Step move substitutions?

Ok, talk about moves we love and hate.... let's talk about moves we need to change due to complaining knees, carpeting, lack of space, etc....post your sub question here and maybe someone will post what they do instead.

I am particularly interested in what anyone uses in place of 360s... I get bored of just doing a basic step up in places like that.

Thanks!
Marie

I substitute jump squats (I think that's what they are called) in C&W ~ where your left foot is on the step, and right foot in on the floor and you rotate until your left foot is on the floor and right foot on the step. I do vertical lunges from the top of the step instead.

Marie,

Can you do step leaps or side ups or any kind of leaping repeater instead of the 360?

I have to be super careful on pivots so I don't hurt my knees.

Marie:
I obviously got rid of the workout(s) that contain(s) the 360-degree move (probably for that very reason!), but when I substitute, I usually try doing the turny moves (180-degree or 360-degree moves) while staying facing forward. For most of them (like flying angels and scoop turns), I end up being at the same place, on the same beat as Cathe and crew when it's over.
