Step Works and BPM's

Hi,

I did Step Works this morning for the first time in over a year. I regularly did Cathe's newer step workouts (SJP, Rhythmic Step, C&W, Step Blast), prior to starting a P90X rotation 4 weeks ago.

It felt as if Step Works was FAST. Does anyone know the BPM"s for Cathe's step workouts? I worry that I might be losing some cardio capacity.

I don't know the BPMs of StepWorks, but I find it is faster than her newer workouts. It's very similar to the step-only portion of BodyMax. StepWorks is so different from her other step workouts, I find, because the first section is the most difficult and longest, the second section calms down quite a bit (until all the knee-lifts and abducters at the end), and section three is the easiest. If I'm really tired on a day when this workout comes up in a rotation, I just tell myself that I only have to get through the first section, then the rest becomes easy. Is that also how you experience the workout?

Hi Sandra,

I found the third section of Step Works to be MUCH easier than the first two sections, and definitely needed the break! Yes, I agree that it is similar to BodyMax, in that it is more intense than most others. I am always surprised how much harder I work during both of these routines.

I have to figure they both go faster than normal, but I'd still love a list of the BPM's, if anyone has it?
