Strength in Numbers

Pam Great job on BM step and power circuits especially with struggling through it. Oh wow that sounds tiring to leave so late and drive. Hope you are having fun!

Cheryl Oh no. I am sorry about your mom's UTI! Take care of you and her as best as you can in this stressful time.

Friday I did a lower body workout and then did some cleaning and things around the house. DH came home early and we went for a walk. Saturday I did my mobility and then DH had the brilliant idea to rearrange our living room furniture even though I told him our sectional would only work one way in the living room. We spent 4 hours moving the 5 pieces of the sectional, the entertainment center, a curio cabinet and my desk from wall to wall before he finally was admitted I was right and we put it all back where it was originally. Silver lining is we got the dog hair vacuumed up from under the furniture and we found 3 hidden bones. Sunday I did an upper body workout. Monday was a nice sleep in day and being lazy although DH and I did go for a walk. This morning I did a lower body workout.

Have a great day!

Julie Good job on your lower body workout, your walk, mobility work and upper body workout. Well at least there was a silver lining to all the furniture moving.

So my mom took a turn for the worse. The medications were no longer working and things are terminal. I think she may only have a day or two left at most. I haven't been working out with everything going on and I probably won't post again until next week as there are things that will need to be dealt with.

Cheryl

Cheryl I am so sorry. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. Take all the time you need to take care of your mom and yourself.

Cheryl I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I will be thinking of you and your family and keeping you in my prayers.

Julie It sounds like you are remaining consistent with your workouts. I hope you are doing well.

We ended up going to the hockey game before leaving for NY last Thursday night. We were sorry that we did because they didn’t play well and lost. We drove for about 3 hours or so and ended up stopping for the night around 1:45 am. We got to Itahca around 4:30 pm on Friday in plenty of time for the 6 pm ceremony. The Friday night ceremony was for all of the PhD students and Saturday morning was for everyone in the Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace programs. It was terrible weather, but we had a nice time. On Monday we left and drove around a bit, then headed to Letchworth State Park area. It is beautiful with 3 water falls. We did a 12.5 mile hike the first day and my legs and feet were so sore for some reason. Luckily they recovered quickly, but we did some shorter hikes the next day. On Thursday we headed to Erie to DHs brothers house and they had a shower for Carl and Jordan on Saturday. We were going to stay until today, but it was so cold and miserable there that we came home yesterday. This morning I did LITE Metabolic Blast with the calorie crush and abs. It was a good one to do to ease back into things. Now I need to get the laundry done and do some grocery shopping and get caught up on things. Have a great day!

Pam

Hi ladies. I hope things are going ok. Thinking about you in this difficult time Cheryl. This morning for me was Great Glutes. Now I’m getting caught up on laundry and have a wish this afternoon.

Pam

Good morning ladies. This morning was Intensity series Pyramid Upper Body. I hadn’t done that one in forever. I didn’t do the full pikes, I replaced them with ball exchange. I’m not crazy about all the reps, but it was a good change of pace.

Pam

Pam Glad you had a safe trip and a good time at the graduation. The hikes sound so beautiful and fun. Great job on LITE MB w/ CC and abs, GG, and PUB! Ball exchange is much better than those pikes.

Sorry I have been MIA all week. I have been super busy. Monday I took Gunner to a vet appointment at the University of Illinois as part of his trial he is in. They did testing on him and came back out and said he is a perfect puppy. So much so they asked if they could use him as a control dog in another trial in which he would have to wear a heart rate harness for 24 hours and then will get an MRI on his heart in a few months. Since it is all free diagnostics I figure why not. Tuesday and Wednesday I had back to back meetings but I did do my workouts legs on Tuesday and upper on Wednesday. Now I am looking forward to the weekend!

Have a great weekend!

Julie Don’t worry about being MIA, it happens to all of us sometimes. Wow, that is amazing about Gunner! It’s a bonus to get all of those diagnostics for no charge too! Great job on your legs and upper body workouts! Hopefully you’ll get some time to relax this weekend.

This morning was Cardio and Weights, another one I haven’t done in ages. It wasn’t really the best choice after doing upper body yesterday, I didn’t remember that it had so much upper body work. I made it through though. It’s a rainy day here today so I will get some work done inside. Have a great day.
