STS 6x's a week and rest periods

Cathlete
For those of you who have done STS 6 times a week, do you still take the recommended week off between meso's, or do you omit the rest week all together?

For those doing sts 6 times a week or you doing each workout twice or half of each workout each time? How do you fit in time for cardio??

I e been doing each workout twice a week. For the legs..I have been doing one of the meso actual legs and my 2nd legs is always the plyo so i can count it as a cardio..sort of..

As for cardio I try and do a hiitor turbo fire 2x a week maybe 1 longer workout (today i did low max) and go for walks to sort of rest my body..

When i am on my rest week I crank up the cardio (IMAX 3, terminator, cardio core etc)

I have completed meso 1 and am on week 2 of meso 2...if i find i am tired i cut down on the cardio and just go for longer walks..:)

Thanks Steph! And hello, sry for ducking out of the forum lately, but as I said I needed a break so hopefully no hard feelings. I find I'm getting back to enjoying working out instead of it being a chore. Right now I'm trying to just do 30 minute workouts when I can and if I dont have time, then tomorrow's another day.

I know you're not a cardio junkie, do you find that doing sts 6x with limited cardio that you're still able to see some body fat shedding? I know alot is diet and not having a "broken" scale, but just wondering.

Hey Stacy I wasn't sure that is was you..

Good to hear your starting to like working out again:D

Now...As for the fat I am not sure...I will tell you tomorrow when i weigh myself...I had serious pms and stress eating so i decided to take a week off of weighing:p

I am enjoying the sts 6x a week, I am feeling pretty fierce upperbody wise.. as for the troublesome 10 pounds that are clinging on for dear life...well I don't really notice a difference...as i said my upperbody is getting pretty good,, seeing some great arm and shoulder definition...

As for the cardio..I really am trying to get in some..Its pretty funny considering i USED to be A CARDIO JUNKY...now I just make sure i get some in..
The only problem i see you having (not being nit picky) is that I have more free time (sort of) on my side...I often do either the cardio or weight portion of my day on my lunch breaks or spares at work...Since I am walking with my students to and from the tennis courts at school (15 min walk each direction) I am sneakily getting in my cardio there when i am desperate (most days i go 3x a day to the courts=90min)

I have a shower at work and can be sweaty if i have to:eek:

On weekends I try to get through the sts discs once..ei..each of the three for that week on Sat and sunday with an extra cardio..for example yesterday i did one upper and one lower from sts, today the other upper and low max for cardio. Tomorrow i'll try to get another cardio. tuesday upper , wednesday plyo legs and thurs other upper..friday no weights..now on the days i do no weights i try to get a longer cardio (low max, step..) on the days I do weights a hiit or turbo fire except for the day i do plyo legs.. i count that as a cardio and weights (double duty workout):D

Hope that helps and pm me if you need anymore help! great hearing from you..hope work is better:D
