STS Body Rockers (formerly STS New Years Challengers :) - Week of June 26th

Wendy: I ordered Gymboss!:D:eek: So excited to get it... Pink, of course! A Jersey girl, born and bred? Is it just you and me on the check-in today.... ??? and you're leaving soon for vaca wkend. WAH!!! proof-positive my life is boring!

The RT starts today...I am excited to see pics! Today I did CCC. Before I did it...I thought, "maybe I'll run a few mi. on the TM after" ummm...NOT!:( totally pooped. And besides that I gotta run to Costco and Trader Joe's...we're having friends for dinner. So, busy day today. I am glad that my weight-less week is almost over. I feel like my butt is spreading  I really need to do some squats and stuff.

Hi there ladies - just checking in late today. I planned to have a rest day, but figured I would do a stretch or something - did nothing... :( I'm off now til Wednesday, and we're not going anywhere, so I'll kick it back in tomorrow:)

Wendy - yeah, the levitation holds from Coremax are in that AC yoga workout- lol - I hated them in Coremax  It's getting better:) Hope you have a great vacation:) I know what you mean about "school nights", I go to bed by about 9 o'clock almost every night - and am up without alarm clock around 4:30 -5:00. Your workout sounds awesome - love just the name! :)

Tracy - Cool on that Gymboss purchase:) And pink, of course:) Great job on CCC! hope your dinner with friends was nice - I'll be around this weekend too:)

Praying for Kiki's ankle feeling better too:(

Have a great evening! Kris

Good Morning Body Rockers!

I am officially half-way through Meso-1, and I am glad that I saved the leg disc for Saturdays- those are tough! This morning, she asked if I wanted to do the bonus part, I'm like, no way! I cannot do the ball on the wall lift the weights move at all without falling on my dupa- my legs were trembling so, perhaps the sheer weight of my body is enough! I did do the stretch afterward, then just crawled my sorry legs into the shower when I was finished.

Autumn & Kiki are at the road trip- those sound like so much fun, not sure if I could keep up with the "superfit" crowd at a road trip, but you cannot beat the location either! Please bring back pictures!

Melanie- should be arriving home after visiting my town, can't wait to hear what you think of Mystic, it is nice here in the summertime!

Tracy- so, what is a gymboss? I did google it, but how are you fitting that into your current routine? do you take it to the gym with you?

Wendy- I go to bed early too- I am not much fun at 11pm

Kris- awesome on finishing Meso 1! How many cardio days are you doing on your rest day? I will be on vacation when I have my rest week, but can still do some running on my off day. Hmmmm need to come up with a plan for the off week...

Good morning everyone! I did Hardcore Extreme (the high/low interval PM - no weights in that one) and one of the Coremax Premixes this a.m.:) Got a taste of IMAX 3 before I try that one "for real" - Wow - great workout - I appreciated the Lowmax parts for sure - though they're tough too, my 41 year old body likes the lack of impact:eek:

Hi Bridget - Woohoo!! - 1/2way through M1 - don't you love the feeling after the workouts (well after the burn wears off lol )? I can't do the Wall Squats and pick up the weights either very well. Those are tough! I consider my recovery week to have started today. I wasn't sure either about the cardio (if I should just do light cardio or if it was ok to do the harder stuff as long as no weights) So I asked on this board and these ladies had good advice as usual and overall said that they focus on stretching and core, but also that they usually do more than just light cardio - while you're not doing the weights between, you can focus more easily on the cardio. Kiki said that between Meso 2 and 3, she might take it more easy during that recovery week. :) So for this week I have several days of tougher cardio, but then a few days of lighter stuff (yoga and an Ellen Barrett video or two) - so I've got a plan but will probably just listen to how I feel and change it if I want/need to. :) I was stressed about the recovery week to be honest, didn't know what "light" stuff I'd do - it's too hot to walk here even in the a.m. (I live in Arizona), I don't have a bike or any indoor cardio equipment right now - just videos:)

Hi Tracy - hope you had a great time with your friends:) Have a great day:)

Hi Melanie, Kiki, Autumn, Wendy and Jen! Not sure when everyone will be back around:) Hope the roadtrip is awesome for you RTers! Can't wait to hear about it!

Have a great day - bringing my doggie in for some salon services today and a little running around Phoenix (supposed to be 118 degrees today - summer is here I guess - so maybe will save the running around to inside A/C areas:) )

Hey Kris,

Maybe I can unearth my Terminator DVD between Meso 2 & 3 as a big cardio workout. Okay, so that isn't a light card, yoga workout, but you are making me think that it is more do-able than the title suggests!

Last June I was at my brother's house in AZ- I was still on East coast time, and awake at 4-5am- I took a run around their neighborhood and was surprised by all the people out and about that early in the morning. Even though I ran pretty hard, got my HR up, I came back to his house bone dry- the sweat just evaporated off. I think if I lived in AZ, I would get up early, take an afternoon siesta, then do stuff in the evenings, when it is cooler.

Good morning Bridget and Kris...I think we three may be the only ones on the board today!!!

Bridget:: woo hoo and half way through...I remember those legs in Meso1...they were tougher than Meso 2...that is one reason why I like M1 better than M2. A gymboss is an interval times that you use to time your intervals for workouts like at BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv. You can only get gymboss at their website online. I have not found anything else like the gymboss at sporting goods stores.

I did BR's July1 Fierce Friday workout this morning and then KCM 30 min to fitness Kickboxing.

Kris: I have most of Cathe's dvd's, but HC Extreme is one I passed on...it looked really tough at the time it first came out! 118 degrees and I thought we got hot here in CA!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!
