STS and abs

I posted my question in the STS section but I didn't get any answer and it seems there is more action here :)

A lot of STS users got good results in their abs

my question is it because lifting heavy works the ab at the same time? I feel like that when I lift heavy but I am not sure if it's true. Or is it because you did Abs STS?

How many times did you workout your abs while doing STS?

thx

I think it must be the heavy weights, it takes a lot of core strength to do most moves correctly. I only worked my abs twice a week during STS and got better results that I ever have abwise! I really think it's the heavy weights. :)

oh wow

thx for answering

When I lift heavy, I feel that my abs are tighter. i never did heavy weights for a long time. I can never workout more than 5 days a week so I felt, I didn't have place to incorporate 3 abs workout. 2 sounds more possible.

I also started the couch to 5k which I am so enjoying. I think during the week, I would do STS following by walk / run and weekends 2 intense 1 hr Cathe cardio. And abs once a weekday and once a weekend sound more possible since I also want to al least incorporate one good stretch segment a week.

more info from others would be nice too

I am going to agree that it was the heavy weights and consistent use of heavy weights (STS was first time I ever followed a rotation for any real amount of time) more so than STS abs.

I often subbed my old favorite (and usually shorter) Cathe ab routines for the STS abs in the rotation and still I had really good results (which would show up even more if I would clean up my eating but that is another topic).
