Still learning . . . what is after STS?

I kept waiting and hoping to find the answer to my question but I think that I am just too new to this to get it! I am coming in to knowing the Cathe workouts just as STS is going into production. After a person does the STS full rotation, then what? Do you start it over, continue on as usual with other weight workouts (gym styles, slow and heavy, etc) for a while, then go back to STS, or what? I am so excited about this whole thing that I hardly sleep restfully because all night long in my dreams, I am working out and deciding which DVD to get next :) It is such a relief to feel this way though because I was so burned out from the gym and could hardly make myself go. In just a few weeks, I have already seen a difference in my energy level and my body feels tighter. I can only imagine what the STS will do - very exciting indeed. AND, I don't have the daily gym dread }( anymore! Thanks in advance - Shana

You certainly could repeat STS after finishing it the first time, but you may want to do something else before returning to STS. A common problem with exercisers is they find a routine they like and that produces results for them, but then they overdue it and after a period of time either become bored with the routine or hit a plateau. I would suggest taking a month off after finishing STS and to do something different. This will help to prevent boredom and overuse injuries as well as keeping your body challenged in a new and different way reducing the chance of hitting a plateau.

Thank you for the response. Is it designed to be repeated periodically, rather than a one time use? I would certainly assume so but just want to be sure I understand it correctly. So, do STS, take a month or so off to do other weight work, come back to STS, complete it then take another month off for variety and change, back to STS...? It would end up being STS about three times a year . . . 2 at the least, 3 at the most?? Thank you again! Shana

Yes, you can and should repeat STS. I think you will get more out of STS the 2nd time as you will be more familiar with the moves and weights you will need for each exercise. I would suggest doing STS between 2 and 3 times per year.
