It is really worth the investment and you will just grow out of any other step you buy (possibly with the exception of the Reebok step, but that is 8 inches shorter than the Original Step).
Oops you said "step video"--I read "step" the first time. In that case, I recommend BodyMax since you can break it up into step, step circuits (legs) and weights. If you want purely step, maybe go for Rythmic Step.
