OK, I'm back for a bit. Needed to take a break from the work stuff!!
I took Toby out for his early morning duty, and was greated by the aroma of a very potent skunk. That's the problem when it starts warming up here, the skunks come out in force, and so does their smell
. It drives DH crazy. We have a huge lawn, and he knows every inch of it. When the skunks start digging, my DH starts his yearly ritual of finding ways to divert them to the neighbors instead of us.
Gayle-Now you know Gayle, that I
could say that the WM is not printing out properly because psychologically, you really want to wait for me to catch up. Just for the record though, I'm
not saying that, because I don't want to be construed as a trouble maker (Just something for you to think about
).
Kim-Going away to Vegas!!!! What a great way to celebrate your 40th Birthday. And just remember, "What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas", but if you want to share the details with us, we won't tell, really we won't
. My DH and I, along with a few friends are going in September to celebrate my B'day. I've never been, so I am really, really looking forward to it. I'm not much of a gambler, but I hear the shows are fantastic. I'm also a major people watcher. Set me down in a comfortable chair in a crowded room, and I'm good to go... Have fun car shopping!
Jo-When I called my friend yesterday to confirm dinner plans, she told me she already made a healthy dessert
mad:
), so the chocolate mint delite will have to wait a little longer!! My DH gave me a
up on the baked beans. I told him I put a little extra love in them this time.
Chrissy-Enjoy your rest week!! I think 12, 10 & 7's are still a great accomplishment for the shoulder work. I haven't gotten to that disc yet, but I'm sure the shoulders really have been worked hard up to that point. Keep up the great work!
Tracy-Good luck with the Biggest Loser 30 Day Jump Start. I'm sure this will head you in the right direction. I read a post some months back about someone recommending The Abs Diet for Women by David Zinczenko. It's not really a diet but just simple techniques and ideas about eating right. The author states facts in humorous ways, so it's easy reading, and I have pulled a lot of really good info from the book.
My legs are feeling a little tight from Disc 9, more so in the hamstrings then anywhere else. My plan is to do the CCV7 again on the treadmill. It's a hard one, but with the extra eating and drinking that I'll be doing later today, I need that push. Sometimes after a real hard workout, I've been known (actually many times) to fall asleep on the couch while we still have company over. I only do that with friends that I'm comfortable enough with to see me "ever so delicately drooling on myself" while I snore away!!! I am blaming those episodes on the hard workouts, but it could be the extra glass of wine I had with dinner
.
Ok, I need to get back to the work files for a bit, and tidy up the house before the festivities start. P.S. I need to start printing out the posts from the previous days because my memory retention is slim to none as to what was discussed earlier, and I apologize if I didn't acknowledge a topic. If I try to page back, I loose my current post, which is probably what happened the other 2 times.
Have a good day, and we'll talk soon...
Mary
