd call me right back... yeah, sure, 24+ hours later still no call... I gave up on him. You have been working so hard - you deserve a nice rest week!

Hi Katie - woohoo on Afterburn! You also totally deserve a nice rest week, enjoy it! I'm thinking about some LIS workouts again - once I'm through my rotation of "workouts I may have never done"...

Hi Wiggie - hope your rest day was awesome! Your CF workout earlier this week is getting me inspired to try one of those again sometime soon - love those ones!

Hope you all have a great evening,

Kris

Resting...... :D:p;)

Wendy: I would love some company! It's going to be difficult only doing yoga/stretching. I'll probably start each day with 10 minutes of cardio only because I enjoy yoga much more when i'm reeaaallly warmed up and can actually stretch.:p;) I just checked my Netflix account and i've got Yoga Journal: Baron Baptiste coming in the mail tomorrow. So excited!

Wiggie: I LOL@ your rotation description: "the workouts I may have never done." :p Too funny! Gauntlet is very tough, WTG!!! I'm starting to feel like a slacker.:D After all these hard workouts you should join Wendy and I next week for a little recovery time. We could change our name to "STS Body Relaxers". :p;)

Hello Ladies.

TGIF! Better late then never! :D

Today's work out ended up being -

TurboBarre - warm up and ballet barre leg conditioning segments (40m)
YogaMax - Premix #2 (34m)

I was supposed to do Ab Circuits but had to nix it coz I ran out of time. Don't worry though coz the YM premix I did has ab work in it so I am guilt free! ;):p

That's all for now...BBL or ITAM with personals and such. Ciao for now!

Happy Friday ladies,

Today was Wiggie inspired Crossfire Triple Tabata premix  28 minutes, 28 very sweaty minutes!

Hi Katie - I think that was my rotation title you liked :) It's sad, but true, I had many Cathe workouts that I couldn't even remember if I ever did...:rolleyes: Knocking that list down now though.

Hi Wendy - way to go on the Turbo Barre and YM workouts, lots of abs there!

Hi Wiggie - What are you up too?

Hi Bridget - where are you? Probably busy running :)

Hope you all have a great Friday evening! Kind of rainy here, much cooler than it's been too, nice.

Kris

Good Morning and Happy (rainy :() Saturday Ladies! :)

I will be heading to the gym in a bit with DH for a run and probably abs.

Not sure what's up for tmrw. Might be a rest day but might not! :p

Monday-Friday is yoga/stretching only! YIKES! I love yoga but I think this STILL may be tough for me! Anyone else care to join Katie and me in this recovery week?

Kris:: I've done that Tabata premix from CF! Love it! Short and intense! Great job getting it done! I know I've atleast TRIED all of my Cathe work outs but I DO admit to having a few from other instructors that I bought and never did! I know I have a kettlebell work out that I've had for years now that I'm not even sure I ever even took the plastic off of!

Katie:: I don't have Baron's Yoga Journal dvd. You'll have to let me know how you like it. I like Baron.

BBL!

Happy Saturday ladies!

I finished up my Terminator party today with Imax Xtreme - whew, that was a tough one. Tomorrow I plan on a rest day though, glad for that :)

Hi Wendy - sorry you've got a rainy day :( How was your run? I would join you and Katie in a recovery week, but the next week I'm going to have a couple of forced rest days I'm afraid due to some work travel (I'm flying to Minneapolis next Sunday early a.m. and working that day and the next and then flying home Monday night... I am guessing Tuesday will be a jetlag day, so probably will end up 3 days of rest anyway )

Hi Katie and Wiggie - what are you ladies up to?

Off to Phoenix here in a bit, have a great day everyone,

Kris

Good Morning. :)

Got another 3.25 mile run done y'day with ITread plus upper and lower ab work.

I have decided that today will not be a rest day but I'm sure that doesn't surprise you all. :p IDK what I am doing exactly yet but whatever it is, it will have upper body work in it.

This morning is DS' first day of Sunday School (ever)! He was supposed to start last year but bad mom forgot to enroll him. I started in 2nd grade too though and they actually bumped me up and I was able to make Communion on time so I'm hoping they will do the same for DS.

Kris:: NIce job on the Terminator work outs! I may have to do the other 2 after my recovery week as well! Perhaps I'll do one of them today! {insert evil grin here!} ;) Have a safe trip!

Well that's all for now but I should BBL!

Good morning All!!

I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted

Thursday's workout was Strength(weight w/o from asylum) & Relief( kinda stretch/yoga w/o from asylum). Friday's was Fire 55 & Yoga Relax pm#1. Saturday's was Cardio & Weghts, I love the chest/ab & the ab sections at the end of this workout, haven't done this one in a while. I was inspired by one of you who did this recently. I also rode my bike for 20 minutes. Sunday's was Imax 3 then later that evening I did 30 minutes of Step 2 Success.

Wendy, I admire that you are not afraid to try new recipes, how did it turn out? How did DS enjoy Sunday school?

Kris, I love that premix WTG!! Imax 3 is tough, I can only imagine what Imax Extreme is like!! :p

Katie, enjoy your week of yoga, you've earned it!! :D

Have a great Monday!! :)

Good Morning Ladies.

Dinner was delicious last night! I used couscous instead of rice in the one recipe and it came out perfect! The corn was soooo yummy and the chicken was very tastey. It had a nice little kick to it as well!

So today starts my yoga/stretching only week with Katie. As much as I love yoga now, it will still be a bit of a mental challenge not to do anything else. Wish me luck! :p

The job search continues...I applied for a part time job with Kohls over the weekend but something in my application didn't match what they were looking for so my app got "the boot" immediately. How embarrassing! This morning I applied for another office job....and no responses yet to the other 15+ jobs I've applied for! :(:(

I'm going up to my SIL's house this afternoon once my DH gets home. She's the personal trainer. She also teaches some classes as well. I am going to observe her at work for a few hours to see how I feel about possibly trying to go that route again...

Wiggie:: I love trying new recipes! It's what keeps me motivated to cook! :D Nice work outs you've been doing and you even snuck some yoga in there! ;) Great job!!! DS enjoyed Sunday School. I hope he continues to!!!

BBL!

Morning.

I hate Mondays. Just sayin'.:p I spent a lot of time outdoors this weekend and loved every second of it except now my allergies are killing me. Ugh. It's going to be a long day!

I started my week long recovery week (hi Wendy) on Saturday. Saturday in particular was soooo busy I only got in a short 23 minute yoga workout (and not until 8:30 pm!). Yesterday, however, I did Ellen Barrett's Yogini workout and really enjoyed it! It's not difficult enough for me to do all the time but it was perfect for a recovery week. I also went on a 3 mile hike with my father-in-law's boy scout troop. Fun!

This morning I warmed-up with Crossfire (just the warm up and low impact tabata) and then did Rodney Yee's Yoga Conditioning for Athletes. I really enjoy this particular yoga workout because it focuses on stretching and getting in tune with your body as opposed to getting your heart rate up and truly working your muscles (like Bob's YFTW). Not that there's anything wrong with the latter category of yoga workouts, it's just nice to not do that kind every once in awhile. :)

Wendy: Your supper from last night sounds delicious! I've made the Fiesta Lime Rice before and it's very yummy. Have you ever made the skinnytaste cilantro lime tilapia tacos? Sooooo good! I hear ya on struggling to only do yoga. I've compromised with myself by allowing a 10 minute cardio warmup before each yoga session. :D I've got my fingers and toes crossed that you find a suitable job soon. I know the job search is extremely frustrating, especially in this economy (been there!).

Wiggie: Excellent workouts, especially Sunday's killer mix! I love the ab segment from C&W too. Whenever i'm looking to add on abs to a workout that's my "go to ab" section. So far i'm enjoying my recovery week (a lot, lol). My body was definitely in need of one! I'm actually enjoying yoga so much i'm considering add in one day of yoga per week.

Kris: Oops, sorry about my goof a few days ago. I'm such a moron sometimes.:rolleyes::p LOL@ your "terminator party". Maybe more like a terminator torture session. :p;) Savel travels to Phoenix and have a wonderful time!!!

Hello!:)

Kundalini Yoga Flow Bootcamp's Body Prayer 42 minute premix is done and it's all I did. I swear! :p

Katie, I hear you re: concentrating on stretching more then strengthening at times when doing yoga. I use Cathe's Yoga Relax and XFlowsion Calm Down Dog for that.

Hi ladies,

Yesterday was a rest day as planned, today I did Slow and Heavy - Chest and Back (includes some Planks too). My chest muscles are still trembling , I underestimated that one! I really enjoyed it, about an hour long, but time went fast. I will be working out this week, trying to work hard, through Saturday and then will be off a few days due to my work travel.

Hi Katie - I have that Ellen Barrett Yogini workout too, sounds like what you needed! The hike sounds fun! Enjoy the rest of your rest week! You deserve it for sure!

Hi Wendy - Woohoo for sticking to yoga only today, I know that's a struggle for you and Katie to "rest" (not so much for me... don't have to twist my arm lol) Good job wishes headed your way too. :)

Hi Wiggie - Great workouts lady! You've really been working hard - I have only done Imax 3 one time...

Hope you all have a great evening!

Kris

Good morning!!

Monday's workout was Pump Extreme(55 min). I actually reach failure with a low weight, it's a high rep workout. My favorite move is the clean & press.

Katie, that hike sounds like fun, another way to mix it up!! I love the warm ups in TTM & CF, they're a little different than her usual w/u.

Kris, you are going to need that rest during your travels, you've been hitting it really hard lately, safe travels!!

Wendy, I have several yoga dvds in my cart at Amazon, trying to decide which ones to get! :p

Make it a great one!! :)

Hi ladies!

Today's workout was a little mix. I started with Crossfire again to warm up, then I did one segment of Namaste Yoga (Firebird - no cooldown), then AC: Yoga-Based Abs, and finally a second segment from Namaste Yoga (Gate Opening - no warmup). I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Namaste Yoga segments by Kate Potter. It used to be a show on Fittv (may it rest in peace). The DVDs are really expensive otherwise i'd have more. :) Namaste Yoga was my first yoga DVD and will probably always be my favorite.

Wendy: Impressed that you only did yoga yesterday. :p;) Keep it at! I love Vinyasa yoga. I sometimes get bored just holding pose after pose. Give me a flowing sequence any day! :D But tomorrow, it's power yoga time (uh oh, lol).

Kris: How are your chest and back muscles feeling this morning? A little sore maybe? :D:p;) I'm already thinking about my next rotation and you've inspired me to include Slow and Heavy. I want DOMS too! :p What else have you got planned for the week?

Wiggie: Nice job with Pump Extreme. I love clean and presses too. There's just something about the exercise that I find fun (wow, i'm such a fitness geek, lol).:p:eek: Yeah I agree the CF warm-up is different. I like it because it's fun and the perfect slow increase of intensity to the point where i'm warm but not yet sweating or breathing hard. Perfection!

Hello Ladies. :)

This morning I did Yoga X and it kicked my azz!

Katie:: Ofcourse I had to look up Kate Potter and Namaste Yoga. I'm sure it's a great practice but I quickly realized it wasn't for me and do you know why? It may seem silly but that quiet breathy whisper talk drives me INSANE! Not sure why, but it does!!!:eek::eek: Not to the mention the fact that I am a trifle deaf so even at a loud volume on the tv I'd probably still have a hard time hearing the instructor! :p Great job though! We are both sticking to our guns..so far anyway!:p Oh and btw, I'm not sure if I've made those tilapia tacos or not. I know I've made fish tacos from an internet recipe but I'll be darned if I can remember which recipe off of what site!:rolleyes: Thanks for the rec though. I will look them up for future use!:)

Wiggie:: I hear you on the Anna and Ravi DVDs! LOL I had to stop looking coz I was driving myself insane! :p I got another Cathlete to take the Kundalini plunge, btw. She ordered Fat Free. We are supposed to do it "togther" on Friday if you'd like to join us!:)

Kris:: Rest is good for us. Don't beat yourself up for enjoying it! Katie enjoys it too! Haven't you noticed on her rest days how she gets all excited about being able to sleep in? :D I need to learn how to get excited over rest days...maybe some day! *sigh*

Katie, I used to love Namaste Yoga on Fittv, I recorded some back then on vhs. I don't know what happened to them. I just ordered the complete season 1. Thanks, I didn't know they were available. I can't wait to get them!! :D It was pricey, but it has 13 shows on it so I guess that's not too bad.

Wendy, I would join you on Friday but I have a game that night. I'll do mine Saturday. :)

Hi there ladies,

Today I "did" Step Moves... lol, not pretty, mostly I would say it was previewing the workout and doing my own variation of steps along with some Jumping jacks, jump rope, etc when she completely lost me :eek: Oh well, had to give it a try anyway, it looked like it would be fun once you got it.

Katie - yeah, my chest and back are a little tender today - that one stung. Great mish mosh of yoga for you, great job! The rest of my week includes the other S&H workouts and then cardio that I haven't decided exactly on yet - I just have a few others that I'm not sure if I've done before - original Body Max, Advanced High Step Training and Step Fit... not sure when they'll all get done, but they're on the agenda over the next few weeks anyway. I also have done at least 1 of the Hardcore Extreme series of 3 but don't know which one, so will probably do those sometime soon :eek: :) Then I'll be all deshamed about my untried Cathe workouts.

Wendy - Yoga X sounds like a good one! Awesome job!

Wiggie - Pump Extreme sounds like a great workout too! Awesome, way to go!

Have a great evening ladies,

Kris

Kris:: Step Moves took me a while to pick up on as well but you are correct - it sure is fun once you get it! Good job giving it a try! The question is...will you try a second time?? ;) Yoga X is good...and LOOONG! 90 minutes to be exact!

Good morning!!

Tuesday's workout was CTX Step & Intervals (cardio only) one and a half times & a 20 minute add on called Mama Wants her Body Back #1. I really enjoy Step & Intervals, actually I really enjoy CTX !!

Kris, I have Body Max & like it a lot. I don't have BM2. I have a high step dvd that I like but I get the name of those mixed up so I can't tell you which one.

Have a great day!! :)
