Step move explanations

Cathe, or anyone, please explain to me the differences or mechanics of some of these moves:

  1. Three knee repeater vs. "sculpting for three" vs. knee smashes
  2. cha-cha vs. triples around the step
  3. core repeaters (yeah, I just can't seem to do this one right at all
I'm sure there are more but these are the ones I'm thinking of right now.

Thanks in advance!

The main difference in a lot of these moves is the emphasis on a certain area.

1. Sculpting for 3 you keep your leg on the step down in more of a squat while you raise your other knee - so the emphasis is on scuplting the leg/glutes (So your head/body is not really going up and down - you stay more low and static while working the leg). Three knee repeater can have more of a cardio effect as you could be jumping a little while performing it. Knees smashes is taking your arms and pulling down as you pull you knee up into like a kickbox smash. So the emphasis might be more core and cardio.

2. as far as the cha-cha and the triples around - hmmm... well the triples around are usually 3 steps - then a turn and another 3 to get around to the other side of the step - not sure what context you are meaning with the cha-cha. I know there are cha-cha-cha's on the corners of the step and such - but usually it is just the 3 taps - then switch to the other side. The triples around are always on the floor only.

3. Core repeaters are usually with a leg out to the side a bit - and the emphasis is not really moving the leg high in the air but more focusing on the core area and getting a good squeeze through the abs.

Hope that helps some...
