Step, Jump and Pump!

Hey Cathe and the educated crowd,

Just a quick question. Would you consider SJ&P a full body workout for weights? Would it be okay to do this workout the day after Boot Camp? I thought I read somewhere on these forums once that it would be okay to do a weights workout the day after Boot Camp. Just curious, I am trying to get a new rotation together using Intensity and Body Blast series. Thanks!

Yes, Step Jump and Pump is a total body workout. I personally would not do this one after a bootcamp day. But, I've never done bootcamp, so I could be wrong. I tried to look up the body blast Intensity series rotation that someone came up with, but I couldn't find it. But I bet if Jillybean sees this she could come up with a rotation. She's good like that! So, Jillybean if you're out there can you help?
Sorry I'm not of more help, I tried, really I did.

IMHO, if you can handle Boot Camp and SJP separately, there's no reason you can't do them on consecutive days. These are each circuit-oriented workouts and the resistance cycles are brief and utilize far less than one's isolated strength weight loads. I'd be careful if you were coming off of a heavy weight day like PUB/PLB, S&H or what have you.

I've only done these two with a cardio only day in between. I don't think I could handle them both on consecutive days, but that's just me :)

Thanks for your input! I will have to attempt this and see how it goes. If it's too much, then I know I need to just put more time in between. When I've done Boot Camp in the past I haven't used very heavy weights, whereas I would with SJ&P, so maybe it'll work. I'll keep you posted! Thanks again!
