Hi,

Who else has had this wretched stomach virus that's been going around? I swear I was perfectly fine Saturday and then two seconds later BAM...out for the count. I spent the next 24 hours spewing from both ends until I ended up in the ER due to dehydration. I'm able to keep some stuff down now, but feel like someone has sucked the life out of me. BRUTAL! (And of course, the weather is just gorgeous outside and I was planning a nice run at the park....I guess I'll have to put that off for at least another week!!)

:(

I haven't had that particular buggie yet this year, and I sure don't want it. But here's hoping you feel better soon. The only good thing about the belly monkeys is that they're relatively short lived.

Been there. This past first weekend in March, DH got it on a Saturday at about 12:30 p.m.; by 5:30 p.m. he was in the woof and stayed there for hours. Monday, at work, at 10:00 I was fine, and at 10:01 oh. my. god. I left work early, and was so nervous something might happen I copped a trash bag from my office as an ersatz barf bag for the ride home. By 5:30 p.m., The Bald One was in the woof and stayed there for hours.

Totally depleting. I'm sorry for ya, Reesie-Cup. It will take you another 5-6 days to get back to normal. Let yourself get well.

I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Glad you are starting to feel a bit better though.

When a bad stomach bug went around during Christmastime of 2006 my 18 month old (at the time) DS contracted it. He ended up in the hospital for a few days starting Christmas morning and was on medication for over a year because he he ended up seizing.

That was a BAD bug. Alot of my family ended up catching it from him including my poor DH who was at the hospital Christmas morning making sure he was near a bathroom at all times. :-( My mom was also home extremely ill that morning so as a result she couldn't come to the hospital until the next evening. It broke her heart.

Anyway, knock on wood, I didn't get then and haven't gotten it at all yet. Hopefully I never do. It's awful, I know. I hope you are at 100% soon!

(((HUGS)))

I didn't get it but was sure I would. My office was teaching a class last week with 14 students at a hotel, and 4 of them came down with it. A couple people working at the hotel got it too. I was crossing my fingers because I had been around the students that had gotten sick. I live in VA, I don't know if this a regional thing or what, but it's out there! Hope you feel better!

Hopefully I don't get it . . . my supervisor was out 2 days last week from it. And another co-worker called this a.m. from the ER- she was off yesterday too. The ER doctor said she is pretty dehydrated and they were keeping her so she could have get some fluids via IV.

I hope you feel better.

This was our first entire family, bug ever. It suhuhuhucked! My four year old son was the first to come down with it, then me, 7 year old son, and finally...dear husband. We never get sick together, and rarely at all. We had it about 3 weeks ago. It sure made me grateful for the health we normally have. Once again, it suhuhuhucked!
Feel better!
